WARNING - I am going to tell you my experience with Howard's Pool World and you can make your own judgement if this is a company that you choose to do business with. I have owned my home in Port Charlotte since January 2022 and the prior owner used Howard's so we continued to have them service our pool weekly. In addition to paying them their monthly fee and purchasing a new heater from them (which had to be replaced after 1 month and repaired after 1 year), we did every recommended maintenance on the pool, including replacing the pool pump and replacing the salt cell. All of these issues on a pool that was built in just 2019. And then a couple days ago, my pool turned green, I think the storm was just a coincidence, but Howard's insisted that storm surge had gotten into the pool. This absolutely did NOT happen, our home sits 11 feet above sea level and we did not get that much storm surge here in Port Charlotte. Also, we were home during the storm and know that the surge did not come anywhere near our pool. Also, the storm surge that we did get on our lawn left lots of debris. There was no debris past certain points and absolutely none in our pool. After getting tired of arguing with them, I finally just asked them what needed to be done to fix my green pool and they told me that the pool would need to be drained and cleaned and quoted me $1,000 to do so. I promptly told them to cancel my service and drove to the pool store where I was able to purchase products to correct the issue for under $100. And in just a few hours the green is gone from our pool. Unfortunate that they would try to scam a good customer out of $1,000 when all it needed was some shock and chlorine.

Our pool needed a loooooot of help, and Howard's Pool World restored it to health promptly, professionally, and significantly more affordably than expected! Other companies may have not notified or refunded us for unnecessary services, but they did. Extra stars for honest work ethic!

Just cancelled my service with them, after so many issues like leaving my baby gate open more then once, mind you I have 3 small children , also a pool tech was having a melt down one day and was cursing very loudly about us, reoccurring short staff , and stealing my pool brush and net is the final straw , tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but they just did an overall bad performance with cleaning my pool , still received my final bill which I’m not complaining just wish my pool equipment was returned if I’m going to be charged ,bad business in general.

First service was performed while l was not home. Left footprints on a freshly painted pool deck. Not off to a good start. Spoke with the technician who assured me it would not happen again, only time will tell.

Does not train well, uses there employees and when it best for them they’ll let you go and act like the enemy, Howard’s does not care about there quality of work just the amount of work they’ll make them money, Horrible Company, would never hiring them!

We hired Howard Pools near the end of last summer. From September 1st on we were unable to swim in our pool because of the high chlorine reading of 9 PPM or more. We asked them to to keep it around 5 PPM. Sometimes to high to register on my test kit. There were times we couldn't open our sliders to the cage because the chlorine smell was too strong. And then we started a process where a supervisor would come, take all the chlorine out of the pool, and the techs would come the next week and bring it back up to 9 or higher. So since being stupid is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, we left Howard Pools.

We recently had a pool installed and have Howard's Pool World as our pool company. We absolutely love them and the price is fair. A couple months after our pool was installed, our Hayward system malfunctioned and we had to wait MONTHS for the part to be manufactured. Our equipment then lost connectivity to automation system. After several months of phone calls to Hayward and the wrong service people coming out, we went back to Howard's and the next day someone came out our equipment now works perfectly. I would 10/10 recommend!

We had good service for 8 years, then all hell broke loose. We needed a new pump so we had it installed in Sept. 2022. It went out in May 2023 and was replaced (still under warranty). It went out again in Nov. 2023. This time we were told it was no longer under warranty because it reverted to the first pump. We took the motor somewhere else, had it repaired and it went out again in a couple weeks. At this point, we knew there had to be another problem so we asked a tech to come out and check it. His answer was that we just need another pump. When we called to discuss the matter, the person we spoke to was extremely rude and didn't offer a solution. We hired another pool company who fixed the problem. A seal had not been replaced which affected the water flow and caused the pumps to burn out. We should probably go back on Howard's, but frankly, we were just happy to get rid of them and especially their rude office lady.

After being a loyal pool service customer for approximately 5 years, buying 2 pool pumps, and a heat pump pool heater, this company decided to take the word of one of their service technicians and accuse us, their customer, of lying. We don’t live in our Englewood home full time. We are there only on weekends. Three different times their technician put the hose in the pool to add water and left without turning it off. We ended up with huge water bills.Howard’s Pool World said that either we left the water running or one of our neighbors must have put the hose in the pool and turned the water on. We didn’t have a smart water meter that would have helped us prove the usage occurred on the dates that their technician was on the premises. What happened to “the customer is always right “?????
