A few days ago I had my 2019 Mustang serviced in Ford dealer in Hillsborough county. My car started to act crazy after I picked it up with the check engine light and the wrench light on.. it was running in emergency-limp mode.I called Lakeland Automall spoke to Danielle who told me to bring the car in very early in the morning. It turns out .... the person who serviced my car at the other Ford dealer didn't connect all the wire after servicing my car. Problem was fixed.Kudos for the guys in the Service Department.Lakeland Automall definitely earned my business now!!!

I will preface this review by acknowledging two things up front:1) Whenever buying high ticket items, I take everything with a grain a salt. You're walking into an establishment in which their goal is to make money "off you". Elaborating, stretching the truth, etc will happen. 2) I have zero issue walking away if the price isn't right. I walk in with a price in mind, if a dealer doesn't meet it, I'm not negotiating. We are lucky to be in a position of this is something we would like but by no means need. Given that, our experience with Lakeland Automall and Jason was positive. While I don't know that he knew a ton about cars, he looked up any questions I had and answered them sufficiently. While I had been "watching" this car for about a month, it drove better than expected. The exterior and interior pictures online were pretty accurate and while didn't reveal everything, it did show the the most obvious issues. Given that it was an accurate description. The location itself was what I expect from a used car lot, better than the crowded, all cars sit in the sun lots closer to downtown. Ultimately we left with what we wanted at the price we wanted so I really can't complain. If we saw another car here of interest, I would consider going back.

Unfortunately I have to out a star to even get this out there ! I was referred here from my mom who had the best experience here 10 years ago , so I was in a nice car that I loved but needed something bigger . I found something that I liked and they sales guy did everything to get my into it . Little did I know it had just came to the lot and wasn't even cleaned nor looked at before financing it . So I month into me having it and $200 later , I went back into there and raised a storm because there was a nother issue and I didn't even have it for long . So then they screwed me into getting something that was way over my head in payments but that sales guy ( original sales guy had already been fired ) he knew I needed something that ran and I did it because I HAD to have something that ran and they weren't going to fix my issue. now I have a 2021 and a week after I got it , there was maintenance lights coming on . They've gave me the run around trying to get it fixed . MORE THEN 6 months later they are finally trying to get it fixed out of inconvenience!!! I have oils never ever go through Lakeland auto mall again , NOR would I refer anyone to them . I cannot believe they fooled me not 1 time but 2 times and they still continue to fool me , going from a comfortable $400 to $656 a MONTH !!!!! Do not go there make them your last ever resort go to different cities before coming here !

I wish I could select a zero star rating but that is not an option. I bought a 2016 Ford Edge there 10 months ago and it has been an extremely unreliable vehicle!!! Within the first 30 days of my purchase, The engine needed to be replaced which by the way they did not stand behind. Now it's nine months later and the transmission needs replaced. There are so many dealerships that care about their reputation... BEWARE and go someplace else!!!! These people do not stand behind their vehicles and they will sell you junk and they will not care! I called several times asking to have the owner call me back to discuss the engine issue and he never did. Now I'm stuck with a car loan for the next six years and a vehicle that doesn't run. Even after contacting the Better Business Bureau to report them they only wanted to offer to install an engine if I bought it. I certainly do wish that they would do something to make this right!

I was so excited for my 2021 Kia K5 GT-Line.. but after less than a month of having it my car won't start. A neighbor checked my battery and it's completely shot with only 10.3 volts . Does anyone care? Hell no. Even told me to reach out to Kia even though I did not even buy it from Kia. I bought it from Lakeland auto mall. No communication whatsoever with anyone I reach out with and it's kind of like I'm s*** out of luck and I have to come out of my pocket now for a battery for $270 and they already knew the battery was bad. This was my first ever car purchase and the worse experience ever. Don't buy from them, they're just trying to get cars off their lot.

I know new vehicle inventory is scarce these days; however, if you want to avoid an unpleasant experience, I recommend NOT to go to Lakeland Automall Hyundai/Genesis dealership. I had the most disagreeable experience while buying my new 2022 Genesis GV80 at that location. Everything seemed friendly until I met the Finance Manager, ElVIS SULFRIDGE, the most unethical, disrespectful, and lack of integrity individual I have ever met on my more than 30 years buying new cars. This person disrespectfully tried to impose the dealership financing option while I had so many other and more advantageous options myself. From that moment everything when south. Although I provided the Dealer Funding Request from my own financing institution to the dealer on 9 May 2022, the accounting department actually requested the fund on 2 June 2022 (the approved loan was about to expire). Besides that, this dealership required me to pay a 20 days payoff amount for my trade during the negotiation (not the usually 10 days); however, the accounting department paid off my trade more than 30 days later (a late fee was already added to my previous vehicle account because of the delay). This dealership's account department is by far the worst I've ever seen. From 1 to 10 I rate Lakeland Automall Hyundai/Genesis 1. Avoid this location.

