Rude staff and manager, I got her name but forgot it (older lady)I attempted to purchase a tobacco product I'm 55 clearly obvious over 21 I was asked for DL and I understand they are doing their job as instructed... However upon producing my DL I was told they had to SCAN it...Now I know...many people (my Wife included) think no big deal just let them scan it, I value my privacy and do not want my info on some metadata harvesting cloud somewhere, and yes I realize all of our private data is constantly collected and sold, shared or stolen, but I try to attempt to limit it as much as I can. Well, apparently the law of having to show ID for age specific products is not enough for Circle K and they demand to scan or NO SALE, There are plenty of places that just verify DOB so I'll just go elsewhere. They were very clear they did not care, and I am under no illusion that my business or lack of it will make a difference... but enough like minded people standing up can make a difference.

I want to clarify that this review is only about 2 people in this store. The male and female that worked the afternoon shift on Teusday 03/26/2024. My husband and I have NEVER been so humiliated by anyone much less an associate of any company. I was purchasing cigarettes and didn't have my wallet with my I.D so I asked my husband to come in. At that time a woman came out and said no, he can't buy them because he was contributing. Now, mind you, we are both almost 70. She clearly had a grudge against me for a prior complaint over no coffee creamer the week prior. We watched in parking lot numerous people who went in and bought cigarettes and lottery tickets who were not carded. This was an exceptional case of discrimination. If any of you are like us, we appreciate Circle K stores and frequent them daily. (We buy cigarettes every other day there). Well, we used to. After we were told to leave, I guess the woman was unable to control her profanity any longer, the male boy came around the counter in a threating stance. Again, we are almost 70 years old. I'm hoping that someone in management will take responsibility and watch the video cameras on that day and see how customers are treated when employees have grudges. If you go in this store, make sure to go at night when these two employees aren't there. The store address is Circle K at 1705 Bartow road, Lakeland Florida 33801.

Horrible customer service. Lazy employees talking to vendors and not tending to customers. Absolutely worst Circle K I have been too. Go somewhere else!!

Two "smart" self check outs, two registers. Three, maybe four employees behind the counter. People are lined up at the self check outs and an employee is stationed at each one helping them with a third assisting the employees. Problem is, the self check outs are slow. There would be NO line if they would just check customers out like you're supposed to. Or at least the third employee can take the overflow and knock that line out quickly. The idiocracy is real folks, buckle up...

First time I was in there they were super nice but out of pizza (I had a coupon) told me to come back and I was out of town for a few weeks. Came back. Coupon was expired but manager was rude and wouldn’t take it even after I explained my situation. You guys were out the first time I came. It wouldn’t have hurt to have good customer service and go ahead and taken the coupon.
