“Tony Klima is far and away the area's most magnificent contractor. We had completed most of the renovations in our 1962 home, but the final major renovation was the kitchen which would be completely gutted and then completely rebuilt. While Tony's Floors of Distinction didn't do all of the work -- or even half of it -- he was supernaturally generous with advice, recommendations, leads, and offers to assist -- even though he knew he wouldn't personally profit from passing on work to others. It wasn't that we wouldn't have worked with him, but the cabinetry and flooring we eventually decided upon were items he didn't have in stock.

When we ordered an unusual terrazzo tile from Minnesota, Tony even allowed us to place it in his warehouse until we were ready to have it installed. Then he made several trips to help us with measurements -- and floored us (no pun intended) when he shared those with the company that would build the cabinetry he didn't have in stock. He was so different than anyone we had ever worked with, and each time we had to explain that we'd made a decision that would cut into his bottom line, he shrugged it off and explained he was just there to help.

If you've ever renovated a kitchen, it's like building a house with decisions on plumbing, electric, design, and structure often being made all at once. Had Floors of Distinction not been available, we have no idea how we would have ever completed the project. The best part is that the biggest change -- and one that Tony facilitated -- was that the Minnesota tile we had ordered was installed with laser-like accuracy by one of his gifted employees. Once that was completed, we realized that not only did Tony go above and beyond, he was as dedicated to the project as we were. Despite the hours he spent with us, and despite our desire to work with him on other aspects of the project, he never took offense when we had to go elsewhere and -- here's the kicker -- he refused all offers to pay him something to compensate him for his time.

You won't find another one like Tony Klima. More than highly recommended.”
