I joined because its only $10 a month so I do not expect much. But the equipment is really terrible. They have three stairmaters and two out of three are always broken. The ellipticals are so rusted out and make popping noises, same with the treadmills. I understand the monthly fee is super cheap but I'm not sure it's even worth $10 a month. The worst part is it's supposed to be 24 hours but the app never works and I can never get in. And no one will let you in out of fear they will get charged. I had to move here because youfit closed, I really really miss youfit.

Update 12/27/23:Today I left mid workout and joined a gym that has air conditioner and fans. Fresh clean smelling air is important for health which is why i workout...health. This place has good equipment but horrible thick air quality.Poor air quality thick and often stinky. Makes it tough to breathe when going hard. Whats up with the air not being fresh? Fans might help Air filter cleaning Air handler working? Please check it out.

Overall a pretty good gym. Have plenty of machines and free weights never really an issue getting on equipment even during busy hours. I would give 5 stars if they had a sauna like many of their other locations. I do travel to the L 49th st Amp for the sauna from time to time. With the upgraded membership you can use all locations.

I have been coming here for over 2 years. I have mentioned before when a team member called me to see how I was enjoying the gym. I expressed my only complaint are that TVs at almost every machine are NOT working. That was back in April. This morning I went through (6)SiX treadmills, basically the whole back row.. all TVS out!! Come on guys. It's about to be 2024. Fix the TVs on all machines. Spend the money.

For the price and hours it'll do for now. The equipment, especially the cardio section is horrendous. Good luck finding a treadmill you feel safe running on or an elliptical machine that doesn't pop and creak. The TVs? Forget it. The place always smells like a dirty litter box too. They play good music on the weekend when it's staffed, but during the week prepare to get Rick Rolled, literally. Not sure who keeps that AM playlist going, but no one wants to lift to Madonna, like a virgin at 4am.Maybe you can skip opening yet another location and update this one. (Yes, we know it's the first and it's been open 24/7). That's a pretty poor excuse for the equipment condition. It's not that hard to swap out 5 or 10 machines here and there.

Used to be a good gym. Now its old, outdated, with broken machines that are never updated. Amped will take your yearly maintenance and update fee then open up new gyms but neglect the older ones that got them where they're at now. Side note, the gym has a strong scent of cat pee along with homeless people hanging out inside.

This is probably the best gym I have ever been to. Trainers and staff are very friendly theres a whole vibe of no judgement. I feel like I’m able to do my workouts in peace and if I ever need a spot someone’s always there to help being staff or just others working out. A seriously awesome environment. If you’re considering Amped 10/10 highly recommend.

WORST MORNINGS EVER! if you are someone who is looking at the gym because you go really early in the morning before gym staff usually gets there and the 24 hour usage seems appealing to you. Let me warn you that you will not be able to access the gym some mornings and they will not let you know when those mornings will be you just have to show up to the gym and figure it out yourself when the app doesn’t let you in. There is no staff to call there is no one to help you and the app they use itself just has feedback and no number to call. This is the second time this is happened to me at five in the morning. And none of their locations have a voicemail system so you can’t leave anyone a message letting them know that their own system is down. I have never experienced something so quite ridiculous in my life.

Friendly staff, Seem to be on top of broken machines as long as they are notified about it.(if something isnt working tell them) The Monthly assessments you get as part of the membership are good base to see how your progress is going. I'm not pressured into doing personal training and if I have questions about some of the equipment or exercise suggestions everyone has always been awesome. I'm about two months in and it being 24/7 has been extremely helpful along with the app on the phone not being hard to use at all. It's affordable for 20$ a month (50$ yearly charge). I'd recommend to anyone looking in the Largo area. :)

I came to this gym seeking personal training to get back in shape after an accident. I’ve had nothing but nightmares since. There’s a buyout fee for the personal training. I can’t afford the buyout fee of $500 and they keep taking money out of my account to add sessions to my stuff against my will forcing me to to have to neglect paying for my dogs surgery. This gym is a total scam artist ran company. 10/10 don’t recommend. I’m having to get in touch with my lawyer to try and get this resolved!!!!

Joined this gym in Largo in February 2023. When I went to check it out, the tour focused on the room where small classes are held primarily. I was not given a tour of the cardio area or the rest of the facilities. I realized upon my first visit why. The equipment at the facility is in such poor condition, with many of them not working, with visible rust buildup. I wasn’t thrilled about that, but I continued to use the gym because I also signed up for weekly personal training sessions. What really upsets me about this place is that I was involved in a major motorcycle accident in March breaking several bones in my left arm and hand and elbow and left foot and ankle to see if I could freeze my personal training sessions until I healed enough to use them again I was told no -I could either continue to pay for the sessions at over $200 per month and use them whenever I am released by the doctor or I could pay $350 to cancel them all together. Although I provided a letter to from my doctor stating that he would advise that I don’t participate in personal training at this time as I am still in occupational and physical therapy, and likely going to need additional surgery, because that letter did not state that I will never benefit from personal training again, they would not accept this as a medical release.I will definitely be canceling both my personal training, contract and membership going forward, as I feel this company has input a clause into their personal training contract that is shady in the least. While I still have a good 20 sessions that I paid for, I will never be able to get the benefit from them that was originally intended due to the injuries that have not yet healed. It could be a year or more before that occurs, so beware!
