Rooms are not up to date like photos from website. Staff is not helpful at all, asked for directions to commercial Blvd and was told to look for a bridge and he pointed to the direction I said, so I'm gonna see a bridge right down the block he goes it's right there. His coworker looked at him and said seriously find the bridge like I'm the idiot There is no bridge on A1A and commercial!!!. Charges $41 resort fee and the only accommodations were a pool. No inside bar or events happening. So not worth the money spent and we paid a lot! You are better off going to a 5star and paying same price. I would never recommend or go back to this place again. Elevators took so long and rugs in hallway were dirty and torn. Bathrooms needed some attention. When asked for car service ( circuit) i was told they had no idea what I meant. Went to café and asked for an egg sandwich and was told that they ran out of eggs at 8:15 in the morning and that if I wanted eggs I had to walk 40 feet over to the bar where they were serving breakfast in the main lobby and I said, why can't you just ask them for eggs and the girl behind the counter said oh now if I asked for eggs they're gonna make me a really big tray and that's just a lot of eggs. . Purchased bagels and coffee and it came to $8.12 and the girl said well I'm just gonna charge you $8 hours because I really don't wanna have to deal with the change right now.

Not a resort! The web site pictures must be old. The carpet in our room was wet and disgusting. The carpets in the hallway were old and pretty well soiled. The bar and a breakfast place in the hotel lobby close before lunch time. The beach front bar was the only place open past noon and even they had a limited menu (bar food, basically). With the exception of one hard working waitress that was working on the outside beach bar, the rest of the staff were disinterested in helping us, and not friendly whatsoever. Especially when asking for directions or about certain amenities within the hotel. I have no idea why we were charged a $45 resort fee for each day we were there. There is nothing we got outside of a Motel 6.Please stay away from this place.

I'll start out by saying I've written maybe one other review in my life, mostly because I don't often feel strongly about places I visit. I've visited this area numerous times and have stayed across the street at small motels that have been wonderful- clean, friendly, great accommodations. My husband and I were looking to stay at these places we'd had luck with, but they were all booked up. I'd remembered seeing Plunge while visiting and noticed it was listed as a resort. There were always people on the beach with Plunge chairs and umbrellas, so we figured it had to be a nice place. I fully regret not looking into it more. "Resort" is more than a stretch. This was legitimately the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We arrived in our room to find it wasn't even as nice as a college dorm room. Super cheap wood, no mini fridge, no microwave, GROSS carpet. Went to the bathroom to find that it looked like a Jimmy John's bathroom. The picture on the website advertised something MUCH different. Nowhere to put your toiletries on the basic sink, no lid on the toilet, and the shower was just a curtain. It was obvious we were put in an ADA accessible room, which is fine, but the bathroom floor wasn't even pitched to drain the water so the whole bathroom was a puddle. It was late, so we went to bed and would address it in the morning. I woke to find the incredibly thin comforter was also gross. The sheets were super stiff and uncomfortable. The bed was definitely not king sized, though they insisted it was. We packed our things and went to the front desk to request a new room, as we were staying for 4 nights and couldn't do it in this room, especially when paying a resort fee for each day. The one redeeming quality of this place is the staff. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and moved us to a new room and refunded our resort fee for one night. Unfortunately, the next room was just as gross. It smelled so musty, though not as bad as the poop smell in the hallway that lingered for days. We found that this next "comforter" was just two sheets sandwiching a fleece blanket. The bathroom was up to par, but that was about it. As for amenities, they're a joke. There is chair and towel service, but they don't actually make sure you're a guest. There were tons of people who were not guests taking up chairs and attendants were handing out towels to anyone who asked. This made the beach super crowded and not enjoyable, so we only went once. The problem was the pool was even worse. Every time we came down, every single chair in the sun had belongings on them to save the seat. We would find a place in the shade, the only available chairs, and watch 2 hours go by without anyone using the saved chairs. No employees monitored the pool to make sure this didn't happen. Overall, super disappointed in the experience, especially for the cost, not to mention the joke of a resort fee. Do not waste your time or money here, book with one of the lovely motels across the street. This isn't just a Karen review, it is an effort to make sure no one else has to experience this.

I enjoyed our stay at Plunge. It was clean, had a good vibe and the staff is friendly. I would definitely stay there again next time I am in Ft Lauderdale.

Cute resort in a great location. But before I continue, I have to note that the wifi is really bad. I had work to do and it was extremely hard to work with the slow wifi. Other than that, I had no other complaints except that I think my bathroom was not one of the renovated ones. The sink was a pedestal sink with nowhere to put your bathroom items. Overall, we had a nice time. I loved the coffee shop in the lobby. We didn't get to try breakfast, but another great convenience to have. It was also so nice to have beach chairs and umbrellas available to guests. My favorite part is the location. Quick 10 minute walk to Lauderdale by the Sea downtown. Everything you need is nearby. Looks they are going to do some renovations in the hallway, which was needed, but the room was fresh and clean. I would come back.

The resort was better than expected. Check in was effortless.. Patrick was awesome. Bed & pillows extremely comfortable. Air conditioning ran perfectly. Shower was huge & worked great. Room was a decent size. Coffee shop & breakfast place was absolutely delicious & huge portions. Beach was so beautiful… beach chairs & towels with optional umbrella brought out to the beach for you. They even had several games in the lobby! We will definitely be back. Also, so many things within walking distance, bars & restaurants or shops.

Plunge is such a great beachfront hotel! It has everything you need for a relaxing getaway, with tons of restaurants within a short walk. The staff are super helpful, shoutout to Patrick for going above and beyond to make our stay perfect!

My wife and I had our wedding here. Michelle and Rebecca helped us organize it and we couldn't be more thankful for their assistance. They went above and beyond to make us feel supported leading up to the big day. I would absolutely recommend working with them to host any sort of event in the Plunge.

I must say our trip didn't start as planned. We were supposed to go on Margaritaville by the sea, but due to a birth certificate it didn't happen. I looked for an alternative and I found Plunge. Such a nice quaint beach town hotel is perfect walking distance is less than 10 minutes. I told Jared at the front desk of my experience and he was so pleasant in wanting to make my experience here memorable. So he upgraded us to the bungalows, private area kitchenette as you see in the pictures, private pool for adults only. Also you get two beach chairs with an umbrella two towels. Absolutely amazing, thanks to Jared our stay will be memorable.

Little hesitant at first when we pulled in, but then pleasantly surprised of the resource, set up the decoration, and what I have to stress the most the cleanliness. It was really clean!!!! Easy access to the beach. The only disappointing thing was there was not a bar or a restaurant inside the hotel that would be open till about nine or 10pm. It was just used for breakfast. Walking distance to Publix and CVS if needed.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful! Loved my stay, only giving four stars due to some minor details:- my wi-fi is a little iffy sometimes and I did have some work to do while here, making some calls more difficult- towels in rooms could be higher quality- no recycling bin in room- no ice machine, but bags of ice in a cooler on floor. Although they are too big for the bins provided in the room and tend to clump up- snorkeling advertised on website is 20minutes awayOtherwise it was very pleasant and I would recommend for a relaxing stay!
