There has got to be a better way to handle sample drop-off than to force the customer to make an appointment for some distant date in the future, or to wait 2 hours as a walk-in simply to hand an employee a vial. I visited a Quest office yesterday, left with instructions, then today wanted to come back to drop off my vial, but appointments were booked out for the next week. You must make a full appointment just for a 30 second interaction to hand them a vial. Thankfully I kept refreshing the site and managed to catch a 2:10pm appointment.
My appointment was for 2:10pm, I got there at 2:05pm, but had to wait until 2:45pm before getting called into the back so I could hand an employee the vial, verbally verify my address, and then leave.
Additionally, Quest seems to operate much like doctors' offices where they book patients as tightly together as possible so that as the day goes on, all appointments run further and further behind. It was this way yesterday at the Winter Springs office, and the same here today. It took 35 minutes past my appointment time before they could see me - at which point I was called into the back for the 30 seconds it took me to hand them my vial. And while I was waiting I ironically had to listen to the TV say on repeat over and over that "The best way to visit Quest is with an appointment! An appointment means there will be little to no wait time once you arrive at Quest."

Waited over 20 minutes for an appointment that I scheduled! Besides that the lady who took my blood was great and very kind and caring. Just the wait time is kinda ridiculous especially if you have things to do or was very sick like I was.

I would definitely NOT recommend this location. I was a walk-in, well aware of the fact that I'd probably be waiting a bit as appointments are first, as they should be. What I didn't know was that I would be waiting over 3 HOURS and not one person on the wait list would be called. They did, however, call the same name multiple times (different techs) who was not in the waiting room. Instead of calling someone else, perhaps someone on the waiting list, they just closed the door not to return for a long while after. The staff was rude oftentimes calling a name incoherently and immediately closing the door not giving time for anyone, especially the elderly, to even stand up to acknowledge they were there. One gentleman with limited English was seated next to me. After waiting for over an hour, WITH AN APPOINTMENT, he asked the attendant why his name no longer appeared on the screen and was told probably because they were coming to get him next. This poor gentleman sat there for another 40 minutes with nobody coming to get him. He spoke with 2 more attendants getting brushed off before they finally took him back. The man had an appointment!!! They probably didn't say his name correctly, as was the case with most of the customers, and took him off the list as a no show. I can understand if they were short staffed, I can understand me waiting without an appointments but what is UNACCEPTABLE is the staff's attitude. If I didn't know better one would think, and many on the wait list felt the same way, the staff CHOSE not to pull anyone from the wait list. Seriously not 1 waitlist person in 3 hours! There were times there were only a few appointments listed, plenty of time to help others. I tried several time to schedule an appointment via the app with no success until I actually decided to leave. I was seen at the 434 location, staff was pleasant and I was in and out within minutes. I wish I would've just left sooner.

So evidently you need to make a appointment just to pick up specimen jar. Funny thing is that you also have to make a appointment to drop it off and that could be in 5 days depending on location. I was told by a person that worked there previously that you click on HELP drop down menu appears click on pick up specimen jar. After waiting almost 15 minutes (1) person in the waiting room and was told by the bleach haired KEN that it would be about 2 hour wait didn't deserve the attitude very unprofessional Then he proceeded to tell me they no longer honor that option to pick up specimen jars The kiosk computer even gave a a number .I suggest doing your research before making a appointment . They accept walk-ins but ever time someone that walks in that has a appointment you get pushed behind them .They beat out my company that I'm insured by or I definitely would have went to LABCORP dropping the MIC.........

No one at front desk. Had to wait. Then did not have order for procedure and had to go home and get it.

I strongly discourage you from coming to this location in Lake Mary . Absolutely disgusted with the way they treat their patients and the lack of urge to treat them . Pathetic it’s like your forcing them to be here to work .. go anywhere but here trust me !

I walked in early in the am, since there were no appointments for weeks. When I was called in under 30-minutes... I was amazed. I apologized to the tech for not being able to book an online appointment, which I usually do, and she was truly a great representative for Quest! She was kind, understanding, and made my visit so easy, I thought I owed her something else. 100% - I would recommend the West Lake Mary Blvd Quest to everyone. Clean, ample seating, bright, with even brighter staff. So I should wright what I said when I was there... Thank you, this was far better than I would have anticipate, Thank you. They will be my only Go-To lab moving forward.

She was very efficient and cared about my safety and treatment. She was the best ever for this blood draw. No pain on insertion, and had all the tubes/paper work staged thru the process. GREAT Job!
