My sister heard I was in KW and demanded I go to Judy Blumes bookstore and get her an autographed copy of one of her books. I admit I don’t really know any of her books. I walked in and was greeted by a really nice person behind the desk. I explained my situation and quickly hooked up with what I was told was her most popular signed book. The store also had a great selection of banned books. Many of which I had read and was saddened and angered they were banned. Anyways this is a great shop. Don’t even think about it. Just go in and support this store. We have lost so many small bookstores in the world. Don’t let this beauty go as well.

When traveling I love finding independent book shops. Great staff and selection, including a section of banned books which I love to see! Connected to The Studios, worth checking out. You can go up to different levels with galleries and artist spaces, and definitely check out Hugh's View on the roof to take in beautiful view of Key West. Thx Books & Books, hope to be back soon :)

Store was quite cute and the younger gentleman working was very pleasant and helpful. We were planning to purchase 8 books and hoping to get Judy’s autograph on a set for granddaughter. The gentleman told us that Judy was in the store but had run out for lunch. He suggested that we leave the books and come back and she would sign them and maybe we could get a picture. However, when we returned the lady working the counter was extremely unhelpful and downright rude. She basically informed us that Judy was getting ready to leave and would not be signing the books without even asking Judy. She was very condescending and arrogant. We decided to leave the store and make no purchases. If you are a non-profit organization you should treasure every sale you can get and be very friendly and accommodating to the customers. This female staff member is costing you valuable business !!! And causing disappointment for the young ladies who would have loved to have had Judy’s signed books. We won’t return to the store ever !!

Great selection of books in a nice location. Staff were very unpleasant. As someone who grew up reading Judy Blume books, I was very excited when an employee stated that Judy would sign her books if purchased. The employee stated that Judy was on a lunch break but if we left the books at the counter, she would sign them while we left to go shopping and could come back to pick them up. Very disappointed when we waited 3 hours for a signature from Judy, only to be told that the books won’t be signed due to “Judy getting ready to leave the store.” We noticed Judy was still in the back employee room and was never asked about the signatures. Judy never acknowledged us as a customer. Seemed as though the employees advertise the incentive of a signature from Judy Blume to encourage a sale. With the store being a non-profit, it was disappointing to experience such poor customer service. Would probably not return based on the experience alone. From other reviews, seems like poor customer service is a trend at this store. Again, very unfortunate since this is a non-profit.

Cashier extremely rude: Growing up in rural America it was a true joy to go to a bookstore associated with Judy Blume. Very disappointed as it easier to be nice than rude. My advice to this store- learn from Dolly Parton on sharing the joy of books with our next generation!

Cute shop with a nice collection of books. Really liked that they had a table dedicated to books banned in FL. Took stars off because of the cashier.

Very well organized with friendly and helpful staff. If you're a Judy Blume fan be sure to pick up one of her signed copies. If you're lucky, she may even be busily working around the store trying to keep shelves well stocked!

Book & Books is a lovely small and well-curated bookstore in Key West, co-owned by local resident, Judy Blume. My friends and I had a great time looking through the book selections, especially the recommendations and best sellers. We found some gift books, some new fiction and non-fiction, and also really loved the Key West and Florida section.

Manager Emily took a chance on 2 of my children’s books last fall when I contacted her after seeing the documentary on Judy Blume and her book store in Key West. So, I included a visit to Key West this February in hopes that I would be able to meet Judy Blume and Emily. My luck prevailed and not only was I able to meet these special ladies, but now all three of my autographed books are on the shelves in the children’s section. “Henri’s Home”, “ Henri to the Rescue” and “Heidi Saves the Day”. I am so thrilled to be a small part at Books & Books thanks to Emily and Judy Blume ❤️
