changed my lifters, cheaper than anywhere else. Brought my truck back because it wouldn't start and they fixed it within a couple of hours. now I'm back on the road. Thank you for helping me fix my truck.

I went in the end of January they told me I did not have a leak... fill my car up with freon.. cost me $120... 3 weeks later my AC was out of freon.. I return and he stated he has to check again for a leak ... He claims he couldn't find it last time but if it wasn't no leak this time he was going to charge me another $120 to refill with Freon ... I decided to go elsewhere because if you claim you couldn't find it the first time then how are you going to find it 3wks later?... I don't trust mechanics that take from hard working people with the economy the way it is...

They sold me a motorcycle that broke down less than 10 minutes after I left. They claimed it was a good condition and garage kept but really it was a complete rip off

Drove it in to replace PCV valve. They said my valve cover was cracked and needed to be replaced and couldn't be driven because oil was leaking. It had to sit over the weekend, so had to change my plans. All I know is it wasn't leaking when I drove it in.

I was a loyal customer for 4 or 5 years as my friend introduced me to Alturo and I trusted him and brought both of my cars up from Fort Myers to Alturo to work on. I I raved about him to friends and family who questioned why I would drive up to Lakeland for a mechanic.I always said I trusted him and I thought he was a "friend, my mechanic. . Well he knew I was looking for a vehicle to buy and take back to Indiana where I live.He told me all about a Chevy Tahoe that came in and the owner couldn't afford to pay him so he ended up agreeing to take it and fix it and sell it. He told me all about what he did to it.I spent 4500.00(like a fool) and realized before I had it two days that There were issues with the dashboard being demolished. It looked like a puzzle it was so broken up. I had not driven it prior to paying for it.When I came back to him, he admitted he knew I had not seen it (I couldn't reach high enough to see it). He wasn't willing to do anything and so we bought a dash cover to cover the broken dashboard.I shipped the vehicle and drove it from Indiana to Philadelphia for a weeks stay.While driving it with my two sons in the car, the brakes gave out. Thank god my husband was not going fast. When it was towed to Meinike they informed us that smaller, & cheaper after market rotors had been installed and that was the cause of the brake failure. At the same time,we learned the emergency brake was intentionally removed which is unsafe and illegal. They were so bothered at Meinike they agreed to put it all in writing. We also learned there was a problem with the heater and instead of doing the repair at a cost of 1.000.00 he simply cut the heater hose and coiled the excess in the engine compartment. We put out 1500.00 for brakes, & the correct rotors We drove back to Indiana and once there the truck overheated. We towed it to our honest mechanic and he told us it was the head gasket and the truck was done.We sold it for parts for 200.00 after putting 4500.00,1500.00 a new battery, (he had installed a tractor battery instead of the correct battery according to a battery specialist from AAA.It's very upsetting to me personally, that I trusted him like a fool. I am still very upset he is in business and able to lie, sell vehicles under false pretenses and use incorrect parts that cause safety issues. My family is very lucky none of us were hurt because of his fraudulent sales and business practices. This situation taught me, many lessons, so disappointed I thought I had found a reliable and honest mechanic. Not the case!!!

Brought my car in for an alignment. Owner talked me into replacing the front struts and rear hubs instead for almost $2k. Alignment was then worse than when I brought it in. Another time I brought it in to have a leak in the sunroof looked at. After ensuring me he had found the leak, I found water was still coming through.

Took into shop with 3 warning lights. Got it back with 5.$250.00 over agreed price. Replaced engine mount and car wouldn't start after. In an amazing stroke of luck, the groung wire by the mount broke, miraculously on its own, and the O2 sensor also decided to go bad as well while at the shop. My driver side mirror is also damaged and falling off which will cost me another $600.Charged almost $250 to fix the ground wire that broke itself while they changed the mount right next to it.Grease destroyed the interior. Manager/owner did clean front floor mats but exterior and interior had grease throughout. Owners manual removed from glove box and just laying on the floor alongside the other paperwork.Never, ever will I darken the doors of this place.You can be as nice as can be but you need to take responsibility and hold those that do such sloppy work accountable.

The owner and staff was very welcoming. I went in not knowing if I was going to get my car fix the same day because it was a slightly major problem but they came through within hours for me. I was very excited and I definitely would be back and recommend other people to go there.
