Dr Stroup and her staff have provided excellent care for several of our dogs and our resident cat queen. This past Saturday they absolutely bent over backwards to help us out with our daughter's dog Maven who was showing signs of a bladder infection and urine flow blockage.
They squeezed us in on a very busy Saturday morning on a moments notice. Dr Stroup felt large bladder stones and confirmed with an xray. Exam completed and prescriptions written in 45 minutes! While she was also handling two other patients! Thank you so much Dr Stroup and West Bay Animal Hospital! The BEST!

I took my precious Bella in for a wellness check up on our first visit. I now have a full service Vet for her care. I was overwhelmed with the care, kindness, concern, and expertise I encountered with Dr. Stroup and her assistant Alex. They examined Bella, did a full and complete history on her, skillfully tapped her bladder for urine, drew blood for labs, gave her her immunizations, and clipped her nails (while teaching me how to do it myself). I could not be happier with the care Bella received. I know she is in excellent hands with Dr. Cindy Stroup as her Veterinarian. Thank you so much!

My pup hurt a paw while out for a walk this AM. She was crying and limping.Tried to see her regular vet but was told to come back later after a staff meeting. I found this unacceptable because she was obviously hurt. I took her to the vets office i have been passing regularly and she was seen after a brief wait. I found the office immaculateAnd the vet and her assistant to be compassionate and very helpful. My pup was thoroughly examined and a bee sting was the concluding diagnosis. Time and the prescribed benadryl have done the trick ! My pup is sleeping and i am relieved. I like the fact that this vet makes appointments so it isn’t a question of sitting and waiting for an unknown time by just showing up ! I give this practice ??

Dr. Stroup and her staff are amazing. They feel like a small town vet that truly cares about their customer pets. I had to take my dog in for some immediate care and they took so much time to stabalize him and get him on the road to recovery. Dr. Stroup followed up during the next two days to ensure my dog was doing well. Highly recommend this clinic.

This veterinary clinic is awesome. My dog was very I’ll digestive issues and the vet spent a lot of time with me and gave my dog fluids, meds and thoroughly explained everything to me. I highly recommend this clinic.

We are so glad a friend recommended Dr Stroup after our vet of many decades wasn't making much effort. We were able to get in same day for our dog and the examination was so thorough! Dr Stroup really took her him and covered everything. Then later in the week, she spent a fair amount of time answering our questions. Highly recommend Dr Stroup for your pet.

Dr Cindy was absolutely wonderful, we have just moved here and got recommendations from several neighbors who all said the same thing, Dr Stroup is the best. When I called the office person was professional and had the sound of concern in her voice which made me feel at ease. I explain my dog’s situation and they made appointment right away.Dr Cindy came outside and chatted with us and got a complete history as well as what was new since we moved here, she also explained how to care for Charlie now that we are Floridians. She advised us on her plan and took Charlie into her office for a once over. When she finished the exams she was very thorough with here findings and explained a good course of action. Needless to say we have found our new vet!

Dr Stroup has been our family vet since we moved to the area about 3 years ago. She is a professional and compassionate vet. What I appreciate most about her is her no-nonsense, tell- it- like- it- is approach balanced with kindness & soul. A few months ago, my 18.5 year old kitty was failing. Like a family physician, the Dr Stroup saw her right away. She took her vitals and then recommended euthanization. I asked if my longtime companion was suffering and without hesitation said "yes". I trusted her and knew we made the right decision together. The team at Animal Hospital of West Bay was and is so caring. She continues to be our vet for our rescue pup and two other feline family members. I highly recommend her.

Our cat had a chronic ear infection for almost a year. Three different veterinarians could not figure out what the problem was. Then we took our cat to see Dr. Stroup. She was the first vet to correctly diagnose the problem! After ordering a lab test, Dr. Stroup said there was only one medicine that would work. Voila, after about 10 days on the new medicine, the infection was gone! We were so grateful for Dr. Stroup's skill and experience to help our kittie get back to her old self. Honestly, this is the finest veterinary practice that we have ever encountered. We were at wits end trying to figure out what was wrong. Dr. Stroup knew exactly what to do. I don't know why the other three vets did not order a lab test to see exactly what the infection was. It seems so obvious now to have done that. The other vets just looked in her ears and said "Here, try this medicine. It should work." We are so pleased that we went to Animal Hospital of West Bay. The other three vet practices we tried were larger than AH of WB. Goes to show that bigger is not always better. Try Dr. Stroup and I am sure you will have a very positive experience!

Our elderly cat, Peeps is not an easy patient! The first time Dr. Cyndi Stroup saw Peeps, she could tell immediately that Peeps was nervous and afraid and took extra time to comfort and calm Peeps before examining her. And, from our experience, that defines Dr. Cyndi Stroup. She is way beyond just being a practitioner, she's a kind and gentle caregiver. She understands that pets are family too - and she nurtures the people who come in with their pets. Peeps has had other vets; Dr. Stroup makes us feel like we're her total focus, we never feel rushed. And that focus is also evident with West Bay's entire staff. Everyone there have been outstanding caregivers, to the pets and their owners. Dr. Cyndi Stroup is an outstanding Veterinarian, we highly recommend her. And, Peeps does too!