Email to Owner: I am in need of assistance. I went online to get an offer for a 2007 Chevy Silverado, owned by ***** of Lakeland, FL. Mr. ***** has a POA, Ms. ******, who represented Mr. ***** in this sale. I was the driver and advisor to Ms. ******, who is close to 90 years of age. She is my neighbor. Since Ms. ***** has no computer, I went online to several sources and received several quotes. Of these quotes I received 2 from different dealerships that utilize KBB for resale and purchase offers. I chose Lakeland Auto Mall. I made an appointment for May 5th and we were to meet with Duane Temple. When we arrived I asked for Duane, Jason Virgil went to speak with Duane and then said that he would be handling the transaction on behalf of Mr. Temple. We had our online offer of $9761 and once the vehicle was evaluated by your used car trade-in advisor, a price of $7691 was presented to Ms. ***** which she accepted after discussing her options with me. We presented Mr. Virgil with a Florida paper title with no liens. We also provided Mr. Virgil with a DMV-HSMV 82053, POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, MOBILE HOME OR VESSEL signed by ***** authorizing Ms. *****to convey the title on Mr. ****** behalf. Mr. Virgil had Ms. ***** sign the Florida Title as Seller (which odometer disclosure statement had not yet been completed) and numerous other pieces of paper to include ANOTHER blank HSMV 82053. I asked Mr. Virgil if he could fill in the odometer statement. He said he could not and "that the admin department upstairs would do that." I asked Mr. Virgil if Ms. ***** could please have copies of every document that Ms. ***** signed copied and delivered to Ms. ***** when he brought her the check. Mr. Virgil stated that it would be 2-3 days before Mr. ***** would receive a check. I asked why the wait and Mr. Virgil stated that the paperwork had to be filled in and verified by the administrative department along with the signed documents, Title and completed forms. He also said the remittance would be mailed to *******. I asked if the mailing would be overnighted and was assured that it would be. Ms. ***** was concerned that she was leaving without a check and without copies of what she had signed. I assured her, in Mr. Virgil's presence, that Lakeland Auto Mall would not be in business as long as they have been if they were not compliant and expeditious in the completion, review and processing of the Florida Title Transfer and Sale paperwork through the DMV. I asked Mr. Virgil to remove the auto tag that was currently on the vehicle and also asked him how long we would be on premises as we had to arrange for a ride home. He assured me that we could go as soon as the tag was turned in to Ms. *****. Despite his many assurances and promises, none came to fruition! On Wednesday, May 11th, Ms. ***** called me and stated that she had NOT received anything from Lakeland Auto Mall. I told her that if she didn't receive anything by the following day to let me know and I would call and inquire. Later that day Mr. Virgil called my cell and stated that the administrative department needed a copy of Ms. ****** COMPLETE POA to be brought to the dealership to complete the processing. I asked him why he was calling me well after the promised date with this news and he stated that the check was ready to be cut the previous day. However, he was told to contact me and explain that further information was necessary. I told Mr. Virgil that he should have known what was REQUIRED by his "administrative department" as we had provided a HSMV 82053 signed by ****** when we handed him the title. He apologized but said that it was necessary as the "administrative department" stated they needed it because they couldn't be sure that Mr. ***** signed the HSMV 82053? I told him we went to the DMV the day prior and had the form signed with the clerk at the DMV and that we had her "complete POA' with us on the 5th and that he should have known that the signed HSMV 82053 would not be sufficient. He again apolog

Today I saw a used 2019 SUV advertised on their website for $20,989, plus tax, tag, title and dealer fee. I liked the vehicle and wanted to purchase it. The total out the door price should have been around $23,800 including tax, tag, license fee and $998.00 dealer fee. I was ok with that even thought I hate paying these ridiculous "dealer fees." I had to ask the salesman to show me the buyer's order he wanted us to agree to and sign and the bottom line total was listed as a little over $28,000. The actual costs where not properly broken out or explained on the paper he showed me. I was shocked at the $4,200 increase over what I had agreed to pay! I was told it was the addition of "Reconditioning costs," and additional undisclosed dealer fees and taxes. Can you say RIP OFF? Stay away from this unprofessional dealership.

update Monday April 4. called the place to ask about my part. I was immediately placed on hold before I could ask anything.I have been on hold for over 9 minutes. Keep in mind, I had to contact them for all of the following information. When they parts guy came on, he told me it would be over 100 dollars MORE shipping cost (from lakeland to jacksonville). I had already paid the cost of the part PLUS what they already had listed in the charge for shipping for a total of 110 dollars. They are a bunch of scam artists and I do not want you to just take this story as evidence, look at ALL of the other stories people have submitted as evidence. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

