The Key West Alamo did a great job of checking us in quickly and accurately. We received the minivan we requested with friendly service. When we wanted to document the damage the car had before rental, a representative was available and helpful. The rental desk and cars are conveniently located on-site at the airport. Dropping the car off at the airport was confusing as there was not adequate instructions and signage to indicate what the proper procedure should be.

Tate was wonderful at check in! Extremely pleasant and efficient! He gave us a upgrade due to availability so we didn't have to wait for our original car selection! Great customer service! Check out was extremely quick and the service was great!

Our Alamo experience started at Orlando. We drove to the Marathon to stay at our resort and ended up driving all the way to the Key West location hours before the storm/hurricane to get extra coverage on the vehicle because they cannot add it over the phone or online. The process was smooth and easy. Customer service is legit and fast/prompt! We left with the storm chasing behind us. So grateful that they were on top of things and made this easy for us when we just wanted to enjoy our trip and not run around all day.

We rented a car from Alamo for me and my husbands honeymoon! Our car broke down on us 1.5 hours away, no big deal, it happens. They called us a tow truck, great right !? No. They changed the towing company 5 times and finally was set on one. We waited an hour in the smoldering heat while tracking the towing company, while it says they are 30 minutes away. Just to find out they changed it yet again and pulled a towing company from Miami. 4 hours later and a phone call asking what was going on, and sitting in the sun the tow company shows up and tows the car. We were told not to call the Uber until the car was picked up. Alamo sent our Uber to an enterprise, another 30 minutes away from our hotel, making this 2 hours from our hotel. To an enterprise that was closed and had no cars available. This should’ve already been set up for us and had a car ready to go. The enterprise was extremely rude and kicked us out when she quoted “I’m off work now I am not helping you” I calmly told her we had been sitting outside for the past 4 hours and a couple minutes to call Alamo back in the ac would help a lot. She insisted we left and left us on the side of the road in a terrible area of town. My husband and I called Alamo again and they tried to send us another 50 miles to Miami. This would have left us over 4 hours from our hotel. I told them it was getting ridiculous and I wanted a Uber set up for us to go back to our hotel. To note that we started out only 1.5 hours away and we are now almost 3 hours from our hotel. After almost 8 hours total of this mess we finally get back to our hotel. We still have no car. I call customer service and tell them to bring me an Uber to the airport to get another rental car. The situation could’ve so easily been resolved within 2 hours yet this took almost 9 hours to fix. Not only did we miss dinner reservations for our honeymoon, we ended up sunburnt l from sitting in the heat and was treated extremely poorly by the roadside assistance I had to call over 15 times. Including getting hung up on by one telling me he couldn’t help me.I am completely dissatisfied with everything except the manager, Tate, at the airport at key west Alamo who you could tell actually felt bad for the situation.

Check-in took a little longer than expected (at airport desk), but being offered a Dodge Challenger as free upgrade made-up for it. Also, returning it to airport was a breeze and agent who met us in parking garage was great! :)

They rented me the worst rental car I have ever had in my life for the most money I have ever paid for a night rental. I had to call Alamo 3 times to report issues with the car so I would not get blamed for it. It also came with a half of tank of gas, which I returned with 3/4.Front desk guy told me he'd credit me $40 if I wrote a good review for him. I hate writing reviews. I hate writing bad reviews. But when you lie to my face and rip me off, i guess I'll take a minute.

We had an emergency while staying in Key West and needed a car last minute at 8pm. They were able to accommodate us immediately. Special thanks to Antonio who hooked us up and to John Clxxxxxx who checked me back in at return quickly and efficiently!!!!! Will rent from again.

Second time in six months I’ve had car troubles with an Alamo car, they’ve told me help is on the way and then no one shows up. Don’t rent from them and, if you do, don’t rely on them for roadside assistance. Their customer service is worse than just flat out saying we won’t help you.

Terrible service! We waited 2 hours in the heat for our reserved rental in Key West. The car was dirty and had very little gas in it. We had to turn it in early because when we went to go for a drive there was no gas available. (A gas shortage) The staff was rude and not helpful! Will not ever use them again!!!

These guys are top notch. I don’t know why the others were so disappointed but they were awesome. Easy pick up and easier drop off. Let us choose what convertible we wanted. We did have reservations so maybe that was the difference. But honestly, why wouldn’t you make reservations this day and age! GREAT EXPERIENCE.

Okay…the reviews are all true about the reservation meaning nothing in this location. I also waited over an hour for the car which was dirty upon receiving it. Staff was informative and would not say rude at all as it is described in some other reviews. I think there could be a management problem as there’s a wait time for most if not all the reviews. Hope things could turn out to be better in the future as there ain’t many other rentals places in Key west as a whole. If I can give a tip, just use an uber in Key west.

If I could give them a zero, I would. Had a car reserved weeks in advance but upon arrival, we completed the paperwork and we were told we had a 45 minute wait. That wait turned into over a 2 hour wait. When I called their customer care number, the lady offered no explanation but was told that we would get an apology email and credit on our bill for our inconvenience. Then we were given a key and told what spot it was in but no description of the vehicle, and had to wander through garage and find it ourself. Did not receive an email concerning any credit. When we returned the car, there was no parking attendant in the garage so we had to go back inside to return the key. The guy said he could not do any check in at that time but to leave the key and we would receive an email confirmation within 30 minutes. Still have not received that email 48 hours later. What I did receive was a text message for a customer service satisfaction survey. I gave them a scathing review. I will never rent from Alamo again unless I am desperate for a vehicle and they are the only provider in town. Terrible desk customer service and terrible corporate customer care followup.
