“I would just like to share an experience with local and "snowbird" pet owners. My fur babies and I have supported another veterinary hospital for about 15 years, through many changes because we were very loyal to our favorite Vet, Jennifer Waltman. After the clinic was sold to a corporation, our favorite left, as did many other team members who had served us. We found that they raised prices, reduced services and wanted to refer to "specialty" vets due to limited coverage in their practice. We found and followed Dr. Waltman from location to location and she recently turned up at "Paws and Perches." The clinic is clean and cozy, more hands on than high-tech, but most important, it felt like "home." The team is very caring and responsive and the resident veterinarian, Ashley Lab, is thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. They are open 7 days a week and move their emergency patients to the top of the list. Two weeks ago, we had to make a tough decision with our Sissy and the entire staff showed support before and after she passed. Last week, our other 14 year old pup suffered a stroke and we were back again to Dr. Lab. We were worked in on Saturday morning and we have started a course of treatment that is working better that we could have hoped for! If you are looking for a local veterinarian, I would strongly endorse Dr. Lab and the entire team at Paws and Perches in Lake Wales.”

“Absolutely the best people!!! I brought my senior dog in who was very over stimulated… and I rarely taker her out in the heat during the time of the clinic, 1-2:30 my poor girl is 15 years old. I suffer from anxiety attacks and when she ?while waiting in line I was so embarrassed ? The staff was very very kind!!! The woman checking me in was so so kind!!! The process was quick and painless and very affordable. Once I paid my dog threw up ???????????? I mean how much more embarrassing can it get!!? It was not a reaction to anything She is fine now just old hot and over stimulated like me she doesn’t like leaving home much!! Anyways she’s sleeping like a baby now… I want to say thank you to the staff for being so good with animals and kind to humans because me and my dog had anxiety and they treated us like gold!!!! ????????”

“Dr Yoder has taken care of my American Bulldog for years. I came home one night & despite being on the back porch with plenty of water, food & shade, my best friend of 8 years had heat stroke. Dr Yoder was out of the office, after hours & she actually directed me what to do over the phone & was able to save my dogs life. Didn't charge me bc it was extremely traumatic & brief but thank you & your staff. I will always be so grateful for going above & beyond.”
