BEWARE CVS Truman Pharmacy. There’s a new Sherrif at CVS Truman Pharmacy named Emily. The self appointed judge, jury and executioner takes pleasure in wasting your time or complicating what should be a simple pharmacy transaction. It took only 2 trips to her Phamacy county for evil Emily to inform me that she’s large, in charge and an equal opportunity nasty human with a chip on her shoulder. I’ve been a part of Key West my entire life one way or another. People in our community like pharmacist Emily are easy to spot in Key West where most of us are happy to be here and a good neighbor to all. I’ve yet to meet a mean spirited Conch. It’s not in their DNA. Occasionally we get newcomers like Emily imported into our community from a National chain like CVS and they don’t prepare their employees for the cost of living shock or lack of housing frustration they will surely experience trying to adapt to life in Key West. Like pharmacist Emily who I tend to feel sorry for. But she’s just too nasty for a proper pity party. If you spot this non member of our one human family behind the counter at CVS Truman don’t just turn and walk away. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN to any of our other fine pharmacies. This is the worst pharmacy in Key West. Don’t believe me? Quietly ask any other pharmacist in Key West.

Worst experience with the pharmacy. The pharmacist told me it would take him over 3 hours to make a phone call. Go anywhere but here for your prescriptions.

While traveling, my pen tips for my insulin pen were damaged and unusable. Even with a copy of my Rx in hand, they refused to fill this in time. I was told I'd need to wait and could have them at the end of day IF they could verify the Rx. Wow. That's a dangerous policy for people who are insulin dependent.

CVS Pharmacy is the worse when it comes to answering the phone. It is almost impossible to talk to a Pharmacy Rep unless you go into the store itself. Not everyone has this option either as someone who is homebound or a really busy life. They make it very hard on their customers. If I could go somewhere else for my husband's medications I would, but because of insurance I cannot.

My family and I just arrived today 11/22/2022. We ate an early dinner at the Brewery and set off to discover the town. My husband's stomach was bothering him, he wanted some PemtoBismal, so we headed for CVS. It was only 3 blocks from where we were. I said , "Let's go I have to go to the bathroom." I have thyroid disease and IBS. I had to go! When we arrived I went straight to the back of store looking for a restroom, I even accidentally set off an alarm looking for someone to let me into the bathroom. When I found the bathroom I could hear voices behind another door. I knocked and asked,"Where can I get a key for the restroom." Nancy informed me that the handle was broken and I would have to go elsewhere. I ASKED, "Where?" She told me across the street at Ron Jon. I ran out of the store with my 15 year old son in tow.....My medical conditions got the best of me. Just as we arrived at Ron Jon, my body let go. In public. I'm 51 yes old and couldn't stop shitting my pants on a public street in Key West FL with people all around. My family and I quickly went into Ron Jon who delightfully told us the restroom was upstairs. I got in the elevator, still unable to control my bowels and the emoyees there took me straight to the bathroom and shopped for new shorts for me to change into. They were sweet and helpful. But I was humiliated. I cleaned the bathroom, toilet, floor and myself. My husband paid for my clean shorts I changed into. I threw my underwear and soiled shorts into the garbage and tied up the bag. Next I had to let the staff of Ron Jon know that I had cleaned the restroom, tied the garbage bag up, but it needed to be taken out. The girl told me that she was so sorry. They have multiple people daily, asking to use their restroom because CVS's is broken. She inferred that it worked. My family and I went back over to CVS to purchase the Pepto my husband wanted. I asked the front help about the bathroom. They again said it was broken. I asked them, "Where yo you go the bathroom while you are working?" They both both shrugged their shoulders. Then an employee told me that he peed on the stairs, gesturing towards the doors. I asked to speak the the blonde manager, shrugs again. An employee told me she had left, leaving the male employee to deal with her dishonesty. Finally got a name of Nancy. Toilet is supposed to be fixed tomorrow in the morning. I'm here for a few days so I'll be checking it out. Shop anywhere else. Such a humiliated experience for me.

