The gentleman who initially helped me select our door was quite helpful. We bought it and had a contractor do the installation to save some $$. When we later found a defective part that came with the door, Taylor Door replaced it with no problem. Now the door sweep that is attached to the bottom of the door has detached from the bottom and drags when you open the door. I contacted the owner of the company several times- by phone and e-mail. No response. I went to the business and found Dave Taylor working in back. He told me the first gentleman I dealt with is no longer with the company. He was very defensive but said they would come to do the work the following week. Never came. I sent a follow-up e-mail and days later received an extremely curt response from him. Basically he stated that because we had an outside contractor do the installation, the defective sweep will not be replaced by them. He says the sweep came off because of the installation and we purchased only product from him. Hmmmm..... isn't the sweep "part" of the door, therefore part of the "product" that we bought? He ended his e-mail by saying that we will not get another free repair from him. Very rude- very poor customer service.
