I highly recommend go ing somewhere else. There were numerous issues with the vehicle we rented. The owner Kathy Hackett was extremely rude and difficult. I've ran multiple businesses over the years and I've never dealt with a more atrocious person. All of the reviews are spot on. This person has no business running this rental facility. Budget/Avis really need to reconsider this.

I should have read the reviews! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Kathy Hackett the manager clearly had a data issue in the system and were telling me I was unable to rent a car I booked in advance because I have, “multiple rentals” in my name. Completely false and clearly an error on her part. Rather than be accommodating and understanding, shebasically talked down to me with a strange sense of authority. I even called customer service for them who confirmed it was nonsense. I couldn’t even fathom a place being this horrendously bad!!Fun part about this, I order an Uber to go to enterprise, and the Uber driver local says “were you trying to rent a car there?” I say yes, he says “that place is a disaster and the manager is a nightmare”.Read the signs and reviews and stay far away so they don’t ruin your vacation or outing!!!!

I reserved a truck ...Then when I got here immediate attitude from the employee as if I had done something wrong"You're only going to get a 26 footer, also there is no where for you to park your car"This is the worst experience I have ever had

On the website, when renting a car, it shows a bonus gift card from Amazon upon returning the vehicle. I rented 5 vehicles between October 3, 2023, and October 31, 2023. I have not received any gift card. When I called Budget about this, they said I must call Amazon about my concerns. If Budget has an agreement with Amazon, and they post this on their website, they should be required to follow up on their offer. Amazon customer service told me to call Budget.

Please reconsider this location when renting through budget. I had great experiences elsewhere, but this specific location is a scam. They will charge you for “optional services” when you never opted into them. I was asked for my id and card at pickup, Kathy at the front ran it, then handed me the keys. Never asked if I wanted $223.00 worth of optional services, but they sure ran my card for it after returning the vehicle. I was able to get through finally to customer service, which they agreed to refund that amount due to Kathy never asking me if I wanted all these extra add ons. This specific lady is also extremely rude, has no sense of customer service and now on top of it sure seems to be a scam artist. If you have any issues also, you most likely will not get through to them on the phone. They give you dirty vehicles on top of everything, claiming to be “cleaned”. Please just save yourself the hassle before renting from this location.

DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET! We did a prepaid rental months ago for a Toyota Camry or comparable. When we got there, it was a dumpy little dirt lot. The guy gave us a dodge charger. We hesitated as we didn’t want a ‘gas guzzler’ but he claimed it got the same gas mileage as our Kia! My husband started it and the engine was knocking. We went back in. The guy said ‘you don’t like, I cancel. Made no effort to help us get something else. I went outside and ended up spending close to an hour in near 100°heat trying to find a replacement. Customer care/service was no help either. I was told I would have to take that car to another location and TRY to see if someone would exchange it! It was a nightmare! We ended up deciding to just drive our car, wthe road and no one from the entire Budget Company was willing to help us. After we left there was a $62.49 additional charge added to our credit card! That charge did fall off. However, I had to spend an extensive amount of phone time to get our prepaid money back. In addition it cost us: ultimately a 3 hour delay in the start of our trip; mileage on our vehicle(which we were trying to avoid to start with); an oil change because of the mileage we put on our car; finance charges on the prepaid amount on our card for the months we had it reserved; a lot of frustration and stress at the beginning of a much needed vacation! I really don’t like giving poor reviews but I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what we did! This was truly a horrible experience. And btw, the same guy was wearing an Avis uniform!

There’s a woman that works here which I pray she isn’t a manager because if she is, budget has some serious staffing issues. I’ve never been treated and rudely as I was by her. Budget needs to fire her and put someone who represents their company with some dignity and customer service

There’s a lady that work there (didnt get her name), blonde, middle aged w glasses. Rudest person I have ever had to deal with. I mean from start to finish. What a terrible person. She must be miserable in her life or something. I rent from this exact location once a month, never dealt w her before, first time sunday and now this morning. Never coming back. Budget should be ashamed of having someone like this represent their company.

