Walgreens charged me $300 for a generic, 3 month supply of a medicine I have to take daily. I have no insurance at the moment. I just took a relative’s advice and filled it through Amazon Pharmacy and it was $23 for the same RX, with no insurance still.

I’ve been coming to this walgreens for 20 years and I always loved it, but over the past 2 years customer service from employees has been dropping the ball, with the exception to a few smiling faces. But Tonight was a very saddening experience. My mom had surgery this morning (7am) and my dad went to send her prescription (9am), and they said to be back by 11am to get it but they were really backed up. So he came back at 1pm to give them more time just in case, and they told him he needs to come back later bc they still didn’t have it and that they would call him. Well we have their number saved because we’ve been here 20yrs, and no one called, so we went running close to closing time bc we got busy with my mom and picking up my brother from school, and work, and the traffic from school, and this was 10 min before closing (7:50pm), we understand it was late but we never received a call and my mom needed those medications for the pain from the surgery. My dad forgot his ID and we’ve been seeing this Pharmacists since they were still cashiers for years but they were being very rude to him (I was on the phone with him and running over with my ID) and he asked if they can wait, and they continued to say that they were closing and there is no possible way they can’t wait for me to get there (we live 45 seconds away, i know bc I counted, and was on the phone with him while he was talking to them) and my dad was begging and pleading for my mom, but these 4 women were refusing to wait and be patient despite us telling our story with how we’ve been expecting this medication since 11am and they couldn’t wait 45 seconds for me to get there. They were turning the lights off on him, closing the doors, and telling him to leave, and it wasn’t officially close time yet, thankfully I got there, but even while I was walking up and my dad pointed at me they were still trying to close the door on us, and the lady who was giving him the most problems threw her hands up and walked away when she saw my ID slam against the window. We understand how closing times work, but as a family of realtors we also understand customer service bc home is very important for human beings as a whole, and so is medicine. I know many days they close earlier than closing time, but if someone is asking you to wait to close at closing time for medicine you should wait and maybe not do so with attitude. It was more of a hurtful experience than anything. I will still be coming to this walgreens bc of how close it is. But i hope customer service goes back to how it used to be.

Worse experience ever last night and today. I had to wait since 9:15am to 9:50am because they could t figure out a coupon card discount for the medication. I left to CVS and was approved in 5 minutes. So now I will be transferring all my meds to them. Train your employees better.!

I just had a bad experience with this pharmacy. It seems that my Dr needs to be contactto refill my medicine, they always do that at this store. The new lady(black Puerto Rican or Doninican)refused to do that and when I asked to speak with other person she just hang up on me. She is always in a bad mood. I was surprise because people the used to be nice all the time. I met her and while i was getting my medicine they refilled a medicine I do not need it yet, she got mad just for fix that. If this lady do not behavz a lot customers will walk away. She needs some mental medication for sure.

WORSE customer service lazy pharmacy techs
