HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not hire these people at all! They failed to give us the full 3 days to load the container. It was estimated to be delivered within 8-10 business days after pick up, didn't actually ship till the 10th day. Moving across the country is stressful enough, but going almost 3 weeks without our belongings is awful, & we paid almost $4000! Lots of hidden fees. Supervisors don’t care, most of the people when you first call are nice but once you get the higher ups, no empathy. Save yourself the headache & hire a REAL moving company. Oh & they only offered a $50 compensation… are you KIDDING?!? Terrible experience all the way through, we moved from FL to NV.

0 stars! They quote you a total cost but it is actually just an estimate and should be titled estimated total cost. Complete scammers! At the end they will randomly charge you 100s more. RUN FAR AWAY!

They are very responsive, once they get the information. It was difficult to get ahold of them but nothing is , as it was.

They just push you back and show no emotion . DO NOT USE THEM! Pay the extra for pod it's 100% not worth the headache and not having your stuff

All kinds of problem with our move from Clermont, FL to Corvallis, OR with Zippy Shell. Will leave out the high cost of POD even with a 15% discount and the slightly less cost of PACKRAT (when I told them about the POD estimate) who would not deliver to Corvallis even though they use the exact same warehouse as ZippyShell (their sister company).First the GOOD: Zippy Shell matched the discounted POD price, which was a bit more than PackRat. However they included a 3 hour window where the moving company that delivered the container actually unloaded it for us. They also included an extra day (4 instead of 3) for us to load the container. Now the BAD: First on Saturday morning before the scheduled Monday delivery of the container to our packing location I get an email saying the credit card was declined. I checked American Express and saw the transaction was "Pending" and the AmEx customer rep said that meant it was approved but not claimed by the recipient yet, Of course Zippy was closed over the weekend so I couldn't get ahold of them till Monday when it was supposed to be delivered. When I finally got ahold of them they totally blew off my concern and said that email just happens from time to time. Secondly instead of the 10-14 day delivery they said we would get, it took them 21 days to get it to their Salem, OR warehouse & then 7 more days to get a third party mover to get it the 19 miles to our house.TLDR: When you are paying over $4400. for a container move accept the extra $400. charge from POD and use them.

Worst experience ever! We moved from FL to NC in August and first, they LOST our container. The only way they found it was because I took a picture of the ID on the cage when we loaded it! Then, it arrived at our home two weeks late with a rat! Four months later, we have discovered bed bugs in our couch that was put directly in the basement along with all the other container contents (thank goodness we did not bring that couch into the house!). This company should be shut down. Dumbest employees and worst system of "organization"!

Unlike our move with Zippy in 2016 that went great, 2022 was disastrous. Damaged and gouges to furniture, dirt and metal shavings on our mattress, crushed boxes and bins. Called 2 weeks ahead to schedule a delivery date and wound up being 4 weeks until movers were available which was highly inconvenient. Zippy this time, not recommended. One positive note. Our moving coordinator was friendly and enjoyable to talk with and rates 5 stars. But that was it. I made a complaint after our move without any response.

