I am a professional African-American woman. A career in the retail industry, Saks Fith Ave, Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, management for over thirty year. I thought I was a valued customer at Body and Soul in lighthouse point Florida 33064. To my surprise that wasn't the case... Unfortunately, in today's society, I still have to deal with racism... I purchased several items from this retail store many times. I needed to order a dress online. A particular dress they do not retail. I went to body and soul boutique in Lighthouse point to ask them as a value customer, would they assist me with a courtesy measurements. they lied and said they do not do measurements. They told me they can give me the measurement tape and I can do it myself. They also told me, they wouldn't do my measurements because I wasn't purchasing the address.. That they did not carry in their store. The older associate asked me my name. Because she wanted to look up my purchase history to confirm if I was really their customer. I told her my name didn't matter, but obviously the COLOR of my SKIN DID matter. I am a proud African-American woman. Like everyone else my money is GREEN! I will NEVER, EVER go back to that racist establishment again.. They have no idea how to treat Beautiful, Professional, successful African-American Women. They don't deserve my hard earn money!!!!!

Body & Soul have the gifts that keep on giving. I shop there often for myself and my boss. Everything from fine decor, beautiful clothes, and even a great Brighton corner for those jewelry accessories! Papyrus cards and they will wrap for you!Staff is always the same and they learn your name and your taste…small boutiques need to take a page from their book! Thank you Body & Soul! Every time we go my wife always finds so many things she loves. The staff is very friendly (not over friendly which can be annoying) and considerate. for example when we were there last weekend, my wife was told not to use one of the dressing rooms because it was not disinfected yet....Now that is caring and smart! Prices are great and the quality is also. Great Boutique!!!

Be careful what you buy... just about everything the owner sold me, or her incompentent sales help, was too big, then when I took it in for alterations, they either didn't do them completely, or were just plain sloppy and didn't finish the job properly. The worst thing is they lied and said that it was not their fault. They do not stand behind their clothing, if anything goes wrong, or you are unhappy, good luck getting any kind of satisfaction.

The owner has raised the rent by 50% on at least one business in this shopping center causing them to close. The owner will be updating the shopping center on the backs of these small businesses. He wouldn't try to do this to Publix who is also located there. Wouldn't be surprised to see others close.

I love this store. I love Millie (Owner). It is my "go to" place for gifts for my sister, friends and even my clients. Everything has always been very well received and loved. She always treats me with great attention and care. She knows what i like, what fits. She has even called me to let me know when a desired item arrives. I wear something from here almost every day and almost every time I am complemented. The space is comfortable, pretty, neat and clean. It is a joy to look around and shop. I always recommend Body & Soul Boutique to everyone.
