We just spent a few days in key west and I love this hotel. Starting with the breakfast, it's a lovely continental breakfast with fresh crossiants and juice. Our room is small (twin queen beds) but very comfortable! The air conditioning is great here and we kept the room a chilly 68. The pool is beautiful, well maintained and clean. The beds are nice and cozy with plenty of pillows . It was nice and quiet, never heard any neighbors. I definitely recommend! It is close to Duval street, and my husband walked to the corner bodega and go delicious mojitos. There is a cvs across the street and a golf cart rental place right outside the hotel. All in all it was a great location!

We received absolutely 5-star service from the Truman, and I'm happy giving them a 5-star rating despite some problems. The AC stopped working within 10 minutes of us being there, on a sweltering afternoon in the middle of June. We called the front desk, and they immediately started working on the problem. An in-house maintenance worker was there within minutes, and began troubleshooting. He thought he had it resolved, but it continued to get hotter. We were offered a different room, but we didn't want to move because our room had a balcony that was relevant to our needs. The manager said that they would continue working on the problem, and retain that extra room unsold, in case they couldn't resolve the air conditioner issue that day. They did resolve it, and the air conditioner worked perfectly for the remainder of our stay, but they did in fact retain that extra room unsold, and we were advised that it would be available to us at any time in the evening, if necessary. Everything else about our stay was great. We chose not to pay $20 per night to park, and got lucky with street parking. Also, the bathroom was a little small. Beyond that, the hotel is great, and the location is great, within walking distance from many excellent restaurants and landmarks around town.
Walkability: Highly walkable

Lovely room but noisy on ground floor facing road. Welcome receptionist was not friendly but the guy when we left was. Breakfast is limited but adequate enough. Pool very nice and not too busy. Found a parking space on arrival too.

This was our first time to stay here. We had an awesome experience at this quaint hotel. It’s close to Duval so everything is within walking distance. The staff was very accommodating!

The best hotel of our road trip. All rooms overlook the swimming pool and have a small private exterior. The breakfast was very good and the staff very efficient and pleasant. The swimming pool is very nice with lots of deckchairs and bath towels available. In short, I recommend this superb hotel, very pleasant and well located in Key West.
Rooms: Spacious and well equipped
Nearby activities: On Duval Street, everything is nearby, we left the car in the parking lot and did everything on foot.
Safety: Carefree
Food & drinks: Unlimited lemonade at the swimming pool, bottles of water put in your room every day. And very complete breakfast.

Great hotel with good proximity to everything you need.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Small but nice pool area. The nearest beach can be reached by car in max. 8 minutes.
However, the parking situation is unsatisfactory. An additional $20 per night for parking. Rooms are very noisy, at night no attention is paid to the fact that other hotel guests might want to sleep. Despite the reception being manned 24 hours a day, the employee did not ensure that there was peace and quiet at the pool after 11 p.m. A few guests there thought they were going to start a private party.
Otherwise a good location for 2-3 nights.

Very badly. They have illegally charged me for a room that was cancelable until August 2024.
It took me 2 months to get the money back. In addition, they have returned me less than what corresponds to the change in timing.
Scammers!

What a gem! Totally renovated boutique hotel with tons of character and charm. Walking distance to everything, which is super convenient. We parked our vehicle when we arrived and walked everywhere for the next three days. We rented bungalow 402 and loved it. Felt so private and spacious. Evening cocktails served poolside from 5-6pm and a wonderful breakfast buffet also served poolside from 7-10 am.
Bit of a downer that we had to pay for parking - $20 per day. Hotel prices weren’t cheap so the extra parking cost was a bit disappointing. Not a game changer though
Also the internet in our bungalow was almost non existent. Up and down constantly. Maintenance was scheduled to look at just as we were leaving. Again not a game changer.
Other than those two things, we loved The Truman Hotel. We would highly recommend staying here and if we’re ever in Key West again, we would stay here.
Nearby activities: Bike riding, sunset cruises, Ernest Hemingway House, Truman House, lots of restaurants, tons of shops, walking tours, Ghost Tour, Hop on and off tours
Walkability: Truman Hotel is so close to everything you want to see and do in Key west, from sunset watching, to shopping, dining, sunset cruises, museums, sightseeing
Noteworthy details: Clean and well appointed boutique hotel. Nice pool and lots of sun loungers. Quiet at night which was a bonus

Chic rooms, good location. Unfortunately we had a room that faced the street, which is pretty loud early in the morning. The breakfast is ok, but for the price I would have expected more, especially no disposable tableware.
