Florida Weimaraner Rescue, now operating as Big Dog Ranch Rescue, is the largest no-kill and cage-free rescue in the Southeast. Established in 2008, it started over ten years ago rescuing Weimaraners and expanded to save all dogs. The organization is committed to rescuing, nurturing, and adopting dogs of all sizes into loving homes. It is a great facility, described as a large, very clean place with plenty of room for the dogs. The staff and volunteers are incredible, amazing, organized, and professional. They take very good care of their animals, and everyone there enjoys and loves the dogs. The rescue is highly recommended for adoption. The process is smooth; prospective adopters are advised to fill out an application online first. The team is helpful, provides all necessary information about the dogs, and carefully facilitates meetings to ensure a good match with other pets. They even offer services like transporting dogs between locations. The rescue also provides excellent dog training services, offering a number of on-property programs and in-home services at reasonable prices. The trainers are masters, described as kind and patient, educating owners and helping dogs with obedience and socialization. The organization's goal is to save as many lives as possible, having saved over 43,000 dogs to date, and it is a wonderful organization to support.
