“Great room views, great beach. Basically like a motel, though. Room doors are open to the outside, which means any and every noise will flood into your room. People talking, kids screaming, police sirens, road traffic, all of it. Not quiet at all.”

“I absolutely ❤️ this gem, its like we stepped back in time to Florida circa 1965. The bungalows are updated, clean and well cared for but the vibe of the property is that of times gone by. It's tranquil yet has recreational options available. We came on Christmas and found it decorated fun and whimsical with lots of red and white lights, decorations and characters. The fantastic staff welcomes you very personally and caters to each guests. There is a food truck for breakfast items that is complimentary. The wonderful woman, Peg, does accept donations for Take Stock in Children. She told me she has mentored four young women through the program. I don't know that there is a better place to stay in all of the Florida Keys! I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is and hope it stays just the way it is.”

“The Reefhouse Resort and Marina is an absolute must-stay. Everything from the food to the rooms and the atmosphere is exceptional. Anyone giving it less than five stars is missing the mark! It’s easily the nicest place I’ve ever stayed, and we will definitely be back.”

“Weve been going to Popps since the mid 80s. Starting going there in my late teens. It's my favorite place to stay when I come to the Keys. There is Nothing like walking out of your room right onto the private beach. ❤️ The View at Sunset will take your breath away....FACT. No filters on this photo.❤️❤️”

The volunteer that helped us was very knowledgeable ( forget his name, but can write upside down well!) and told us where to find covered shaded parking in Key West, how to use the Wind app for picking the best day to snorkel and all about the highlights on the way down the Keys! “Okay so I read the obvious Karen”s one star review. Absolutely ridiculous. You’re in a hotel…. Ummm I don’t think I’ve ever in a completely silent hotel. Some people will always find the negative in everything.

Let’s get down to business. This hotel is an absolute gem! It’s our favorite! It’s QUIET, CLEAN, and private. It’s breathtaking. If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing time this is your place!! Everyone that works there is so kind and helpful. The rooms are so clean. We stayed on the backside of the hotel facing the water. It had a little living room, a refrigerator, dishwasher everything you would need for a stay. They provide WiFi and free washer and dryer on property and they provide the detergent and dryer sheets. That’s so awesome.

So if you’re a human that goes through life with a glass half empty…. Please do not jade this beautiful property for others. It’s not fair. We will always come back here!! It’s a little slice of paradise.

We are at a few great restaurants, Snooks it’s on the water they have great food and great music!! Joe is awesome!

Ziggy Mad Dogs is excellent, the Italian Company Rocks!!!

There is also an amazing Indian restaurant excellent food and service. Called Zaika it’s right down the street. So good!!”

“We just completed our stay at Ocean Reef Club.

Pros: Excellent food and service. Beautiful grounds. Well kept.

Cons: Some laziness from the amenities staff. Chip was in charge of kayaks. Perfect weather. Told us at 2:30 PM, “Ocean is closed. No kayaks.” What? Then his supervisor showed up and suddenly he was open again.

Boat rentals on site. James (in charge of boat rentals) would not return calls or emails about booking a boat. Even the concierge tried to help, and James was completely unresponsive. We were supremely disappointed. Tainted our view of ORC big time.”

“Staff are very friendly, professional & helpful. My husband and I have been traveling all over the keys for the past month and we have to say that this hotel is the best one we have stayed at due to their cleanliness & maintenance of their facility. Having a clean room, clean sheets & friendly staff is so undervalued and we are so grateful to have experienced a stay with courtyard. Thanks everyone!”
