Rude person in the front. If you want visitors to buy something from your store, be a little more polite.

This was a cute shop, but the person working the register was really rude. I've never caught flak from a store employee for just browsing. And I can assure you I won't be buying anything.

we were on vacation in key west and stopped in to visit this store. The owner had a dog tuffy toy on display wearing one of the dog shirts she carries. I asked if the dog was for sale because he looked like our dog. She stated he wasn't it was only on display for the clothing. She then said let me see how much he was and I will call you with a price. The dog is no longer available but she would sell him to us and she gave us more than a fair price. we went back and bought a few more items. She went above and beyond for us and you can tell. she really care about animals. I highly recommend The Blue Cat!

The lady at the front is very rude. As people left the store she would mumble “Sorry you didn’t buy anything”, as we left it was the same thing. Very weird and strange. Poor interaction.

First time visiting Key West with my family. We adore cats, so we were excited to see this pet store.As we made our way out the store, the front lady said: “I’m sorry you didn’t buy anything.”I replied, “Well, there were interesting things, thank you!”She answered with, “It doesn’t matter if it’s interesting because you didn’t buy anything.”I left the store feeling unhappy. There was an ornament I was debating whether to get it or not but after the interaction, never coming back here again.

Obviously doesn't care about sales. Shopping for our two dogs and had to leave the store because of her rudeness. Employee needs a course on good customer service. And to the employee that snarked at my daughter for taking a pic to send to her Dad, who would have told her to purchase, I found the same product on the internet where I purchased along with several other items. (Not really an artistic copyright here). Store missed out on a good sale today.

I would give 0 stars if i could. Worker was extremely rude and snappy. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you want a snarky remark after an innocent mistake. PSA don't take pictures of anything you are thinking of buying she'll bite your head off ;)

I'm not sure what all the rude comments are. Think I've been going to this store for almost 30years. Always get something for my cats there. Owner has never been rude to me. Maybe she's older now and needs to sell if she's being that mean to people. But like I said I've never seen this side of her. I've even sent pictures of my cat to hang at store!!

Wish I could give a zero star review. Everyone in the Keys has been so nice except for the woman who works here. We walked into the store as another couple was walking out and she seemed miserable talking to herself saying rude things because they didn’t buy anything. We’ll that made us not want to buy anything. So when we walked out she said rude comments to us. Now looking at reviews multiple are years old, maybe hire nicer people just a thought! :) We had a wonderful time in Key West, just shocked can’t believe this lady.

We can't say enough good things about this hidden gem of a pet shop! Found on accident but now wait by the door for it to open on purpose. Animal friendly, cute clothes and toys for kitties and puppies alike and the most friendly small business owner. Love this shop.