If I could give a zero I would. We did a prepaid rental months ahead for a Toyota Camry or comparable. When we arrived we were give a dodge charger. NOT comparable to a Camry! Husband started it-engine was knocking. He said no way would he drive that car. Went back in. Was told, that's all I have, you don't like, I cancel. That was it-didn't try to help us at all get something from another location. I went outside, spent close to an hour in near 100° heat trying to figure it out. Customer service told me I could drive that car to another location to TRY to exchange it. Again, didn't try to help. We ended up leaving without a car. Two mins later there was a random $62.49 additional charge on our credit card! That charge did drop off. However, this cost us: time we could have been on the road already; mileage on our car(the reason we had rented); finance charges for the months the prepaid charges were on our card; the cost of an oil change because of the mileage on our car; stress and frustration when we were trying to start a much needed vacation after four years without one. THEN I had to be on the phone extensively to get my money back! DO NOT EVER RENT FROM BUDGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate having to leave negative reviews but I also would hate for someone else to go through what we did. It was a TERRIBLE experience and terrible start to vacation!

Do not rent from this place! Not the same vehicle I reserved. Asked for an SUV had gotten a small car. Trash still in it from the previous renter. Low tire pressure as soon as I got into it. Had to put air in every day I had it. Then the check oil light came on. It did not have a full tank of gas when I picked it up, but was charged a fuel charge because I returned it 3/4 full the same as I picked it up. And after speaking to corporate was told that they are not liable. Go anywhere but here!

Rented a vehicle over a month ago and they didn’t have it or anything when we went to pick it up. Called customer service and they offered us another one at another location for over double the price. They wouldn’t honor our reservation price for the EXACT same car!! Don’t ever rent from Budget!

Don't rent from Budget. I went to two different locations today (this one included) after having a CONFIRMED RESERVATION for a moving truck and then I get here and they tell me they don't even have that truck. I don't know why their system would allow you to book reservations when they don't even have a truck? Waste of a whole day and a lot of panic before a big move. Absolutely awful

After this experience with Budget I will always use UHaul and I don't care if I have to pay double. The person in the office has an attitude like she didn't want to be there and was extremely rude. She seriously acted like anything said to her just royally annoyed her. Great job lady..Oh and on top of that I get a rolling dumpster of a truck, stalled on me with complete power loss in rush hour traffic in Tampa, then died again forcing me to swerve and park along busy I4 traffic. Dirty smelly truck, wipers don't work, check engine light came on halfway thru my 700 mile trip. I will never use Budget again. Absolutely garbage company

In the digital world customer satisfaction seems to have taken a backseat to shareholder satisfaction, as indicated by corporate profits over happy customers. The vast majority of difficult situations can only be relieved to the limits of corporate algorithms. We have all been subjected to the unpleasant outcomes given by company representatives who cannot, or more accurately, don't attempt to challenge the computer screen telling them what is possible. After rating the company's business practices and procedures as below terrible, I must, in all fairness, give an exemplary rating for the person I presented my concerns to when returning the vehicle. Sal at the Clearwater airport branch took a look at all the paperwork I was given and listened to a brief explanation of my confusion. His eyebrows knotted into question marks as he tried to figure out what had happened and why. He left the counter to speak with others in the adjacent office. He very quickly rectified the charges to reflect the original agreement, returning hundreds to my accounts. It is still people who make a difference. Hooray for Sal at PIE. I'd give Sal five stars, but unless he is promoted to a management position where his positive, helpful, friendly and caring attitude will guide all subordinates he supervises, he is unfortunately, an employee of the abhorrent guidelines directed by the corporate structure of Budget/Avis.

Came to office ready to pick my truck and at least two more people came for trucks too. They did not have any truck over 12 feet but they still committed with several clients. Then they just send you to a different location that is not even close. Why they did not send a notice about not having the truck ready? They don't care you have to pay to ubers now or wasting time.
