I was told that I would get $200 back after returning my car since I only had it a week and a half. Instead they charged me almost $1000 & haven’t been able to explain why. They are extremely rude, don’t use this company

Bad service, we went to look for a transit that we had rented months ago and they called us at the last minute that they did not have it. We had a trip planned with the whole family and they wanted us to leave in separate vehicles. In the end we took a smaller bus but it was not what had been rented. I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENTING HERE, better go somewhere else.

Very condescending and impatient attitude from the staff. I had an issue with this company because I reserved for a larger vehicle and the company decided to provide a much smaller one. Unfortunately Vaughn decided to be the opposite of helpful by trying to rush us into canceling . There was no apologies or attempt to assist , in addition to no accountability. At the end , we opted for one vehicle without his help, but a great deal of attitude . There is no use to reserve a type of vehicle if the company can't keep a deal with a paying customer .

The staff here is absolutely amazing! They are always working so hard and still remain friendly and personable. The check in and check out process is quick and efficient! The cars have been clean & I haven't had any issues. I'm glad I gave them a try!

I’m writing to brag about the location in Lakeland budget rental car has the most wonderful staff there so knowledgeable they’re so friendly they always go the extra mile. I love renting here by rent a lot of cars and this location is one of the best. I love all of the employees there they’re all wonderful. The owner of this place is so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful staff working for them and always working with integrity and going the extra mile for the customer. I love this please I love this place and the staff I love them all.♥️♥️♥️♥️

Horrible customer service gave us a car that had a tire with a slow leak. Had to put the donut on the car. Asked to exchange the car was told we had to drive to the nearest airport over an hour away. Because no other budget in the area had replacement. Explained my wife was pregnant and I didn't want her driving on the donut in the rain was told there was nothing they could do. Poor excuse for a company. Their only solution was we can refund your money. When you return the car to the AIRPORT. smh

1. Cost with all their add ons was not what was quoted.2. Deposit was 200, which was not told before hand3. Our car had damages on the outside.4. It was not tithe car we requested5. Return center had dead bugs on floor, the office was dirty throughout

If I could give no stars I would, arrived early for our pick up time. The associate claimed his computers were down and tried to run our card TWICE (almost a $400 car rental), then decided to send us over to Avis across the street because her system was working. She couldn’t help us, so she sent us BACK to budget. When we got back his system was up (what a coincidence) tried to run our card AGAIN and said “oh um it says it’s declining” I looked at our bank account and realized he had successfully charged us twice for a car rental that we never completed. He told us to call this automated line to see if they can reverse the charges, and they can’t do that without canceling our reservation…SO long story short we are NEVER renting from budget again horrible customer service

I did a prepaid reservation. Upon arrival they did not have the vehicle available. They said they could refund the money in 7 to 10 days. I would never recommend someone using a company that takes payment for a vehicle that the do not have in there inventory. It's a SCAM!!!

45 minutes before we were picking up the car. They call and say they do not have any cars. !!!!!!!!!? NOW WHAT? We have to rent a car 2x a month Cars are not very clean especially on the inside. Our latest car had been heavily sprayed with cherry deodorizer there was white dog hair in the back seat, the floor was wet on the passenger side and the console still had sticky drink in the bottom. Shame on you budget.

My husband and I pulled in here by accident while trying to return a rental car at the Avis location across the street. The manager, or owner, a portly white man in his 50s or 60s immediately came up and pounded on my window and told me I have to leave in a very short and bossy tone. I explained to him that we were dropping off a rental car (this was before we figured out that this budget location was not a budget/Avis). He was barking at me throughout our entire 3 to 5 sentence conversation. I am a woman of color. As soon as my white husband pulled in behind me in the rental car, his tone and demeanor changed completely.This person may or may not be competent at running this location, but his interpersonal skills, and his judgment shows signs of inequality.

Very poor telephonic customer service. To be clear this was NOT the people working in Lakeland. I was forwarded to some call center. I had some questions about the documentation I needed to bring in advance so I called the customer service line. Whoever answered did not have the necessary knowledge to assist me. I could hear him clicking buttons and researching my basic, simple questions. It turns out the information he gave me was incomplete/incorrect. So I called back in hopes of speaking with someone else. In the middle of speaking with the second person he abruptly transfers me with no explanation. By the time I speak with the third person, I decided to politely request a call back from the supervisor... which I never got. Needless to say, I am very concerned about how our upcoming trip is going to go if this is how Budget does business. Disappointing, frustrated and now uneasy about doing business with them

We were called 5 minutes before our pick up time to be told they did not have a car for us. The agent said the car that we were supposed to rent had extended their rental time about 20 minutes earlier. It would have been nice to have been called as soon as they were aware

Absolutely terrible. 5 hours to collect the hired vehicles despite extensive phone calls in advance to confirm all details. The agent at TPA was terrible, manager also hopeless and avoided helping. Added extras without discussion. 1 allocated vehicle not in bay, replacement smaller and still dirty from last hire.After the collection the telephone support was not helpful, emails answered with platitudes but not help.Frankly a disastrous experience. It’ll take a lot to convince me to use them again.
