We only stayed one night in this LGBT hotel, but it was a good experience. Ronan the host was super friendly and we really felt welcomed as if we are coming to someone’s home. They had good included breakfast, happy hours drinks, the location is quiet and nearby houses are postcard like. Our room was a low cieling one, but we knew that when we booked. The rooms are expensive but I think all hotels in key west are super expensive. I would definitely stay here if we every come back again- mainly for Ronan’s hospitality x

This was our fifth visit to Alexander's Guesthouse and it did not disappoint. I hesitate to share all the wonderfulness that is Alexander's for fear the availability of this gem may diminish! However, I will say it's a first class guesthouse that provides a myriad of small details that makes the stay enjoyable. Of all the amenities provided, the best is the welcoming and affable staff. Consistently warm and friendly, the desk, breakfast, bar, housekeeping and maintenance staff are what make Alexander's an unrivaled oasis in Key West. EVEN Apollo, the resident feline, provides guests with relaxing inspiration throughout the grounds!Rooms: The rooms vary greatly but all provide the service and comfort of being at home.Safety: Very safe area. Guesthouse has a locked gate to keep premises secure.Walkability: Easy walk into town, although it's several blocks.Food & drinks: Delicious complimentary breakfast with a variety of items over the course of a week, often home baked.Noteworthy details: Guesthouse provides (for a fee) bike rentals so you don't have to search around town.

We had the best stay at Alexander’s! The staff were so incredibly welcoming and the fellow guests were some of the kindest people we’ve met. We can’t wait to continue to visit Alexander’s for many years to come! We can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Key West ?

What a fantastic place this was! Beautiful property, super clean, friendly staff & comfortable rooms. Easy walk to Duval or inexpensive Uber ride. Looking forward to staying here again.

Gay couple first time to Key West. Not into the party scene, so loved the charming location not too close to Duval but easily walkable. Breakfast and Happy Hour were lovely moments of social interaction with other guests--staff and guests extremely friendly. The staff were always helpful and super considerate. Definitely would stay again and again.

I had an exceptional experience at Alexander Guest House in Key West.Michael and Tim warmly greeted us at the reception, showcasing their professionalism. Tim gave us a tour of the amenities and our room. Michael, in charge of breakfast, was considerate of my gluten sensitivity, pointing out available options. Beyond the fantastic service, the guest house boasts great amenities.The pool and hot tub offer a relaxing retreat, and the air-conditioned rooms ensure comfort. The entire place is impeccably clean, making the stay exceptionally comfortable.Having stayed in numerous places, this ranks among the best guest house experiences. Highly recommended for a truly delightful overall stay!

Can’t say enough good things about Alexander‘s Guesthouse. Our room was meticulously clean and very well appointed. So comfortable with everything you could possibly need. The pool and hot tub are a great way to enjoy the south Florida sun. Be sure to enjoy the afternoon reception and breakfast buffet poolside. The location is close to everything going on in town, but just far enough away to be quiet and relaxing when you want to get away from the crowds. Which strongly recommended to anyone planning a visit to Key West!PS: don’t forget to say hello to the sweet beautiful orange kitty that watches over the pool area.

I just got back from an incredible weekend in Key West from the Out Loud Weekend and I have to say, Alexander's Guest House exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with such care, friendliness, and professionalism. (Robin & Tim) I've never experienced such wonderful treatment at any other place I've stayed at. My room was perfect, located right off the main deck near the bar and breakfast room. It was appointed nicely and refreshed daily. I loved starting my day with a wonderful coffee and a delicious breakfast with great music. The happy hour was a nice touch and looked forward with a cocktail by the pool. The entire place was beautiful and all the staff had such a great attitude - friendly and inviting. Highly recommend Alexander's Guest House for anyone visiting Key West!Rooms: Beautifully appointed, comfortable, clean and peaceful.Nearby activities: There is lots to do in Key west. The front desk have lots of suggestions and coupons off various activities and drinks/food.Walkability: A 10 minute walk to downtown Key westFood & drinks: The breakfast was great and loved the happy hour!

My boyfriend and I spent a few nights at Alexander’s and can’t wait to go back. The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The other guests were all so kind and became fast friends. The breakfasts were a great start to the day and the happy hour around and in the pool was a fun social hour. While being within walking distance of Duval street and all it has to offer, it was quiet and peaceful around Alexander’s. We can’t recommend this place enough!

Everything about this place was excellent. Outstanding customer service. It was very clean. The complimentary happy hour offered top notch cocktails and beer. They even offered delicious frozen drinks that were perfect for the hot and humid month of July. They make you feel like part of their happy family. I highly recommend it!

We just got back from a 6 night stay at Alexander's Guesthouse. This was our first stay here. I can sum up our visit in one word...WOW! The staff was warm, welcoming, attentive, and took then time to spend a few moments of their busy day chatting up the guests. And I mean the full staff. There isn't a diva among any of them!It's not just the staff...the rooms are immaculately kept day after day. The pool, jacuzzi, the sun decks...all are attended to to keep everything super-clean.The breakfasts were always on point. We didn't have the same hot item once. And the cold items were always of the highest quality...fresh fruits, breads, rotating danishes, even freshly baked cookies and such!Happy hour was always a relaxing time of day to gather our strength for an evening of activities. Though I'm a wine drinker, I could tell the drink menu was very popular.But you don't stay at a guesthouse just for this. For our stay, the other guests were just as interested in meeting the other guests (for the most part). We made quite a few life-long friends this stay. The final night included an impromptu round-robin of ALL the guests at the house sharing info about themselves...laughing, sharing, and caring...bonding at its best. ...An evening that will not be forgotten at Alexander's Guesthouse.My only ding to make this not a 5-star review across the board is just the location. On one hand, you're about 3/4 mile walk from Duval...which can become a long walk after a few days. That makes the guesthouse a very quiet and tranquil place to stay. They have bikes for rent to help make the trip a short one. On the other hand, we found a few VERY good restaurants only a few blocks away, and the marina is also very close.If you're looking for a tranquil place to spend your down time while visiting Key West, Alexander's Guesthouse is the best in our experience. You can keep to your own space and just let the stress fall away. But if you make an effort to connect to your fellow guests, you can have an exceptional vacation!

What a marvelous place Alexander's Guesthouse is! I recently stayed there with some friends and we couldn't have been more pleased. All of the staff was so warm and welcoming, and it was clear that they were genuine in their desire to provide the best stay possible. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their jobs and were truly happy to be there, and there were so many lovely details we discovered throughout our stay. We felt so comfortable, and I look forward to another trip in the future. The surroundings were beautiful, and the location is perfect. I've stayed other places in Key West in the past, but now that I've been to Alexander's, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. I recommend them wholeheartedly!
