I love Opal hotels. We stayed in bar harbor, Portsmouth, lake George, all enjoyed us a lot. This one in key west is no exception, service is good. Rooms are awesome. I especially love the scent they are using, nest sea salt.Beds are clean, comfortable. Room is tidy, roomy, also with microwave and refrigerator.

Loved the hotel. We will definitely stay again when visiting Key West (worth the price). All rooms with Ocean view. All common areas - swimming pool, volleyball, chess, sand beach were clean, extremely well maintained and great to stay. Breakfast does not have many options but excellent quality.

It is a nice resort w/ friendly staff but slow service. We had a family suite which worked perfect and it was clean and had a nice view of the ocean. Highly recommend renting a bike and peddling around The Keys. Be careful b/c they have a resort fee once you check in that is not included in the first payment.Rooms: Clean and updated.Nearby activities: Recommend renting a bike and biking to the beach and downtown area where bars, sunsets and shops are located.Walkability: Can easily walk or bike to main attractions.Food & drinks: Food and drink is mediocre and pricey.

First off, absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. Checked in yesterday and immediately wanted to give 5 stars purely for the kindness of the staff and how special they treated our anniversary. Greeted with a bottle of champagne and a hand written card. Anniversary wishes from the staff even. Can’t tell you how much of an impression those gestures immediately made. The poolside / tiki bar staff are very attentive and the food/drinks have been great. Super excited to experience the cabana rental tomorrow. For incredible views and ultimate relaxation with fantastic staff encounters along the way, definitely stay here !

This was our second visit to the Capitana, and it seemed more pronounced this time, but the amount of plastic and disposable garbage was shocking. Why not have filtered water and give guests reusable cups instead of so many plastic bottles? Why not have ceramic mugs instead of paper or wax cups for hot drinks? The plates used for breakfast don't even look recyclable and they're thrown away. Our first stay a year ago I asked for a ceramic mug so I can make my tea in the morning, and they brought one to the room in 15 minutes. This time, the fellow didn't know what I was talking about and when I finally was able to describe it, he said they don't have any. The pool is beautiful, the beachy area very nice, the room is clean and comfortable and the food isn't bad (although breakfast is not very good). I think we'll try someplace else next time we visit Key West.

We LOVED our stay here. The rooms were clean and beautiful as well as the pool/beach area. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff. I hardly leave reviews, but Lee at the front desk was such a light and was hands down the highlight of our entire stay in key west. She went above and beyond and created such a memorable vacation for us and hope to stay at this hotel again because of her!

I wish the lobby and main hallway on the first floor didn't smell like the kitchen (grease). It would be 100% better. Also wish they wouldn't charge for a resort fee for things that we don't use, unfair. Otherwise it's ok.

We had a really nice stay here. It's not in the central part of town, which I liked because it was quieter. Nicely appointed rooms and incredible views and balconies. We especially love the cabanas - we ended up getting one a 2nd day. Service was great. They provide water throughout the hotel. The breakfast included wasn't great. Got really crowded and not much offered, more like something you'd see at a Holiday Inn. I would stay here again.

There was some kind of festival in key west, so they cranked up the price. 1000 dollars for a 2 bedroom suite. We asked for babycribs, they came straight from the sanitarium. Without a mattress. The breakfast was a joke. Just take a look at the picture, you‘ll see what I mean. The suite was near the Main Street with paper thin walls. We heard street noises and the person above us with a dog. The lady at checkout asked if everything was okay and I told he it was not. When I made my points, she just gave me a blank look like „what do I care?“, can‘t recommend the hotel. The little bar/restaurant was the only bright point. Good food and nice views.

This hotel absolutely delivers. Our room is breathtaking. The view from the room is straight out of a travel magazine. We just checked in today and are in LOVE. We have been poolside all day. Definitely stay here.

We stayed at the Capitana for my 50th birthday party. There were 18 of us. We stayed in a cottage with another couple and loved it. The cottages are well decorated and on a canal. The hotel is very clean everywhere! Spotless pool and patio, beach area. We loved the free breakfast and coffee. The manager Mark and his staff made us feel right at home. It’s close to Duval street. We rode bikes one day and then took a lift service-Very cheap. Awesome sunsets right at the hotel. We will be back!

Wonderful Resort just 2 miles away from Duval!Spotless rooms, excellent service, friendly and well trained stuff, continental breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, yoghurt, toast, bagels etc. An amazing garden with Olympic size pool, private beach , tikkie bar and restaurant.Only negative thing is that we stayed only for 2 nights.

Very nice room on the ground floor with a balcony looking out to the pool. The interior of the Capitana is definitely swank with lots of comfortable places to sit while enjoying a TV show or a full course breakfast. Eggs, bacon, french toast, cereal, fruits, low fat white milk or chocolate, coffee, juice, hard to imagine anyone not finding something to their liking. Outside areas have beach chairs, chess set that has pieces about 18 inches or more tall, an open bar and a pool table. The Capitana is on the west side of Key West which faces the Gulf of Mexico, the east side is the Atlantic ocean. Of course you want to see both sides and everything in between. The Capitana is a comfortable luxurious place to stay when in Key West.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were not only impeccably clean but also beautifully appointed. The property's tranquil location, away from the hustle and bustle, makes it a perfect choice for families. We highly recommend it.

A very good place where take a break and have a good holiday. We spend there some days and We were delighted. Very kind staff and clean and amazing place. Nice and clean pool and the hot tub too, amazing. You can enjoy pool it till late night and the included breakfast is good for starting the day. I love the room and the views and you can rent kayak and have a fun day in the coast. The only thing I notice is that sell that hotel like first line of beach and do not have any beach is a golf with rocks and marine trees, has no sand or beach you can not swimming there just make some water sports like kayak but the pool and it's amazing and staff super kind. I enjoy my vacations thereRooms: Very good and clean, comfortableNearby activities: You can visit all places in Key West because it's near but you can rest, you can rent golf car or scooters and go everywhere and know the best places of Key WestWalkability: Have all access for disability people, and the pool and hot tub has lift chair in good conditions, my uncle enjoy both thanks that devices because he has a disability in his legs and very helpful and kind staffFood & drinks: Very good, I enjoy my Daiquirís
