I love this Veterinarian and his staff .They are always pleasant and helpful with all of my pet needs.Dr Machado is an excellent surgeon that has done many c- sections and other surgeries for my babies. Even when I had to Euthanize my eldest dog ,they were so caring and professional. I recommend everyone to this clinic, and most of my new puppy owners continue to stay with this practice. I must add that it is the cleanest place I've ever taken my dogs.

Lee county pound offers rabies 3 yr for cheaper. All the other shots they did great. My lil baby was scared. They were gentle.

Stay away from this clinic, take my dog because he had a problem in that he always had his "little thing" outside and they told me that they should neuter him so that it wouldn't happen anymore. They charged me almost 500 dollars, when I picked him up the same day he had his "little thing outside" and the doctor told me that it was normal that little by little he would hide it. The 2 weeks that they told me to heal completely passed and it was much worse, an operation without results. It didn't stop there, they told me to do another quick surgery (cook the tip) so that it wouldn't come out anymore. They charged me almost 200 dollars more and had me come in 3 days to remove the stitches. We took him, we removed the stitches and it was even worse than before, now he never even puts away his "little thing" and he spends the day giving himself tongue much worse than before.
I feel like this clinic has no knowledge of what they do, they just want your money. If you love your pet, stay away from that place and look for a more professional one.

Brought my female dog in, payed over $400 for office visit, X-rays, bloodwork, and heartworm test, to be told my girl had a little fluid around her heart, and a slightly elevated white blood cell count, was given some prescriptions and sent home. After 4 days of zero improvement - she was getting worse - I called and asked to speak with Dr Machado because I had a couple questions about the medications. I was told all I could do was make another appointment, seemed like they truly did not care at this point. Took my dog to another vet for a second opinion, they reviewed the X-rays Dr Machado took and immediately diagnosed pyometra, and told me my dog was septic and in need of emergency surgery. She was close to dying at this point. The other vet was absolutely shocked that this was missed during her original work up and exam. I called Westgate Animal Clinic to discuss how she was misdiagnosed and was told I could have made another appointment, they would have been happy to see her again. For an additional fee. Westgate Animal Clinic was very dismissive, and uncaring - they sent my dog home to die and couldn’t care less. They are all about the money, I will never again bring one of my pets here. My pets have been going there for alittle over 2 years neverrrrrr again!!!!! Crazy, when they can't read the x rays that they took.. I want a full refund and i'm sure I'll never see it or get it...

I have been visiting this clinic for a long time. I am very grateful for everything they have done with my dogs. In truth, everyone who works there is very professional and if I trust them, I recommend the doctor 1000%.

I went today to get my cats booster and the moment we stepped in the vet he was very timid and wouldnt even look at me and the moment doctor stepped in the room he started hissing then i questioned the doctor about it and he immediately got offended and denied servicing him and told me to leave , and after the first visit the left part of his face was puffed up like if something or someone struck him

Super kind & helpful staff! Fair pricing on vet visits, medications & care. I had called around multiple places trying to find a place to bring my cat for care. The receptionist was so incredibly kind and made sure to stay on the phone with me until she was sure I had all the information that I needed. Ultimately I decided to bring my cat here because of how patient and helpful and kind the staff was towards me.

It seems abusive to me that for checking the heart and looking at the ears they charge $50, plus 50 more for the cytology, almost 50 for 2cc of medicine for the ears and 35 dollars more for 14 pills of antibiotics. In short, 200 dollars in examination and treatment for a dog's ears, which with an ear cleaning would have been solved. Taking care of our pets is not a luxury, it is a necessity to keep them healthy and cared for, learn to be more considerate of your clients.
