My husband's wheelchairs left front wheel fell off. Called on Thursday to arrange for repair. Was scheduled for pickup at 8:30 am on Monday. It is now 12:45pm and no one has come to pickup. Called twice once at 11 to get update told 30-45 minutes. Called again at 12 to be told again after being on hold for 35 minutes told he was running late with no estimate of arrival. Very very frustrated with lack of concern for clients. They are willing to take your money but are very difficult in regards to service.

Called on Friday re: a hitch and carrier for a scooter. Was told they had one in stock of the model I wanted. However, installation would not be for 6 days because of the hitch. I said I would get the hitch done elsewhere and they could supply the carrier. I went to Todd’s Motortown in Lakeland. They provided Excellent customer service and did the hitch immediately. I called Mobility Express immediately and was told BOTH salespersons had to leave due to a. Emergency. The person I talked to was not convinced that that was true. He said he would get hold of the sales person I spoke with and get back to me. The law he called back and said he could not reach the person and to call him at 10 AM on Saturday. We spoke Saturday morning and he told me that he was never able to reach the sales people and that there was no hitch in stock. He said he would attempt to get hold of the sales person again and get back to me I never heard back. It was a low end carrier so apparently $600 means nothing to them.As of closing time on Monday I have heard nothing and I have ordered the carrier from Amazon for half the price. Mobility Xpress apparently has no concern for customers their situation or customer service never again

I purchased a van from this place and they charged me $72.000 for a Used Toyota Sienna van that has problems and all they keep telling me is reed the books. The wete my best friends until 3 days until they new I cant return it !Then they didnt want to give me my title after I paid cash for my van and they kept giving me excuses until I finally had to have the police brought in there. And told them it was a fellony to hold my title from me then I received a phone call 30 minutes later that they had my title. ( how about that)Now my van is at Toyota of Lakeland waiting to be repaired the blind spot mirror detection devices are not working and haven't been since I received it and now Toyota has to have someone from VMI come out from Phonix Arizona to figure out what the problem is. Also John Vath the owner of Mobility Works said that the transportation company that I hired to transport my van from Phoenix to Lakeland scratched the front under caradge. That was impossible that was because the transporter I hired carries million dollar car's for NASCAR also, and John blames me for the damage. So if I were any one else I would not bring a van to Mobility Works in Lakeland Florida if your van was over heating and needed water or and oil change. But he put that money in his pocket fast. $72.000

Do not under any circumstances buy a vehicle from this company. In Feb. 2019 they sold me a van with a VMI Ricon lift that arrived broken, said they would pay for the repairs and then refused to pay the local dealer that did the work. The lift was heavily used and out of warranty, not "like new" as they claimed. It broke again in June 2019 and then in Jan. 2020. I've spent over $5000 having it repaired multiple times in less than a year and now have to replace it. I want my money back!

Use these folks ONLY AS A LAST RESORT. TOO many promises made and not kept, especially to our Veterans. I will be filing a freedom of information act request as to how many and types of complaints. If this request shows what I believe it will, I will do what is BEST FOR OUR VETERANS.

I am sorry to update my review from 4 stars to 2 stars, after 3 years interacting with them. There are never the same employees here (except Tim who works on the equipment) so the level of knowledge is sporadic. Last time in, the two people on the floor did not get up from their desks seeming disinterested in conversation or sales. (so I bought my van elsewhere). They do not deal with Medicare and refer you out to Largo for this which is inconvenient to Lakeland. There are 2 buildings here, one for mobility products like scooters, wheelchairs, lift chairs; the other building for van conversions. I bought a used scooter and used power chair from them without incident (price high, learned later). Had to exchange the overheating power charger on one shortly after sale. They did a nice job of home delivery and pick up of chair for service. They use Eldorado lifts in their conversion vans which are not "top of the line". I ended up going to a Braunability dealer for a vehicle. They do not take trade-ins for your car or mobility equipment but will do consignment. I have moved all my mobility business to Mobility America for wider variety, more immediate delivery, better "fix" service and better costs.

Very unhappy with this company. Purchased a manual w/c and they tried to give me one that had "PROPERTY OF VA" on it. They got upset when I didn't want that one. Also purchased a new electric mobility scooter. Didn't even last six months--and they said there wasn't anything they could do--wanted $700 to fix it, charged $65 just to look at it. We'll be buying a new scooter--but it certainly won't be from them

I needed to find a company that could install a wheel chair lift on the back of my SUV and I had checked with several local companies to do so. I ended up choosing Mobility Express of Lakeland as a result of a fantastic, informative conversation with a person who turned out to be the owner of the company, Renee. She took my information and contacted me quickly with a detailed description of what needed to be done and the cost which I deemed VERY FAIR.

Complete rip off company. Installed a Bruno Turny seat for my double amputee grandmother. The first lie that was told was that it would only take a few hours. Ended up taking a couple days. Picked it up and told them right then and there that was not the seat we were originally shown or paid for. Was told nothing they could do because they were closing. Repeatedly contacted them to get it resolved only to be lied to, avoided and dismissed. Finally, I filed a dispute with my bank hoping it would get them to finally do what was right and fix it. I initially didn't even want my money back just for them to make it right so my grandmother could use the chair. I guess I should've known better with this scum company. They lied to VISA and told them we never contacted them about the chair so VISA gave them the money back. LIES! I have phone records showing at least 15 contact attempts from the date of install up to the date I filed the dispute. And that's just the calls to the main business number. Doesn't include the calls to the two owners on their lines and the calls to another worker. I also have validation from another company that this chair is not installed properly and that it isn't even the right chair for the van it's installed in. Now I just want my money back and they can have their chair back. Run away FAST! Do not do business with these scam artists. They are so shady one of the owners had to post a review of the business (I had to report it to Google to have it removed). What business does that to boost their ratings? Oh yea that's right - THIS ONE! I have contacted 8 on Your Side to have them investigated and I'm very much prepared to take them to court over this issue. The fact that they are in such a business where people come to them because they need help getting around or are totally disabled and then they rip them off is despicable.
