Stayed at the artist house during the hurricane. First we stayed in the morning room. The shower was a pain it had plexiglass, which came halfway, and a shower curtain with a shower head over the bathtub, the shower head, which sprinkles water on you. It's hard to get soap off, and then the water gets all over the floor, which creates a hazard. The room and bed linens didn't smell fresh. The breakfast is subpar. The biggest disappointment was that my pearl earrings were left on the vanity on a mirror tray and were taken. We contacted the artist house speaking with Sophia and Shawn. Sophia stated that nothing was turned in by staff and that they turned in everything left or found in the room. I saw before we left the mirrored tray in the kitchen on the counter. I wanted to trust that no one stole them, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought that perhaps when their staff was cleaning, they knocked them off the tray onto the floor
But it's been a week, and Shawn stated the room was looked over. Sophie stated when I called that she would look . She stated she would call me back at five ovlock and never followed up like stated. Poor service since we spent a lot staying there. The earrings were an anniversary gift from my husband. So they met a lot to me. I felt like there was no concern for my property. So if you book to stay there. Make sure you lock your valuables up or take them with you. I find it hard to believe that when someone knows where they left their belongings that they are not, there is the answer
Needless to say, we won't be giving them business again.

We just spent the last week at the Artist House and are extremely happy with our stay. We were greeted as soon as we got out of the taxi! The Inn is so welcoming, all of the staff are extremely friendly and are happy to help you or just have a great conversation. The room was huge, clean, and had multiple amenities. Armoire for clothing, tray tables to eat in your room, a coffee table and couch to relax on, coffee and tea on the room, refrigerator for your cold drinks or leftovers and a huge king bed that was soooo comfortable just to name a few. The bathroom had a clawfoot tub but the star was the walk in shower. It had 2 shower heads and a bench to sit on. Loved it. There was an amazing hot breakfast every morning with Momosas! Also a small detail that I thought was genius, they had a full cabinet with things you may have forgotten that you may have needed. Tylenol, shaving cream etc. There was always candy or cookies in the kitchen for snacks. The location to Duval street is perfect! Just a half block away. Also, we had to leave early because of hurricane Milton and they were very quick to over a refund for the remainder of our trip! I highly recommend the Artist House and when we return to Key West we will stay there again!

We stayed here for a nice long weekend and we absolutely loved it. Starting with the check in, Sophia greeted us with a smile and stories about the house (complete with photo albums) I have never seen someone love their job so much. The rooms were so cute, well decorated and most of all very very clean. The breakfast every morning was delish and food was plentiful. Everyday was different and the mimosas with breakfast was an excellent way to start the jay. The evening happy hour was so much fun. We connected with the others in the house and made life long friends. Every night when we came home after visiting Duval street, there was always fresh made cookies on the counter for us. We would stay here again in a heart beat and it was sad to leave. On a side note, we didn’t have any spooky sightings on our visit. We totally recommend it.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the Artist House and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We stayed in the Eugene Studio Suite which is huge and very comfortable. The Artist House is within walking distance of Duval St with about 3 minute walk, a 10 minute walk to the water front and other attractions. They serve an excellent breakfast and have a nice happy hour daily. The back area with a small pool is very comfortable and nice for sitting and chilling. The customer service is excellent. And Anne and Sophie are wonderful people who make your experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend the Artist House. .
Rooms: Huge and spacious

My husband and I spent a couple of nights in the Parlor Suite in May and loved our stay! The couch in the suite was extremely comfortable. We arrived around midnight and had no trouble parking. The property is very close to Duval St - easy walking distance. The service was excellent. The breakfasts were not our favorite- but there was a nice variety and we never walked away hungry. I 100% recommend this bed and breakfast!

I stayed here with a friend a few weeks ago. We stayed in the sun room, which has steep steps (I was aware of this before booking). The room itself was very quaint and clean with a queen size bed. It does get hot and doesn't cool down as much as I would have liked but I also know we are in the middle of summer when it's the hottest and there is nothing to fault them on (I like my room to be really cold when I sleep). They offer a continental breakfast and happy hour everyday but we did not take advantage of that this time, maybe next time. We did cool off one evening in the small pool and it was refreshing and quiet.
Shawn and Sophia were both very helpful, personable and kind. They are one of the many reasons I would return here.
You also can't beat the location, it's not far from Duval and there is a lot to do around there as it it situated in Old Town.
I've been to Key West over a dozen times and have stayed many different places. I would definitely stay here again but in a different room. I look forward to my next vacation in Key West and hopefully they will have availability when I come.

This was a very lovely stay! We chose this hotel because of its history with Robert the Doll (which is very very cool) but it was an amazing stay in every other aspect. Location is superb, with Duval St and Mallory Square with all their attractions within a 10 minute walk. Street parking is available within the surrounding blocks and it’s free. The room itself was very clean and had everything you need, ironing board/iron. The hosts are amazing, they serve a great breakfast every morning with an assortment of hot and cold items (eggs, pancakes, bacon, toast, coffee, OJ, muffins/cupcakes, hash browns) and there’s a happy hour in the afternoon at 4;30 with beer and wine. They offer all the stuff you might need for unplanned trips eg bug spray, sewing kit, advil, beach umbrellas, beach towels and more. TBH e house itself is beautifully maintained and has WiFi. 10/10 would stay here again on our next trip

What a delight. I am going to start with one detail of consideration because the rest of my review is all 5 stars. We stayed in the parlor room, which was wonderful, but very loud outside noise, I was glad I had ear plugs, but you can't beat the location, walking distance to all the things you could want or need. This place was absolutely wonderful, adorable little outside serenity that includes a in ground hot tub for the evenings, happy hour each evening, with snacks and drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic options and a wonderful breakfast each morning that goes until 1030. The entire staff was beyond amazing and made us feel at home for our entire stay. Huge shout out to Jess and Shawn who quickly became our favorite part of our stay here. Much love from Spokane, WA.

Absolutely loved our stay here. It was super comfortable and in a fantastic location. Jessica and the other gentleman were very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Sun Room which we loved because it has a separate outside entrance. The stairs to the room are very steep so I wouldn't recommend this specific room for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. The room was bright with great lighting. The shower pressure was spectacular and bed was nice and comfy with lots of pillows. Breakfast was better than I anticipated and included a nice variety of hot and cold options that changed daily (tea, coffee, mimosas, pastries, fruit, eggs, sausage, biscuits, hash browns, bread, etc). We loved the cute little added touch of the evening snacks left on the counter. Overall a fantastic stay. The history of the house made it even more exciting. We loved hearing the stories from the ghost tours that stop by. We can't wait to come back!!Walkability: Great location to everything. Nearby eateries.
