This was a wonderful experience, I’ve wanted a pearl for a long time and I was so pleased.. until they drilled into it without asking and started showing me all this expensive jewelry that I had no plans on getting. (photo shows the 60 dollar pendant metal piece attached to the pearl..)
My plan for putting this pearl into a beautiful pearl cage was ruined all because they drilled a big hole into the side of the pearl.
Now that I knew i couldn’t do the cage anymore I decided to look at their cheapest pendant, the saleswoman said it was only 50 dollars but then later charged me for 60 dollars. The cheapest rings were 270 and the most expensive one was over 1,000 dollars. Even after you say no they will continue to talk circles around to trying to get you to spend a stupid amount of money on these jewelry pieces that you can get for the quarter of the price on amazon and set yourself. (I looked this up) The actual necklace they will try to get you to buy is about 100 dollars but on amazon it is only 15-25 dollars..
The experience is great, but tell them immediately that you just want the pearl or they will screw you over, and continue to remind them, stick to your guns, you’ll have to to get what you want, this is a serious Bait and switch.

This was a fun experience at first (JUST opening the oyster and getting a pearl) but the whole thing is a big bait-and-switch.
You will get a guaranteed pearl from an oyster for $18, but if that’s all you are there for then you’d better tell them immediately. Otherwise, they’ll start drilling into the pearl to prepare it for their extremely expensive jewelry without asking.
Once it’s drilled into, they will show you some of their rings or necklace pendants in Gold, Rose Gold, or White Gold. They are very pretty but the cheapest ring was $270 and the cheapest pendant was $60. Notice that I am not using the word necklace CHAIN, because that’s an extra cost that is at least $100.
TL;DR: if you just want a pearl, this is a fun experience but make sure you tell them that in advance, otherwise they will drill into it and try to sell you extravagant jewelry for it

We purchased 3 pearls total and put 2 into setting. I did this a few years earlier in Epcot and got really pretty setting. This time at Disney springs they didn’t have many setting to choose from and they were real hesitate to even pull out different setting to look at. I like the pearls we got but would have liked a better setting

My very first time here and it was one of the best experience. Tiffany did absolutely amazing job, and answered any questions I had with an amazing attitude ?

Very disappointed .. they want to give you the experience of “opening” your own oyster for your pearl for $18. Of course! Then she started drilling the hole in my pearl and adding a pendant to it and started packing it away and gave me the price of $93.. I was shocked as to why it was that much for just receiving the pearl! She said the chain was sold separately and that the cheapest chain was gonna be $150.. and it was very dainty as well. My friend was telling me how they were over charging for the quality at the moment and the employee became defensive really quick about it. I still unfortunately walked away with just the pearl. Just recently went to a jewelry store and they said on the spot the pearl is not real and I was definitely ripped off. What was supposed to be $18 turned to $93 real fast for just putting a pendant on it .. AND with no chain. Ruined my Disney experience tbh. Buyer’s remorse for sure

They must be paid on commission. My daughter had enough to do the experience and not buy any jewelry. The lady almost seemed like she didn’t want to help us once we said we will just get the pearl. She made up lies and said the pearl will dry out and crumble. It will still be exposed whether mounted or not. Will not come back here. Go to Epcot they are way friendlier and a much more positive experience .

Visited today and enjoyed the Oyster experience. Pressure to buy jewellery which I ended up doing for my daughter. Bought a pendant - when we got back I realised it was just the small mount to attach to a chain - no chain! Felt disappointed as for $99 and the lady saying ‘she can wear it tomorrow’ it came across as a full necklace. Really disappointed.

Such a fun and unique experience! My daughter picked a gorgeous blue pearl that she had set into a ring. It was very interesting to learn about how the pearls are formed and the selection of settings is great. Thank you!

This was a lot of fun! My daughter picked a beautiful white pearl with pink swirls. The girls are so sweet and helpful! I will say the jewelry was a bit too expensive for us so we will probably purchase something elsewhere for her to wear her pearl!
