We recently had the pleasure of staying at Mansion on the Sea for our wedding weekend, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The property itself is absolutely stunning—perched right on the water with breathtaking ocean views that make you feel like you’re in paradise. The mansion is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Every corner of the place feels elegant yet cozy, making it easy to relax and enjoy.
What truly made the stay special, though, was the exceptional hospitality provided by our host, Nina. From the moment we arrived, Nina went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her warm, friendly demeanor and attention to detail were unmatched. She was always available to answer any questions, offer recommendations for local activities, and ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect.
The rooms were spacious, immaculate, and filled with thoughtful touches, from plush bedding to high-end amenities. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying breakfast on the terrace with those incredible views was a highlight of the trip.
I cannot recommend Mansion on the Sea and Nina highly enough. If you’re looking for a luxurious and peaceful getaway by the ocean with top-notch service, this is the place to be! Thank you, Nina, for making our stay so memorable—we can’t wait to return!

Tucked into the corner of the island, this quaint place is a nice slow down to bigger hotels. The staff is very attentive. The pool is very nice and secluded. Run across the street to the South most Point Bar and have a drink w Mallory!!! Fun times. It won't disappoint.

Overall a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in 301 which was at the tippy top ocean side, one of (if not "the") nicest room to stay. The view from the turret was beautiful and the room was kept well air conditioned.
That said a couple things stuck out to me as opportunities for improvement. In 301, the turret having the nicest view also has a window air conditioner installed. This does hamper the romance of the view IMO as a noisy air conditioner is in your right ear as you look out the windows to the ocean view. Additionally the room also has a dehumidifier running nonstop and an oscillating fan. After having stayed in the room for a weekend I wouldn't want to be without them but do be aware that the room is noisy and the cooling solution does feel a bit humble considering the price of the room.
I'd also mention that 90% of the pool is unusable to stand in as the max depth is 7'. Being 5' 10" I found only the first 5' of the pool just in front of the stairs was standable before it's over your head. This may be personal preference but to me who would normally do some day drinking out at the pool it feels a bit cramped to do so in the first 5' only. I saw other guests sitting on the stairs and can't blame them. The view of the pool is awesome and almost has an "infinity pool" look when you're in it. This could be maximized by widening the center opening of the ocean side wall so more of the view connected with the ocean from inside the pool.
Lastly the TVs here are not smart (streaming capable). This feels extremely outdated and I was disappointed we could not watch our favorite shows at night when we were unwinding. This was especially disappointing when I discovered the TVs were roku under the hood but we were only provided the Xfinity (cable) remote. In fairness I will buy a Chromecast to insulate myself from this issue in the future but it just seems "off" to not have smart TVs at this price point of a room. Lower priced rooms I wouldn't have an issue.
All in all if you're wanting a truly polished stay experience I'd look elsewhere. That said if you're looking for something unique, historic, charming and you're willing to look past the above issues, this place is beautiful and worth a visit. The staff was also welcoming and accommodating.

I haven't had the pleasure of staying at The Mansion on the Sea yet, but I visit frequently and interact with their amazing staff. The hospitality and warmth you experience as soon as you walk through the door are unmatched. The staff always goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome and cared for.
The cafe at the mansion is a gem, offering delicious food and drinks in a relaxed, charming atmosphere. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or a refreshing cocktail while soaking in the breathtaking views.
As for the hotel itself, it is undoubtedly the most beautiful, picturesque boutique hotel in the Keys. The architecture and decor are stunning, and the location right on the water makes it a serene and idyllic retreat. Whether you're a local or a visitor, Mansion on the Sea is a true Key West treasure that should not be missed.
Nearby activities: Barefoot Billy’s watersports are just a block away at The Reach Resort!
Safety: Very safe and quiet area.
Walkability: You can walk to nearly everything from this location!
Food and drinks: The cafe at the mansion is amazing!

Hotel is renovated from an old home.
There was a rooster outside that woke me up, but that's ok.
Beach is nice but it's not really swimmable, at least it wasn't while I was there. Very pretty scenery though.
Very cozy, comfy bed.
Patio has a nice view. It is shared with other guests which was quite the surprise.
Great location next to the southern most point buoy, which was nice.
If you're looking for a place to crash while exploring the city, this place is for you.
If you're looking to have a fancy high class hotel with an amazing beach, maybe look elsewhere.
Rooms: Rooms were beautiful. I remember the bed being very cozy.
Nearby activities: The southern point buoy is right next to this place, which is neat.
Walkability: Excellent location.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Mansion On The Sea. Our room was beautiful, the pool & views exquisite and the location on the ocean couldn't have been better! 5 stars all the way. My husband and I were here in March for our 30th anniversary. It was the perfect spot to celebrate!
The Mansion is within walking distance or a short bike ride to any restaurant, coffee shop and in old town.
The food and drinks at The Seaside Cafe and Bar (located on the grounds) were great. It was really nice being able to stay put with an option for foid and drinks literally steps from our door if we wanted!
We're looking forward to our next trip back.
Rooms: Rooms are beautiful! We stayed in 106 which had an ocean and pool view.
Walkability: Highly walkable!! Van get anywhere in Old Town Key West within 10-15 minute walk
