“While the shop is a gem, the true hidden gem here is the owner, Jess. She gets to know her customers and remembers them by name. Great quality and prices. Gives back to her community. And like a phoenix, has risen from the ashes (look up her story). Her and the shop are a wonderful asset to our city.”
“Love this place! Great place to find your antiques and Succulents! I loved that they had cool plants as well! They even said they had a date night Terrium bar. Pretty cool! Definitely have to go back. They even help us get our purchase into our truck!”
“Take time to stop by and enjoy this beautiful antique shop. You'll find unique antique treasures along with wonderful items for gifts. Friendly reception too.”
“I had an amazing experience at park avenue. All the associates were kind and answered every concern I had. The suits purchased for the wedding party were top quality. 100% would buy again. Thank you.”
“Great vintage. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better place to snag a gently used first rate leather jacket, men’s or women’s. Impressive array of period, boho and funky high fashion women’s dresses. For independent minded women looking to make a rocking personal statement at an event or festival I’d very, very, highly recommend a trip to this vintage emporium!”
“This is my most favorite store in the world. Perfectly curated with gorgeous items for your home. The owner, Kelly, has impeccable taste and it makes me want to take everything in the store home and fill up my house with character and charm. What a gift you are to Lakeland and the Southeast as a whole!!”
“Best place in town to buy affordable furniture, rugs and decor for your home. Every piece of furniture in my home for over 10 years is from Robert and Amy. They have gently used consigned stuff and also new to choose from. With a layaway plan offered. They even have a pickup service for your consigned furniture. I highly recommend doing business with them. They have always been very flexible and great to work with.”
“My old soul of a 7 year old loves this place. He got us to stop here a year ago and now we stop if we have time on our way to Orlando.
I found a perfect cabinet to match my grandparents' desk that I own.
The staff is always smiling and happy to help. We always find something cool that we have to have.
If it is a rainy day and you just want to wander around and look at some neat things, stop in!”
“I drop off a lot of items weekly as we downsize my ill moms house. They are always nice. Haven't seen my favorite person there lately named Al . He is always helpful and friendly and makes the process quick . I'm in and out and it goes to a good cause and helps mom out . Everyone is nice”
“I have had the best experience at this Once Upon a Child. I sell my little one’s clothes there and each time the employees are so sweet and very helpful. I have gotten a fair price each time and I also love buying from there as well.”
“They don't like to take very much clothes. They're very picky
Their purses are overpriced you can Buy purses at tj maxx for the same price
They do have cute outfits. You can find four cheaper than you can find at other stores”
“Goodwill has gotten extremely pricey. They say their overhead has increased, I guess that means their rent, electric and water. I don’t think their employees wages have increased, nor has ours. The general public has less disposable income and higher overhead like everyone else but unlike the Goodwill, their consumer base and their retail counterparts, do not get free items to turn around and sell for profit, a charity status for taxes, and cash donations at the registers. Some of the stuff they are gouging people for is slightly less than what the regular retailers are selling it for brand new. It’s ludicrous to pay such high prices for a used item with no warranty and with no option to bring back if it doesn’t work or is defective for just about what you pay for the same item new that you can return to the store if you have a problem with it. Then they have the nerve to ask for more money when you check out. Nice store but like all the others way, way overpriced as of late. Due to their pricing, I’ll no longer be supporting the Goodwill Restore Mission.”
“Great selection of vendors, most of which had great prices. The heat was oppressive, it's mostly open air stands but they try to keep cool with lots of fans.
There were a few people just sitting around in front of shelves of items and stuff, so we couldn't really get to everything we wanted to see.”
