We've used Randolph's for well over a decade at our home, rental and mother-in-law's home. Nothing says satisfied like a long term customer. Enough said.

I had Randolph's Air Conditioning come to my home on 4/28/2023 to perform maintenance on my unit. At that time they stated I had a leak in the coil and would add 2.5lbs. of refrigerant to the unit and quoted a price of $475 to replace the coil that was under warranty. That day I was charged $316.50. Four days later they arrived to replace the coil. After they completed the work, they attempted to bill me for $1,395.00. When I asked how it could be that much when I was quoted $475 4 days earlier, they said it needed 11 lbs. of refrigerant that was not in the amount quoted. They did eventually lower it to $1,025 but it seems deceptive to quote one price and after repairs charge another. If I knew of the cost earlier, I would have gotten another quote. It seems rather odd the for three years I have no issue with refrigerant and once they service it, they need to add 2.5 lbs. and 4 days later it needs another 11 lbs.

Our AC went out overnight. I called Randolph’s first thing in the morning and they were able to get John to my house by noon. John identified the issue before he even looked at the unit. Not only did he know the issue, he suspected a short in the wiring outside. He went out and found the short immediately. He replaced the fuse and was on his way. As he was leaving, he noticed that the outside unit was making a terrible noise. He went back at it and found that the short had blown a board and out thermostat. The board was ordered and I purchased a new thermostat. The next morning, John was back with the new board, replaced it and had our AC running. Randolph’s always has professional and knowledgeable techs and John is no exception.

These guys seemed great at first, but weren't able to take the job due to limited space and a cut truss, which I understood at the time (3 other ac guys a I had quote the work did not see this truss, which is why I wanted it written on paper). Initially they were supposed to leave the report on my counter. I called on Friday and they said they would send a report Monday. I called today Tuesday and they said, "we've ready told you we're not doing the work, there's no report to give." I asked for a report because I just bought this house and the inspector did not catch it. I wanted to send it back to the inspector to ask him for another review. Taking my business and money to people who follow through on their word with better customer service.

Was having issues with my A/C shutting off and when it was on, took forever to cool. I was also having to set it super low just for it to be somewhat comfortable in my house. I've had a freon leak in the past and experienced something similar regarding the cooling during that time. Bob was the tech who came out. He refused to listen to me - sometimes not even acknowledging I said anything at all. He said it needed to be drained, did that and left. The unit shut off again within 30 minutes of him leaving. I called and was told he was already in another area with a few houses to work on and would be back out when he could. It was several hours when he arrived. He then said he thought I needed a sensor and changed that. He refused to check anything else. Did not check the freon or thermostat (I had concerns I may need a new one). He literally did the bare minimum. Part of me thinks his behavior toward me was due to me being a woman and this was alluded to in a phone conversation I had with another tech (Eric) at a later date. I spoke with the owner (Scott) at the suggestion of Eric and I think I see where Bob gets it from. Scott also talked over me, refused to listen, and clearly did not care about me as a customer (or even as a person). I decided to go with another company. The second company showed me pictures of my A/C - it was rusted and full of MOLD! The pictures they initially showed me were while the old unit was still in and I was able to take my own pictures once it was taken out. There is absolutely no way possible for Bob from Randolph's to have missed this and he did not say a word to me. I would never recommend Randolph's to anyone. Not only was the service horrible but this is a health hazard they didn't even tell me about! Another MAJOR red flag with this company - if you pay by card, it is written down on an invoice and left with the tech until they take it to the office. There is so much potential for your card number to be exposed to others. When I brought this up to Scott - he said that's the way they do it and said once the invoices are returned to the office, the card numbers are entered and the paper is shredded. How any business can justify this is insane to me. There are so many products available that would allow them to run cards at the customer's home without the risk. They got nearly $200 from me for essentially nothing as my entire unit had to be replaced by another company. He didn't even do a good job with draining it and cleaning the lines as there were still things in it that the other company removed. Absolutely disgusted by Randolph's.

Couldn't recommend them enough! Bob discovered some MAJOR issues and took the time to explain it to me. He even offered to speak with the electrician so he could relay what needed to be done, because it was a lot. They definitely look out for you and do honest, quality work! They have great promotions and pricing as well.