If I could give a negative review I would. This place is about money and not customer service. They would rather fleece someone than help someone and create a lifetime customer. My review will mean nothing, they are a big company and I work in marketing and know the tactics they use to stack up tons of positive reviews while suffocating the negative reviews. I bought a Ford Transit in 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. I messed up and I own that mistake because I took Duane and Carlo at their word because I am old school and thought it meant something. Unfortunately that is not the case here, their word means nothing and they are only concerned with meeting the bottom line. The original price was more than what we agreed on, but I am an idiot and signed it while not looking at the contract. Carlo (no longer works there) then sold me warranties which I may as well have taken cash and flushed down the toilet. After getting 3 or 4 oil changes paid for (that's worth 5 grand) and something actually goes wrong the warranty does not cover it due to mileage...lol. This was never told to us. I am still paying on these worthless warranties that Carlo fooled me on. I was so screwed due to believing these guys I have to laugh and pat them on the back for a job well done. They got me good, but they won't get me again. To top things off they wanted to charge me over $2,000 for a repair that I thought was under warranty. This is after I paid for towing that was covered but did not know because I again believed them rather than doing research myself. Joyce Automotive did the job for half of the price. If you have repairs GO TO JOYCE! This place is a joke and its unfortunate. So many people are going to be deceived by them. I will do my best to deter innocent folks from them with my story. I probably can't stop millions of dollars, but hopefully I can stop $20,000 from a hard working person. That is all I want. This place is not honest. I know you don't expect much from Auto sales, but everything about them is dishonest. I blamed myself for 2 years because I made a bad deal, they got me. However, when their warranties that I am still paying for are not honored...what's the point. It is clear they just want to make money. Greg B. probably won't reply to mine.

Do not finance a car through Hyundai. My account was overpaid by 400.66. They have came up with every reason not to pay it, and after 16 days I am still waiting for them to take action. They keep referencing problems with their process. The end result, so far they are keeping my 400.66. Stay clear of Hyundai they are crooks.

We had a great experience with Nick Young. We had been researching several SUV's on line and the Honda they had was exactly what i wanted at a great price. After reading some bad reviews i thought it would help others if they knew the following. My husband sold cars fir a few years so we had an inside to how dealerships work. We are familiar with "dealer fee's" or "lot fee's so no surprise there and had already calculated that into the price. We are also familiar with reconditioning fees so was prepared to see what they would charge for things that should be done b4 they sell the vehicle. The reconditioning fee was too high for what they had done but i would have bought the car and had to put new breaks and stuff on it so we negotiated the deal and bought the vehicle. I do not agree with reconditioning fees as when cars are traded in repair cost is figured in on the deal. I think dealerships should advertise the price they are actually charging for the vehicle. This practice should be outlawed but it is what it is and just be aware b4 you go to look at ANY dealership. Had we not been reading fine print and knew what we were walking in on i would have walked out but luckily we got a likeable salesman (Nick) the vehicle was as they described and even with the fees it was a good deal. Everyone we encountered there was pleasant and i would buy there again. I hope sharing this info will help you be happy with buying at any dealership but truly it was a pleasure doing business with them and i love my new to me vehicle!

Don't let google reviews fool you into thinking this is a great dealership because trust me it is not. They are scammers and if you are not smart about car shopping, they will scam you into paying a whole lot more than what the car is worth. My wife and I set up an appt yesterday to see an SUV that was in our price range. The online price was 13,000 and this was a fair market price for the car. However, when we went to crunch numbers, they quickly try to slide extra fees into the price. They will try to charge a reconditioning fee, this fee is illegal to charge. It is a fee where they are trying to charge for parts they replaced. This shouldn't be on the customer, it is on the dealership. They try to say that the car's out the door price was 19,800. The car was defiantly not worth that much due to the frame being bent and it being in a front-end collision. I can't stress this enough, don't just look at their cars; check the frames. This wasn't half of our struggles with them. They don't negotiate with you and they try to say the reconditioning fee brings value upon the car. LOL.... I do know that nothing you do to a car will bring the value up. That car we looked at was worth maybe 10k at the most due to the airbags deploying but they really don't care about the customer's opinions, only your wallets. These people are liars and huge scammers. Don't ever give this place your money.

Horrible experience. Terrible customer service and unfair business practices. Fist right when we got there, two of their employees got into a rage argument at plain site . Terrible first impression. Apparently me and another customer where there to see the same car with similar appointment times. I arrived first and requested to see the car first and test drove it first. The vehicle Fit all my needs and I decided to make the purchase. Duane Temple denied me the sale. He said he needed to offer the car to the others. His reasoning was inconsistent. He stated that it was a first come first serve business and they do not hold cars for people. Yet he did exactly that. I left after I had asked him one final time If he was going to sell me the vehicle. . He lost my business. Only to find out the other people did not purchase it either. Unprofessional. Horrible experience.
