No stars, customers service is awful, I will never use Thrifty Car rental again! They are of no help if you have any problem with the car. You get a phone center that isn't useful at all.

Don't use Thrifty! We have a reservation for a vehicle booked in Grand Cayman 12/25-12/31 and the just canceled it out of nowhere. "Out of vehicles, sorry." Confirmation number: K3372220255 with a vehicle reserved weeks ago and now we no longer have a car. Super uncool, customer service 0% helpful. Will never use this company again, highly advise going with another car rental service.

The worst company ever, almost ruin my vacation and all my reservations. I rented my car with a 2 months reservation, by the time I get to the airport to pick up my car, they told me they did not have any car available, and all what they offer to me was wait till the next day hoping somebody return a car I could use. They didn even car about the extra night of vacation I was about to loss, my recervation and my time for other activities. Afther a 15 minuts of discution they toldme they will give me the money back and I was not any more a customer. Dont ruin your vacation trying this company. For few extra money there are more companies with better reputation and better cuatomer services

Terrible company to rent from. The company appears to go under the names Thrifty or Dollar. Rented from Miami international airport. The company is completely disorganized with chaotic checkout - whatever the savings it is not worth doing business with this rental car company.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I had a reservation for a car last night. My flight was very late, and I was aware the rental counter might close before my flight arrived. I thus contacted Thrifty via social media to request assistance. I paid for WI-FI on the plane so that I could stay in touch. Thrifty’s social staff assured a staff member would stay to give me my car since I’d put my flight information on the reservation. They asked for updates in our progress throughout the flight. When I arrived, the counter was closed and no personnel could be found with my car. I thus had to rent from a competitor because I needed to get in the road immediately from the flight. I paid $200 more than Thrifty quoted. I told the social media staff what happened, and they agreed that the airport Thrifty location had violated corporate policy. However, nothing has been done to make me whole. Until a financial settlement has been reached, I will continue to speak out about your shoddy treatment of me and my family.

I'd give less stars if I could. Thrifty left us stranded on the side of the highway for 3 hours after our rental got a flat tire. They had said it would take an hour for a tow truck (that was 15 min away) and a new car waiting. Well after waiting 3 hours, the rental place was closed, so we were left without a car. They have no customer service and keep transferring us back and forth between disbatch and customer service. No one knows how to get anything done.

Terrible. Never ever ever renting from this company again!!!! Don’t say I did not warn you!!!! I made reservations 3 months ago. Waiting on a 2 hour line and they yell that they have no cars and it will take about 2-3 hrs to get a car or we can just return tomorrow!!!!!!!! This is insane. An Uber right now to my location is $145 and I would need to Uber back in the morning?!?!?! Never ever again!!!! What’s funny is that before they yelled it out they had 5 police officers come around. This means they probably do it often and they know people get angry. A lady said one of the officers told her this happens often.

I received a wonderful car and great help from the desk employees when I changed my reservation. However when I dropped off my car I inadvertently left my toll transponder attached to the windshield. I dropped it off late one night and by the time I realized early the next morning when I had done, the car had already been rented out and my transponder was still in it along with an insulated cup. I'm not quite sure why they rented it out without clearing it properly. I had to deactivate my transponder, which had been used by the current renter at 7:30 that morning, 100 miles away. I realize it was my fault for leaving it, but surely they could have cleared the car before renting it again. Now I'm forced to buy another transponder and hassle with

Prepaid reservation was not honored. I was told I would be put on a wait list for a car I reserved and paid for a week earlier. I missed an important meeting that might have cost me alot of money. The manager was zero help. I wish I could give a negative score. Thrifty rental co. should be put out of business.
