Our visit was not over two decades ago, but we loved our stay here. We hope that, if we ever return, it will not have changed much.

A great place to stay. This was our second time and I am sure there will be a third.
Rooms: Many great choices.
Nearby activities: Everything within walking distance. Or as we do biking distance
Safety: Felt safe all the time. Just use your street smarts.
Food and drinks: Anything you want you will find in KW. Prices are resort island high!

First time staying in the Ambrosia, but we are Key West regulars. The Ambrosia is very nicely located on Flemington close to Santiago's Bodega and the Marina (including Onlywood and Waterfront Brewing - make sure to check those places out). It is only a couple blocks from Duval, but pretty quiet. The rooms are on the larger side of the places we've stayed. Clean, modern, I'm very happy having picked this place to stay. They do offer a pretty decent breakfast including the standard hot eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, breads etc.
Rooms: Rooms are pretty large, includes a large armoire with a TV inside. No real dresser, but a large double sliding door closet. Larger sized mini fridge and microwave.
Safety: There is a key coded gate that is closed every night after 8 or 9, it is off the main party street so it is quiet. Rooms are also key coded.
Walkability: Key West is very walkable, but the Ambrosia offers a really nice base from which to explore some of the best parts of the Island. Only a few minutes to the Marina for excursions on the water as well as some of the best restaurants on the island.

Very nice little motel. Located directly on Duval St. and still offering a wonderful quiet in the small. Back yard in front of the rooms. Front office always had an open ear for us and was super friendly. Just beautiful.
Walkability: In 5 minutes on Duval Street.

We took a small apartment here in this really nice B&B. Two rooms, with almost exclusive bathroom and swimming pool. Very central location, where you can walk to the pier where you can admire a splendid sunset, or reach the southernmost point of Florida and only 90 miles from Cuba. Convenient and fairly well-stocked breakfast, despite it not being a hotel
Walkability: A stone's throw from all services and strategic points to see

My husband and I enjoyed our stay and would stay here again, as it's clean and attractive, as well as close to downtown. We are glad that we pre-arranged for a parking place and would do that again, as well. What we would do differently, though, is ask for a room on the second floor. The ground floor room has a nice chair outside but feels exposed because of the large windows, and I don't like to keep them closed. Also, the footsteps above our heads were constant with furniture often scraping across the floor. I can't imagine what the people were doing, but it was very annoying.

Was more than happy at this place, Alia was amazing aswell as everyone else working at this property.
Perfect location as its less than 200m to duval street, clean and comfortable rooms, nice and quiet pool area to have a chat.
Will definitely stay here again for my next visit in Key West!

Just spent 3 days here. We stayed in the Sail Fish suite. I know the building is old, but the room is very outdated - except for the ceiling fan and light, everything else is old and dingy. Poor WiFi.
The room was clean, but the AC in the back room barely worked. It hardly kept the room cool - thankfully we brought our own fans. The TVs are so small and are out of date. Can hardly see anything on the screen. I know you're not in Key West to watch TV, but at night or before going out, you do. When I mentioned all this to the front desk, the woman just stared at me. I don't know her name, but they're all European women - and the one without eye glasses was so unfriendly and unwelcoming. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and she was so unhelpful. The breakfast lady was pleasant. Pleasant. The other staff seemed to keep the property clean. The room though was not great - would not recommend or return. Disappointed. Ever since the Pandemic the service industry has diminished.

The room was old and musty. WiFi was spotty. Tv did not work. Two old window air conditioners running constantly and loudly. Air conditioning could not keep Up at 75 degrees. Staff were unfriendly. We stayed in the Sailfish room and the photo below is the view from the patio. I have had better breakfast at a rode side motel. I have a dairy allergy and inquired if the scrambled eggs had milk. Staff could not tell me yes or no because the eggs come in a plastic bag so they didn’t know the ingredients. The room only has a few electrical plugs to plug in your electronics. You will have to unplug lamps to charge your phones. Room was so musty they had a plug in air freshener to try to mask the odor. The bedroom slanted down so you will be sleeping at a slant. We had to sleep at the foot of the bed so our heads were not slanting down. There are no exhaust fans in the bathroom so when you take a shower or use the toilet there is no way to suck out the steam. It is very hot and humid in the bedroom because it is connected to the bathroom. The Sailfish room is across the street from the main amenities which is not that big of a deal. There is a “pool” on the sailfish side but it’s awkwardly located and you have to walk through another guest’s deck to get to it. Also they call it a pool but it’s a medium size hot tub at best. In regards to the tv not working we did request some help and maintenance was supposed to come fix it but that never happened. They only have 3 parking spots for 25 dollars a day. The staff will direct you to another place to park which is not far and within walking distance back to the hotel. What the staff will fail to inform you is it’s 15 dollars a day CASH ONLY. So once you arrive to the lot you have to go find an ATM to get cash. The lot is a way better option then the hotels parking spot. Ambrosia is a musty disappointment.

Spacious, clean room with a comfortable King bed. Huge walk-in shower with immediate hot water. We rented #4, the "Jungle Room" for a week. There was a private patio outside our door with a large, warm spa just steps away. We paid the 25 dollar daily parking fee for a spot right outside our room. Very much worth the extra cost. A very tasty and hot breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast, etc saved us about 40 dollars a day. Fantastic location, too. Would definitely stay here again.
Rooms: Spacious and clean. Great shower
Walkability: Safe, quiet neighborhood
