DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS!they will take your money, but not have a vehicle for you. It took hours for them to find me a vehicle, even though I had confirmed two days prior to arriving. The vehicle they initially gave me was damaged and unsafe for my children to ride in! After numerous calls with supervisors, I was told that they “guarantee our rate, not a vehicle”.They said once I return my vehicle, I would get a full refund. Lo and behold, nothing! I’ve been trying to talk to someone about it and it’s been over a week and they have not returned my calls!The only helpful employee was person name Luz at this location. She tried and ended up finding a van that was not broken at a different rental car company.Avoid AVIS!!UPDATE: After more than two weeks of being told a supervisor would call me within 2 to 3 business days, a wonderful person called me back last night. She was more than sympathetic and refunded me the total amount as was promised to me.Overall, AVIS customer support was horrible. There are a few shining gems to help customers but it takes forever to find one.

You would have to be completely desperate to even consider this place, I would rather walk from Orlando to LA then rent from Avis and this location plus the Orlando airport location. We asked for insurance and only ended up with liability, yet the woman said we were all covered. Then we damaged the car due to electrical problem, and left high and dry. Manager said he forgave the cost of rental and said not to worry about the repair to the door, 4 months later i am now billed with collections threatening. Avis said not their problem but they will gift me 2 free days for the hassle. LMAO.WOW

My girlfriend booked a standard suv (rav 4 as an example on avis website). When we came to pick up the car, ... avis gave us a buick encore... so a small suv... without any compensation. And noting else available on site.... so we have to put some baggages on the back seat and the trunk. Car not confortable for a size like me (6p1). And we have 10 hours to do in 3 days..Inacceptable and never again avis!

The car we were given was clearly to get it out of the renting locations inventory since we were returning it to a different location. The parking sensor system is malfunctioning, one of the wiper blades is broken, the windshield washer fluid is empty, it has high miles (for a rental), and the entire ceiling has a giant stain like a soda exploded on it. Didn't notice a lot of this until we were down at our location over 3 hours away, tried to go to a local branch and was told to go to the closest airport (1.5 hour round trip), which isn't really an acceptable option with an infant in tow. We tried calling customer service and was told the same thing. When I listed the issues the representative transferred me to the automated roadside assistance line, which after following the automated prompts, brought me back to the same automated customer service message I started with, which felt like it would be a constant circle of no help so we gave up on getting this resolved and settled for having a terrible experience with Avis that likely will dissuade us from using Avis again in the future. This is the worst rental car I have ever had and there appears to be no remedy that doesn't involve me having to substantially alter my plans to make it work.

Best customer service at any Orlando Avis location. I needed to swap my rental car after picking up an absolute lemon from the airport. This was no trouble at all even during a busy check out time for the hotel. He was able to swap for a much better vehicle no questions asked or no change to the rental. He was so cool calm and collected yet professional and able to help quickly.Avis should be proud of this location and the staff here they are a credit to Avis.

The car interior was grossly dirty. Stains on the seats and dirt in the cup holders and different areas like that. Also, the car only had one 12 volt charger and it was broken! So I couldn’t use my gps as I couldn’t plug it in. I ended up having to spend an extra $50 to have a phone plan so I could figure out where I was going.

First I want to start off by saying I've rented from Avis at the Hilton many times. I always interact with Luz who is such a hard worker. I rented a car on my most recent trip and it happened to be her day off and a new gentleman helped me check in. He too was friendly but I noticed that what my rental agreement states and my final charge are two different amounts.

Charged me for a late fee and I returned it two hours early. Also returned it with more than a half tank and they wrote I returned it with less gas and didn’t give me any money for gas back. Also marked the mileage way higher than what I used it for work. Luckily I take pictures of mileage and gas for my job so my company clearly understood that the Avis was in the wrong and I will rent else where because this was a headache for only 2 days and less than 100 miles traveling for a work convention

Melanie Rodriguez has the worst customer service etiquette. I had a bad personal encounter as she did not give me a walk around of the vehicle she refused to hear me out on anything I said. I put in a dispute to Avis about this and have never experienced this before with renting with Avis but it’s enough to not have me rent with them again.

Rented a car and it came with a leaky tire! Then went and exchanged the car for a new one and the new one had 70 psi in two of the tires!!! That is so unsafe and so annoying that they were so careless in what cars they hand out.

Provided me with an empty tank and had the audacity to charge me $90 for returning their vehicle with MORE fuel than when received. Had to resolve this issue with Avis HQ by showing them receipts, mileage, and fuel gauge photos.

We left Disney for part of the week at the beach and renting here was perfect. So smooth and easy. Luz at Avis at Downtown Disney Hilton was helpful and kind. After a frustrating experience at another hotel location where the staff left before closing even though we had reserved a vehicle, it was a breath of fresh air to have an easy experience. We got set with just what we needed in no time. I would definitely recommend going with this location.
