Buyer beware!!! The local sales tax is 7.5%. This store is charging the sales tax on the original purchase price which means if you buy an item that is on sale, you will be charged tax on the original price and not the sale price. This is illegal if the discount is one generated by the store and not the manufacturer as it was in our case. We purchased a Tommy Bahama shirt that was 50% off the retail price but when rung up, the employee charged us tax on the original price. We, as Floridians, pointed out that what they were doing is shady and they returned the monetary difference in the tax but we feel sorry for people that don’t know better such as tourists coming in from other countries that wouldn’t know and would get charged the extra money that I wouldn’t be surprised ends up in the pockets of the store owner. As a business owner in Florida, I know about charging sales tax to customers and having to pay it to the state in turn. What they are doing is unethical at best, illegal at worst.

I recently visited island boutique in Key West and I found one employed there to be extremely professional and helpful I believe her name was Diana and she has dyed red hair simply amazing service and attitude the others in the store were far less professional and were downright rude the owners of the store audit be made aware of this fact. A friend of mine shop there earlier and found out that they were overcharged once they got back home on vacation they looked at the receipts and the clothing was cheaper than what they were charged in the store and they said they did business with a non-English-speaking employee there so buyer beware just deal with Diana she is honest! ?Dave BeaneMaine

An amazing store with amazing product lines. And even more impressive is the lady wi t h the red dyed hair who I presume to be the manager. She was very professional, informative, and especially helpful during my visit. However, much of her time seemed to be focused on other employees who did not project a professional image and strangely enough didn't speak English. Therefore the manager was faced with doing the jobs of everyone. As a customer I found this to be an inconvenience in trying to navigate a the store. So , I along with other customers had to gravitat to her( I think her name was Diana) while other employees simply stood around. Having owned and operated my own businesses I found this to be inappropriate for customers and especially stressful for Diana. Perhaps a n improvement opportunity lies in the selection of employees, as well as oversight and training. Ms Diana is the best asset you have in the store- she needs help by selecting qualified workers.

I purchased a short sundress at the cost of $138 and when I got back to my cabin on the ship my receipt says I paid $154. I have tried calling the phone number listed and the one phone number does not work. The other phone number just keeps ringing. I tried to email address and it says suspended, I cannot get a hold of this place to get the refund of the overcharge.sharonb813/hotmail

I need to say beware buying items at this store from anyone but the red haired girl , I think her name is Diana , ( she is absolutely beautiful & professional ) !! All the other employees speak no English and charge more for items than priced ..... I didn't notice till I got home . DaveMaine

I dragged my husband into this particular store to buy a particular $158 shirt. He asked to throw a small piece of trash away & was told no. Seriously? I'm about to spend money here, but you don't have a garbage can? Then act like you don't understand English? I will NEVER ask you to take my hard earned money EVER again. I promise.

If i can give them zero stars i would. Very rude staff, specially the lady in the pink hair. Also super expensive. Don't shop there. Go anywhere else in key west, friendly staff and better service.

Typical tourist trap in the keys... They sell what everyone else sells. Tony Bahama clothing is beautiful and well crafted but in these stores they're still expensive. Interesting selection of clothing.

Buyer beware! This store charges an additional fee of 3.75% for using a credit card and they don't tell you upfront. They tell you the sign is "missing" that states this. No other stores in lovely Key west charge an additional fee for using a credit card.
