“JUST .....WOW. what a great place to shop! This store is laid out like most Publix, but it is bigger than others and the selection is amazing. Hands down Publix has the prettiest selection of veggies and fruit. Everything is so clean and the displays are fully stocked. Beginning with the florals all the way around the store everywhere you look is something yummy and tempting. Associates are ready and willing to help. The fresh seafood, meat and poultry counters are large and the prices are competative. I was pleased with the great selection. I have visited this location 3 times since we arrived, each visit has been a most enjoyable experience.”

“It's great for someone who is sensory overloaded in Walmart & and Publix but doesn't like Winn Dixie. I hesitate to give this review because Aldi is surely a best kept secret within the grocery industry. It's kind of like a wholesale Trader Joe's. I love it. They have some gluten-free snacks and pizzas for MUCH less $, as well as better pricing for everything in the store!”

“I hear so much about this place that it was an obligation to stop by and try their food. Every great thing was right the food is excellent while tasting fresh and authentic. No wonder many people go out of the way to eat there food.”

“I love this Publix because it has always people that helps you. But today I think I met one of the nicest people ever, his name is Orlando! He was stocking the shelves in the fruits section and he was so kind to my kid that melt my heart! Thanks Orlando!”

“Easy and usually quick shopping here, with many prices even lower than Walmart, including produce. Some items that I consistently come here for are maple bacon, Gen. Tso Sauce, flavored creamers, cold cuts & cheese, raw meats, mostly because of great prices and selection variety. They also have a couple+ isles of housewares; example: picked up a nice pack of large garden stakes. One more item: I get all my stock large paper bags here @ 12cents each, used for my home recycling items, as do many other shoppers.”

“Publix is on the higher price of their food, but it is always top-notch their fruit and produce is always fresh. the store is always clean and you can always find an employee if you need to ask a question which you cannot say that for most other food stores today. So although they may have a little higher prices they always do you have many amazing sales”

“This architectural format is unique. One of a kind? Extra large elevators to get from the first floor to the actual grocery aisles on the 2nd. One side has huge long staircases to get up a grand entrance. And the other like a shopping mall a handrail escalator. People can put their car in the middle and it takes your groceries down. I have had to talk to the manager about the professionalism and attitude at customer service. But the management was fabulous about it very kind. At that location they actually make a Boar's Head breakfast. What I mean by that they're more quality upscale meet variety you can go to the deli and they will make you a hot breakfast sandwich on any choice of bread with their bacon and sausage and egg and cheese variety and that's a nice touch. That is rare and current at that location.”

“Los Laureles is a gem for those who love authentic Mexican food. It has become my go-to carniceria for many reasons. The meat dept. has the best homemade chorizo in the area and the seasoned carne picada makes for a great steak taco or burrito. They have homemade tortillas available and fresh baked torta buns (Bolillos). All the dried Chiles and produce you need to make all the best Mexican dishes at home are here. They have a Mexican restaurant inside, you can dine in or carry out, normally when we have a taco party at home I pick up their refried beans, rice and their homemade hot sauces (red and green) all of which are phenomenal. They also have a taco cart most days outside serving up tacos to the neighborhood. If you are used to authentic Mexican food to take home, eat in or just to get the best ingredients to host your own (pro) taco party you need to come to Los Laureles.”

“The most underrated store in the USA - smaller selection but ( everything you need on daily basis) why would you need half an isle with the same stuff like in Walmart or Publix”

“Did you know you can shop Publix through the Providers app.
This is the Food card program through the State.
You can shop ahead of time, use your food card to pay and pick it up outside or inside at pick up area.
It's free for a $35 order.
Pretty much the same with Walmart.
Or through the Publix app and pay with your debit or credit card.
A service started during the Pandemic.
The service is still available and a good one.
I very much like this service, and saves me time, to let them shop for me.”

“The management at this location have a gift for picking all-star supporting teenagers to work the front of the store. They work hard and are very pleasant. It gives me hope.”

“This Publix is my absolute favorite. They are always giving out little freebies and the customer service here is excellent. They were giving out free balloons on the 4th of July and let me tell you, my son was thrilled to receive it. Best Publix in the area!”

“I also stumbled across this little hidden Gem. I had a Sopa de Res that was amazing!! With a side of fresh cilantro, lime, tortillas and an avocado perfectly ripe. ”

“I visit this store 3 or 4 times per week and I have never had a negative experience. Everyone always has a smile on their face and is more than willing to help. Great customer service! Love my neighborhood Publix!”

“They have a restaurant with great food. I don't know Spanish, but it's never a problem with ordering. The flauta plate is huge and so delicious. It's more like a platter. It fed both me and my sister for $15.”

“Went to Acapulco Saturday for the ingredients to make a dear friend un puré de malanga who is going through Chemo. My wants were specific. And from the sirloin thickness and cut to the bone broth, Luis Miguel at the Meat Dept went above and beyond to get me the right piece of sirloin while Juan walked the aisles in search of the Bone Broth I needed to make it even better for her. Thank you to the managers that helped these young men help me and for emulating the importance of customer service to its young staff.”

“It’s hard to find authentic Mexican tacos. This place has AMAZING tacos, gringas, birria de borrego, consomé, lengua, delicious cebolla asada and chiles toreados. Their salsas are not very spicy but they are flavorful. The micheladas (inside) “look great” I haven’t tried them, yet.Highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican tacos (outside) and cuisine (inside). Especially on the weekends Friday - Sunday, 4pm -12am.Come closer to 6:00 pm when they have the avocado salsa outside.”

“One of the best places to find Mexican/Latin items, candy, food, popsicles, pan dulce. I'd give it a 5, but it's always so crowded, parking is limited, and the layout is awkward. They have definitely outgrown that space.”

“Convenient location for those of us who live north of downtown Sarasota. It is a smaller store but still carries many of the essentials that we use. It also has a pharmacy and a liquor store next door.”