We moved from Jessup MD to Jacksonville FL, this July 2022. The Moving and Loading company, Zippy Shell/1-800-Pack Rat hired to do this was very unprofessional! I contracted for a 2 Bedroom Apartment move, we really didn't have quite a 2 Bedroom Apartment. As one Bedroom was sort of a Office with Computer Desk only. Well I sent Zippy Shell/800-Pack Rat which is one and the same company, my Itinerary. Listed King Bedroom suite, Admore, Dresser and Bed, 27 Plastic Tote containers, Living Room furniture: Leather Recliner Sofa, Love Seat and Recliner. 2 Bicycles and some clothes.....We painstakingly, shrink wrapped and Bubble wrapped Everything! Well, upon arrival of the Loading company..two young men showed up. After about 30 minutes into the move...One of the Loaders, advised me that Zippy Shell's container was too small for my Household belongings. I was upset and frantic as it was two days before my deadline to vacate our Apartment. I called Zippy Shell and Pack-Rat, I was told I could either purchase another $3,000 container or Cancel the move. At this point they figure they have you over a barrel. I promptly hung up and notified my Wife, that we had a Major problem! She also called Zippy Shell and got the same business. We prayed and continued with the move. I took pictures of how the Loaders just basically threw our Precious Household items into this container! I also called and emailed both Zippy Shell and 800-PACK-RAT, of this situation. Well needless to say, we had to give and throw away about half of our belongings. The packed the Sofa and Loveseat, Main Bedroom furniture, 23 of the 27 plastic Tote containers, and our two TV's a 72 inch Vizio and a 60 inch Samsung flat screens.Well, our Household items did get to Jacksonville Fla, within a week. But....boy Oh boy, when the driver of the Zippy Shell container pull up. The Supervisor of the Unload, knocked on my door and had me identify myself. Asked me to bring my camera or phone to view my container as he opened the truck doors. Now, at this point, the Zippy Shell Container is still Locked with my padlock on it! So, from MD to FL, no one had been able to access our property. But everything in the container was tossed around and smashed into other items, the MD Loaders had packed the plastic containers on top of our Dresser and Admore, they had crushed our TVs' which were in TV moving boxes and Shrink wrapped. Our Bedroom Dresser and Admore were crushed and broken. Our Living Room furniture was damaged, both the Sofa and Loveseat! Computer damaged, Pictures and Artifacts damaged! This was a Total NightMare! We took dozen and dozen of photos of the damage which still in the Locked Container and after the Unloaders unpacked the truck. The Unloading company took their own pictures as well, as they did not want to be accused of the mayhelm of a move!Again we promptly called, emailed and submitted a Damage Claim to Zippy Shell/800-Pack Rat and after 3 months, they wrote back with a Sorry about that, it's not our fault, Dear John letter! Well over $1,600 in damages done, and now the $15 Million dollar a year, Mother and Sister companies both refusing to pay for the Damages!WARNING!!!! WARNING!!! DON'T USE ZIPPY SHELL OR 1-800-PACK-RAT!! The company name is for Real they are Really RATS!!We are going to seek Legal Civil Suite against both companies. Both because of our Precious Household items being Damaged and because these companies probably get away with this all the time. Hoping that Customers will just accept the damages and never challenge them to Pay for the consequences of their companies actions!

BEWARE: My move changed as of Sept 22, 2022. I attempted to use the link in my email to contact Zippy Shell, but link did not work yesterday or today, nor did it work initially. Thus I did Not have access to the contract, so did not know cancellation policies that states 10 days in advance. At this point it's 6 days. Charged $299 to cancel even though I could Not access contract to know policies or dates involved. Handled by Nathan, supervisor at corporate location per him. Notified sales rep Dio on day of initial contact that link did not work and did not receive a new email with link until speaking today with Nathan when he sends copy. Will not use Zippy Shell for any moves going forward. Use Pods where you can cancel even 24 hours prior without charge.

Our things were suppose to arrive today which was the the latest estimate. Now they are “delayed in transit”. Also, plan on an additional “storage charge” of over $200 in addition to your quote even if you want your things shipped ASAP and don’t require shipping. The sales teams do not properly explain things. Our items were picked up on the 10th and they are nowhere to be seen. If having your things on-time is important, go with someone else.

Very unprofessional and broke furniture and when I filed a claim nor response since August 2021!! Kept calling and they kept saying someone will call back and have resolution! Very poor customer service and CEO and all executives should be accountable for all the facilities and EE's poor service ! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ZIPPY DBA PACKRAT!

On 7/7/2022, I booked a zippy shell with the promise of it arriving to my driveway for loading and unloading for our cross country move. They were unable to drop it off which resulted in me having to rent a uhaul for $161.31 and gas for $50 to transport the items to their facility and load the items myself at the facility. I was not offered reimbursement for these costs. I was told then that it'd be okay once it gets out to Florida that when it arrives they'd call me. I did not receive a call on expected arrival day. On 8/5/2022, I called them asking where it was at and that's when I was told it arrived. I asked for drop off immediately as it's already running late. They tell me it will be an additional week possibly 2 weeks for drop off. This is resulting in us acquiring another uhaul for $89.50 and gas for $30 just to get our items. I then showed up after spending this and now they are refusing to give us our items. I am beyond livid. I need my stuff ASAP! I am seeking full reimbursement for truck rental, gas, and initial transaction due to services not being rendered as initially promised resulting in additional money and time spent. Along with my stuff being delivered ASAP to my address.
