The customer service at Cosme's Marine is great. I repowered my boat with them. From the beginning to the end was a pleasure to work with thier staff.As in every repower there were a few tweaks to do. I had just two very minor thing to tweak in and they jumped right on it no questions asked.Theyhave earned my business from here on out.

I can't say enough good about these folks. Shopped all over for a new Suzuki 200hp engine. They had excellent pricing but the big thing was the service. They did everything they said they would do and more when they said they would do it. Super happy.

I have never been so disappointed in a repair shop. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance to get a boat serviced. had to fly into key west early to pull the boat out of the water. brought it in at the scheduled time and they took the boat in. checked back 4 hours later and they said it would take an extra day. not a problem. when I asked what for the following day she replied that they really would not be able to get to it for 4 more days. a simple oil change was all it was in for. I was already into this endeavor $1500 in plane tickets then to be told my scheduled appt that was made 3 weeks in advance was really just a ballpark estimate of time. all I got was an I am sorry without a plan to accommodate the situation. I am sorry also that I trusted this company to perform as promised

I needed warranty service on my 150 Suzuki I had trouble getting service in Big Pine or Cudjoe . I was frustrated after my boat sat for 2 1/2 weeks a dealer in Cudjo key , I had a friend referred Cosme’s marine . I made an appointment on a Thursday for the next Tuesday Tuesday morning they called me at 8:30 and said they would be there in one hour they showed up promptly. The technician they sent out was very professional he diagnose the problem and said he had to go back and get a part and he came back in the afternoon and finish the job. I had this problem on my motor for four years and no one else could fix it but it’s fixed now and I’m very happy couldn’t say enough good things about this company

I don’t understand how anyone could write a bad review of this place. This is by far the best shop on island. Everyone is very friendly and they helped me get my boat back on the water fast. I’m definitely a customer for life.

Juan Cosme is not professional and refuses to discuss service concerns.I had an issue with believing I did not receive engine parts that I had paid for. After reading other reviews from customers that they were sold used parts I fully believe my concerns are now true.Do a drive by of Cosme’s marine before you hire them. Juan’s business practice is in line with the business appearance.AVOID Juan Cosme or...well, save yourself some time and just go ahead and shoot yourself in the foot.

WARNING !!!!! Read all the bad reviews and trust them. Save yourself from being sold used parts. It seems to be common practice here. Avoid these people.

I really want to let all my friends in the Keys that own Suzuki or Yamaha outboards to stay away from Cosmes Marine in Stock Island. I contacted Juan the owner 3 weeks ago to fix an idle issue on one of my 140 Suzuki motors because I didn't have the time myself to diagnose because I have been slammed with other more important business. I trusted Juan and he told me the ECU on my motor was bad, ok so I trusted Juan and he charged me $1,762 for a (new ECU) and moved on. Well I guess Juan didn't know that I own Aqua Boat Works and also have diagnostic equipment and that I also been around outboards my whole life. So he made the mistake that most make that think I'm green to this business. Well yesterday I decided to hook up that motor to the ECU to show a customer the motor is good, I noticed my new ECU Juan sold me has 168 hours on it, so we immediately knew Juan sold us a used ECU, I contacted Cindy his secretary and she told me that she took it out of the box herself and it was new! How? We didn't put 168 hours on it with 7 trips out on the boat. I contacted Juan and he told me it was a used unit with little hours. Now I'm furious! So I told Juan to charge me what a used is worth which is about 500 bucks all day long and reimburse me the rest. He will not! So if you know Juan, you can tell him I said he's a crook that screws over local businesses people like me that would bring more business. Stay away because I have heard from others he will sell you used parts! STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! CROOKS!

Juan is a crook and a liar! His secratary Cindy is another liar! I took my boat here because I own a local boat rental and I was too slammed to fix myself so I trusted Juan to fix it and he charged $1,700 for a used ECU with 168 hours on it, when confronted Cindy she said she took it of the box brand new! Juan admired to me on text messages the ECU was used! I wanted a refund and he said no! I have also heard from others he does this all the time! Guys watch this crook! Take your motors somewhere else! I'm contacting Suzuki and I'm filing a lawsuit against him and his business!

1) I hit a submerged object and my Suzuki DF140 stopped, lower unit was leaking oil, I feared it was done. Juan Cosme diagnosed a damaged gasket, easy and inexpensive fix. 2) Port side 2004 DF250 on my offshore boat misfired on starting, fuel vapors ignited with a boom, smoke streamed from under cowling. Motor had a bad ECU, Juan found that there had been a recall and Suzuki covered the repairs under warranty- on a 14 year old engine! Point is, Juan is thorough and does the job right.

Great people, fair prices. They actually try to help people and not take advantage of travelers on vacation. This is what service should be. If you need Suzuki parts and service, this is the place.
