BEST BBQ in 100 miles and ALL of Polk County, no doubt. Big Dog Outpost BBQ Thursday-Sunday. Worth the drive there.

Go down the road and stay at guy Harvey. For $130 a night this place sucks since the new owners took over. Very dirty and very nasty.

Great place. Almost everything under one roof and that includes great food...kitchen is very clean and well maintained. New improvements going on everyday to make your experience even better....With no other stores in the area, This store is just what this town needs.....Keep up the great work...oh, lots of nice ice cold beer...lol

We stayed there for a month and the staff was great and went out of their way to help. The cabins were clean. I only wish that they had internet in the cabin.

I am super disappointed. I stayed here 2 years ago and it was wonderful, clean, stocked with what is needed, and for only $75 a night. So naturally I rented again for my daughters fishing tournament and found out it was under new management and it has gone down hill. Not only did they raise there price to $90 a night they did not update anything other than the outside. The cabin I stayed in with my husband and daughter was dirty, had only one roll of toilet paper that was half used, no extra bed sheets, and when I asked for some the girl said she had to wait for the owner which we never got a call from. When I finally talked to him he said didn’t seem to care much but said he has had it for a year and there will be some upgrades. Don’t charge more if you are not offering more is what I say

BEST ZINGERS AROUND!! My boyfriend and I were staying with family near by and stopped into the store for some boat snacks. Not only did they have my favorite hostess snack ZINGERS, but they have a great variety of craft beer, wine and other snacks. Their pre made sandwiches tasted just as fresh as if you got them in the deli. The owners Steve and Leila (sp?) are just as nice and welcoming as can be. They also own the cabins across from the store which are always clean and cozy and they just opened a little bar right behind the store. You can't go wrong by paying them a visit!

I was camped out at Lake Kissimmee State Park and I realize that the prices are inflated some 200%, BUT LET'S GET REAL WHEN YOU YOU EXPECT TO GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH. I bought a box of Hostess Zingers for $5.95. I ate one and it was so hard it was crunchy. Probably was outdated for months. I didn't see an expiration date. If I camp there again, I won't give them my patronage. I'll drive down a few miles to the new Dollar Store on Highway 60. I tried their number but guess what it has been changed or disconnected.

It's seems Country Stores have to wear many hats, this store is half way between civilization and no where, if I'd have to guess I'd say this place is about ten or twelve miles from a Publix or a Walmart, business that are used to gauge remoteness in this part of the world. This place reminds me of an oasis and it seems everyone needs something and the owners are making every effort to accommodate them all. The first thing that came to mind when I pulled in here was diversification and after speaking with the young women who was running the register they continues to evolve, after all if you still have room to grow and there are still other services that you can offer expand, expand, expand. Currently the offerings include; beer and ice, some wines and mixers, grocery staples, premium gas and AV fuel (airboats rule here), bait and tackle, marine supplies including lube, oil, lights, wiring, seat cushions, hitches and tires, hardware, pipe fittings, pvc, nuts and bolts, a deli, tobacco, charcoal, propane and air. Coming soon: a bar and grill with an emphasis on bar I think she actually said "pub", a new bait shop - I'd bet they take request so if it's possible that they don't have something and you're a regular I'm sure it's just a matter of time. It goes without saying but I have to mention, the staff is super friendly and if you can't find it they can help you put you hands on it. If there's one thing that may sting a little is the prices, this is somewhat justified being it's such a remote location so I'm sure there's an up charge on deliveries along with no competition - I like these kind of places and the roadside sign is so cool too...

A few weeks ago I came in to get 2, 20lb propane tanks filled. Apparently the lady at the counter wasn't amused by this. But she did come out to fill the tanks.... sorta. Says my tanks were barely empty but proceeded to top them off for me. As she's filling second one she says, unfortunately I have to charge you full price for filling them both. So $40 for minimal propane, less then 3lbs per tank. Told me, we tell our customers to never go by the gauge, they're always wrong. Well, she was wrong. BOTH tanks have run out of propane now. A full tank before lasted about 6 months. Certainly not 3 weeks. I tested for leaks to be sure it wasn't on my end. No leaks! Between the attitude and getting ripped off, I can assure you I will go outta my way to not give them my money. I was trying to do right by shopping small businesses during the pandemic. But I got a 20lb tank filled at tractor supply for $10 and pleasant people. That's where I will continue to go.

I love this neighborhood! And thank goodness for a cute friendly little store with cold energy drinks among other things you may possibly need. They even said they would stock my cigarettes. Since I moved out here it will be so convenient and a good excuse to get out for some fresh air and a lovely scenic walk!❤️

Called to see if they had any minnows in which a older lady answered. Then when I asked how much a pound of minnows was; she said I was buying a lot. then she hanged up on me without saying anything.
