Not a positive atmosphere. You got a time where it's just these hot headed guys yelling and slamming the weights. It's ridiculous. It's also the smallest cramped gym I've eve seen. Very congested and aukward. There's zero area to do floor exercises of stretch out unless you want to be in a dangerous spot like in the walkway or behind a squat rack. Very outdated rusty equipment. Too many dumbbell stations and there's not even a variety of machines. The treadmills are faulty. The place is dusty and dirty. I don't see anyone hired to whipe down the machines. There's no shower. The staff is paranoid about sneaking in guests. My friend and I got harassed after going in one night despite scanning at the door to ask if she's a member. After hours it's quiet no music or A/C and you get all these teens going in. In the morning and early afternoon there's children inside on the machines. Even a dog was in there. Absolutely not worth the 30 a month and I only went twice and hated it. I'd rather work out at home. It's also typical lake city rough around the edges types. Not friendly members. Oh and they've got all these photos of bodybuilders in there but the equipment selection leaves much to be desired. There's just no room in the place. There's also a long wall right in the middle that makes no sense. It seems like all of the first responders and police department like to work out here though. The place doesn't seem sanitary. There's an outside area which is neat, but it's all caged. Too hot in the summer.

Really nice gym! I loved it at it original location and I love it now. The staff is always super cool, greetings and fist bumps. This is how gyms should be . If you haven't yet please come check it out!

This is definably the meat head of the meat head gyms. The owner is nice and personable. Goes around to talk to people. The gym is very tiny and crammed for my taste. Almost claustrophobic in some areas.I have to squeeze by machines and people. It does this loop around a long wall that's kind of aukward. I can't even get to the treadmills except for one opening. Which some are faulty to quick start, but there is a good selection of cardio machines. There's no open floor area to stretch or do floor exercises. No shower either or a decent size locker room..it's a bathroom with lockers on one side.Depending on when you go you'll get mostly sweaty guys in there slamming weights and grunting. You can smell the testosterone in the air. When I first walked in a bunch of dudes stared at me like caged animals. This was around 5pm.There's different vibes if you go in the morning or evening. After hours there's no staff or music. It's quiet and honestly I only like going if there's staff there. The machines seem clean, but lack a few I'm used to from gold's gym, world gym, and powerhouse gym. Honestly I am not sure why it's called. "fitness" and not gym. Or lake city gym. Some of the members seem hostile with a chip on the shoulder. If you're not used to that then you'll need to ignore them. Otherwise people are usually polite in there and serious about training, and it's not only men in there all the time which is nice. This is definitely a place to go train and not fool around. It's old school metal weights. Not the kind with holes in the plates, or rubber outsides. It's got a lot of machines, it's just a bit crammed. There is motivating art and portraits of bodybuilders everywhere.I'd give it a 5 if it was bigger, had showers, and an open floor area.Prices are reasonable and it's a good location.I like that there's no contracts or enrolment fees or cancelation fees.Just a suggestion I'd considering moving or getting rid of some of the exact same machines lined up, and dumbbells to make a floor area. There's 3 locations with rows of dumbbells, and 3 of the same chest machine in a row. I'd downsize to make a good floor zone to do mats, stretching, fitness balls, jump rope ect. Also install showers.

I've been to every gym in town, as well as several nice gyms around the state. Future Fitness is hands down the best gym I've ever been to. Strong, positive atmosphere, with equipment and people of all stages and styles of lifting and exercise.

They have all the machines you need unless you have some very specific wants. I went in for a back workout last visit and it was a very enjoyable judgement free zone.

Nice friendly crowd, and a place where you can actually push yourself without the staff telling you that you are not allowed to be loud. There are a wide variety of equipment you can use, and also a cornhole game you can play(oddly enough)! They also have a section in the back up stairs for boxing/MMAThey have a wide variety of trainers available from strength trainers, to boxing coaches, to MMA personal trainers. Just ask at the front desk for a list of their serviceses. They are open from 0500-2100, so the hours are great for people that have work as well. This place is definitely worth a try, and they will work with you to accomidate your schedule without breaking your wallet. This is the best gym environment you will find in lake city.

Traveling through and was happy to not have too suffer through a PF . Well equipped for the PowerBuilding that I'm running now. And the price was awesome. I wish weekend hours were longer but I can't complain, I got my training in.

if you live in a 50 mile radius of this gym and your NOT making the commute here, your f@!king up........ THIS GYM IS AWESOME! In the front it has that new school "everything you need" type feel but then you go through the doors to the back room and it's a hardcore old school dungeon type vibe like a place where Dorian Yates would train (do your research if you don't know who The Shadow is). Everytime I'm in town I will be getting a lift in here.