If I could give negative stars for this place I would! The rudest bunch of people I have ever met! The lady who was I assume a pharmacy tech attempted to be friendly but the pharmacist definitely was not going to allow that to happen. I walked up and started to ask where something was And I heard him say something in the middle of my sentence than when I finished asking I didn’t realize what he had said and after finishing my sentence he said “I said I’ll 14 all the way to the end on the right quote. First of all shut up and let me ask my question. Secondly obviously if you talk at the same time I do I may not hear what you said! My prescription cost was over $50 but I had a good RX coupon that brought it down to $20. She said the pharmacist would have to redo the prescription to make that change. I guess things are different because as far as I have ever known that’s just like putting in a new insurance number so I’m not sure why the pharmacist had to do anything but either way there was absolutely no one in the store at all I told her I was sorry had to do that even though honestly I wasn’t sorry because really that is their job. The pharmacist rolled his eyes that it to the side and basically told me it would be a while. The girl told me to give them 15 minutes or so. Thankfully that is the only thing I had to pick up while I was waiting though I asked if they had or gave the monkey pox vaccine. He told me know but I asked if he was aware of anyone getting sick from it or anything he shrugged his shoulders and just said I don’t know without even looking at me. Basically nothing the pharmacist did did I ever see him even look my directions so he obviously could care less. Therefore so do I. If you need prescriptions go to Winn-Dixie right next-door. If you have no insurance they will automatically apply the best good RX or other coupon program that they know of For the prescription you are picking up so that you automatically have the best price available when you pick them up they are friendly always smile and once again I asked about the vaccine and was gladly told by the tech and the pharmacist that they were not 100% sure about people being sick or anything after. They told me a few people said they had felt very tired but not sick even though they do not give the vaccine they still were happy to help. Go away from CVS and go to Winn-Dixie it will be the best move you can make!

I am writing this comment in the HOPE that it makes it to the appropriate person/ channel and does not fall to the wayside. My visit today to the CVS pharmacy (Store# 1274, 2790 N Roosevelt Blvd, Key West) was the most HORRENDOUS customer service experience of my life. I have owned my own business, managed multimillion dollar companies and have been in some sector of retail customer service my entire life. I just thought that I had seen it all... until today. I would like to preface with the fact that I have had many dealings in the past with the usual Pharmacist, Crystal, and have received nothing but exemplary service! That said, my experience today with an employee in the Pharmacy, Karen (when I called, no one disclose a last name) was completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and uncalled for. I realize in today’s world that everyone is short staffed and that the employees who are there are more than likely overwhelmed. Knowing this I, as a customer, try to show the same courteouses that I would expect. I am not even asking that you be kind, but you DO have to be professional. Pharmacists are held to a higher standard of ethics much like police officers, teachers etc. Corporations are unaware of what actually transpires daily in their stores, but today’s transaction needs to be brought to your attention. I am prescribed a medication (which due to abuse often comes with a negative stigma). I am prescribed this medication due to my seizure disorder. When the employee behind the counter (Karen) guffaws, rolls their eyes at you, and belittles you (and believe me, it CAN be done without saying a word) then that person needs to be held accountable for their actions. I have never seen such a level of disdain or disrespect, and that is why I am writing you today. I feel as though this has to be brought to YOUR attention, so that she can, at the very least, receive some sort of further training in professionalism. Thank you.

Bought some sunglasses to go over my prescription glasses for driving. On closer inspection they had scratches. I attempted to return them and the CVS store had a no return on seasonal items, the clerk and manager were very rude.

40 dollars for a 9 dollars memory card, I understand that is a convenience store in an expensive area, but 500% more?? It’s ridiculous

I was told that my prescription was ready by the automated message. 45 min drive later I am told I can’t get it for 2 more days. And the pharmacist proceeds to tell that he could give it to me now but “doesn’t want to”. What kind of professional says something like that? This place is absolutely terrible.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a CVS. Went in to pick up a package that ups left there. The cashier called management up and the manager did want to talk to me. When I finally got to the point I asked if I could be shown some respect and for him to explain to me why my $600 item could not be located. He then told me he didn’t need to show me respect and that is just wasn’t there and proceeded to walk away from me. All I asked was to be explained what was going on. I understand if it was not there it was probably not his or the stores fault but a little respect goes a long way.
