Worst moving experience ever. They are a broker. I Zelled a man I did not know $3000 and seemed to have no association with GM Van Lines, because my stuff was on his truck. He charged me $150 for going up stairs (which should just be in the cost of moving) and then he asked for a $50 tip for him and his partner. The next day after the move, he called me and said that he didn’t get the tip in his account. I told him that the tip was the extra $150 I paid you and said “I guess you don’t understand tipping”. Completely disrespectful and unprofessional.
The only things they brought upstairs was furniture. All of my boxes, I told them to put in the garage, because they probably would have charged me another $1000 dollars to bring all the boxes upstairs. So the only person who should be getting tipped is me, because I am moving the moving boxes where they need to go. Also, GM Van Lines, please don’t have your customers zelling a random mover/individual with another moving company. It is very unprofessional. The only reason I did it is because my stuff was on their truck. The three guys who wrapped all my stuff and loaded the truck were great, beyond them…nightmare.

I recently used Gm Van Lines, they are the worst moving company I have ever used! They bait and switch, lie, and they badly broke legs off 2 pieces of my antique furniture, not to mention TV and a Buffett. Some pieces were also missing. Their Claims department is bogus, as I have filled out sent their claim forms a couple of times on line. They claim they have not received them! I then sent their claim form with pictures via UPS. A young lady from their office, actually called saying they had received my package. When I called to check status, they said they never received anything! This is the game they play, and are very good at! I just want to save the next person from ever using these scamming people
