Beautiful restored historic house in Key West that belonged to the Geiger family. It’s not a long visit, maybe an hour tops even if you read everything. The gardens are beautiful (those orchids!) and it was really interesting to get a sense of what life in Key West used to be like. Visits are self-guided but there is an introductory talk.

I had the pleasure of photographing an intimate wedding at the Audubon House in 2022 and it was such a lovely venue! The tropical vibes can't be beat and I love that it is closed off enough that you don't feel like anyone else will be joining your party off the street haha The staff was wonderful and I know the couple was very pleased with the whole night! I can only hope that I can visit again some day from Iowa!

I love how people in Key West have done so much to keep historic places alive and this house is one of them.
It’s not only the house, it’s also the pieces you can see inside. I couldn’t help myself and spent a little while siting on the second floor porch before heading upstairs.
The green room on the third floor was a beautiful surprise!

We just celebrated our wedding at The Audubon House and all I can say is STUNNING! Everything about this space is absolutely gorgeous. A hidden gem in the heart of Key West that makes you feel like it’s your own private oasis. Laura was absolutely fabulous to work with and everyone else we encountered there was so kind and friendly. I truly could not recommend the Audubon enough, it was an absolute dream wedding for us!

Awesome guided & self tour of this historic gem! Small fee benefits the upkeep & is worth the stop & walk thru. Extensive family heirlooms still in place. We enjoyed it!

We booked the Audubon House for our mid-day micro wedding and it was absolutely perfect. We couldn't have imagined how intimate it would feel, even being open to the public during the time of our ceremony. The garden area is lush and beautiful and made the perfect backdrop for photos. Laura was very kind and helpful. It was the perfect day!

Had the pleasure of being DJ&MC for Andrea and Alex's wedding here, and arrived early as I always do (events are typically done after the museum closes to the public) so as to be able to enjoy the venue where I'll be working and this had the added benefit of being a venue with a cool history and art, both which I love. I was able to tour the three floors of this charming home and it's mid-late 1850s art and decor. Knowledgeable, friendly docent and staff. Well worth a visit! I could feel a great vibe both in the house and especially the gardens where there was a special energy of all the celebrations that have taken place here which I channeled into my performance. It also helps the exciting energy you feel here that it's located just a short walk away from all the fun nightlife on Duval Street (good for the After-Party lol). It was nice of the management to invite wedding guests in after it was closed to the public. I was surprised to learn that John James Audubon, renowned nature lover and artist only lived here for 3 weeks. You'll enjoy it here!

I am not as enthusiastic with this tourist attraction. There is a very sketchy connection to Audubon and the gardens are not special. The house is interesting but does not justify the entrance price. There are some very cool bird paintings for sale which is probably the objective here. The tour guide provided good service in his introduction.

A fun trek through time where you get to reminisce on the story of James Audubon and the Geiger Family.I wish they was perhaps a few more authentic pieces and original furniture in the house. Over all it was a breeze to stop by and learn some history. There are no tours, it is all self guided with a brief telling of an overview of the property happening in the living room every 15 minutes.

There was nothing blatantly wrong with this place. I just found the house less entertaining that I expected. The prints of birds are all just birds. You see 3 and you know what they all look like. There were few labeled plants on the property. The cook house was interesting to see but takes 5 minutes max. The ticket was $15. I suppose it's impolite to complain about a museum but this place is only worth $5. Yeah I know it must be expensive to maintain the museums on key west. But the lady introducing us to the house narrated well.

Beautiful restored house built in 1850s’. A lot of personal artifacts to show that period of time (those furnitures belong to Geiger family show at the top floor) . A lot of Audubon’s works hanging on the wall, the bird room is unique and whimsical, which my kids adored a lot. The detached cookhouse is interesting to see, looks authentic though it’s indeed replica.Scrolling in the tropic garden, while taking photos of the beautiful orchards, or watching the dancing butterflies, made us feel away from the bustle and hustle of Key west. Our tour guide gave us a short introduce and we wandered around for another 1 hour. The gift shop is the prettiest I have ever seen. This is a special place, we love it!
