I’m sorry to leave this review, but I had wish I read them before staying here myself. The rooms simply are not clean (dirt and stains everywhere) and smelled very horrible. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels and this one is not good. Staff are very friendly and nice but otherwise I would recommend staying 30 min away at the springhill suites in Ocala which is same price and 500x nicer.

1. We’re in a 2 bedroom suite. It’s so gross. Smells like a truck stop bathroom. Hair on the bathroom floor. Rusted drains in the shower. Chairs are FILTHY. can’t get over how bad it smells & how dirty the bathroom is. The floors in bathroom and kitchen are STICKY.

There was dog piss in the middle of the living room area floor. The first floor smelled of dog urine.
My TV would not work, which is fine. I was up for work.
I was told ALL rooms in this building are pet friendly. I have asthma and allergies, and am a nurse. I need to be able to get a clean comfortable stay, and be able to breathe. I don't think it is too much to ask to designate some rooms as PET FREE. Unless this hotel changes this policy and has PET FREE rooms for people with Asthma and Allergies, I will not be coming back. This is a nice area to visit. I am a traveling nurse.

Solid place to stay. The included breakfast has plenty of options. Always scrambled eggs and pork sausage. A quiche option changes daily. DIY waffles ,cold cereal, bagels, English muffins.
Kitchenette was good enough to cook seared Ahi.
Rooms: Average sized, yet has oven,stove, refrigerator,freezer, microwave, AND dishwasher! Would like to have more accessible outlets near the bed.

Horrible. Expensive Super 8 Motel Experience. The staff if either ignorant or unwilling to help. The is no cellphone reception inside hotel for some weird reason.
The rooms are cheap, outdated and straight up dirty. Carpets are dirty and stained. Bed sheets and linen had red stain (blood?) And another had big grey stain (moldy?).
Just save sometime and money and don't come here.
Rooms: Carpets are dirty and with stains. Crappy A/C. Bathrrom was ok I guess. The worst was the bed.one of the sheets had a red stain (blood?) And a bed linen had a big grey nasty mold stain or something like that.
Safety: Super dirty. I think one of the bed linens had a big grey mold stain.

Great value, friendly staff, good breakfast!
Rooms: Nice suite with refrigerator, microwave, utensils, glasses, etc…

Definitely in need of a few upgrades like mattresses and a larger breakfast area. This is my 2nd time staying here in a year, and this place had been packed out with seniors 70 plus visiting the Villages for retirement homes. Go some place else for breakfast because they will not get out of your way, and they are in no hurry!! They need younger staff to work the breakfast area to help them along. They had a senior lady employee helping to take a milk lid off, which she couldn't figure out either, and God forbid you try to help. Got chastised for being nice. But they're making a killing, so I guess that's what it is about.

Location is great but the layout of the rooms is horrible the TV is tucked behind a wall and literally impossible to watch. After a long day I was hoping to relax and watch some TV and the front desk said they are aware but it is how all the rooms are currently and there was no other option. Very disappointing.
Updating review because of excellent customer service from Greg at the front desk when I had internet troubles. Great staff :)
Walkability: Close to many things , very walkable

Overpriced for the location. Pool is run down for one thing. Tiles in pool are filthy. One of the ladders are broken. Hot tub is okay. Breakfast is okay. Rooms are okay. Location to Spanish springs square is close. Stayed twice. Doubt I'll stay here again.

Roaches!!! The bed was a mess. Mattress pad was way too small for our king size bed as well as the sheets. They didn’t even cover the mattress When we pulled back the cover we found a live roach. There was coke spilled on the carpet and the floor. Borrowed a mop from front desk and mopped it myself. Hair in the tub and on the toilet. Dirty dishes in cabinet. Spoke to mgmt and response” we are only a 3 star hotel, what do you expect? We shook out sheets and did not sleep. Got a bite on my leg in the night Next morning we woke up to roaches crawling on walls. Asked for compensation for horrible conditions and were told no. Food for breakfast was mislabeled. It said “pork bacon” but it was clearly turkey bacon. Several ppl complained so they took label down. Staff has no customer service training. Would never stay there again. Spoke to other customers with same experience. I reported the hotel to the state health dept. I sent them pictures. The owner only cares about dollars. We moved to a different Marriott which was the way a Marriott should be. Amazing beds, food, and service!!! Good luck if you choose to stay at this hotel. I should have read the reviews before I booked

Absolutely sub standard hotel. Not renovated. Terrible furniture, no ambiance. Breakfast awful. Nice friendly wait staff in the breakfast room. Leaving early. Reminds one of a nursing home.

When we arrived and entered through the kitchen area we found the tile floor so sticky we could not walk on it. The contiguous carpet had stains looking like a soft drink spill. When we pulled down the sheets we noticed lines on the sheets, pulled the sheet up and found there was a double size mattress pad on our king size mattress. Then when we pulled the sheet back a ROACH was crawling in the sheets. We brought these problems to the manager on duty he said there was nothing he could do about it!

Dump! They'll pull breakfast before 9am.
Rooms: Rooms not clean. Hair & dust on bathroom floor from previous occupants.
Food & drinks: Food at Coutyard is much better. Not up to a Mariott's standards that I'm used.
Noteworthy details: Staff at front desk were good. They were quite helpful.
