I had a problem with my carI reserved a car from Miami airport a specific car because I have a disabiled and they gave me another one telling me they can not do anythingTo put the wheelchair i had always to take away the wheel it was crazyBut the man in key largo understand me and help me changing the car thank yo very much you are very nice

Would be zero stars if the rating was available. Arrived for a 1pm collection to find the office closed with no notice posted. Only when I enquired later (on my bus to Key West) was I told that no cars were available, a fact that would have saved me two Uber trips and 30 minutes cooking in an empty car lot had I known it earlier. If Avis is my only transport option in the future, I'll likely walk to my destination.

This particular location is shockingly mismanaged .The office is filthy and smells like literal garbage . The car given to me was filthy and was not fuelled to the level indicated in contract . ( the attendant left promptly after I retrieved vehicle , putting a sign up on door and consequently thwarted my issue with fuel ) . Vacuums and cleaning supplies strung out in parking lot .On another occasion , the attendant tried charge me an extra day when the vehicle came back 9 minutes over return time .. ( thankfully Avis refunded this as there typically is a 30 min grace period ) ..Have very low expectations if you need to rent here and ensure you take pictures of your gas gauge and vehcile condition / return time .

This was the day we were driving to Key Largo. My rental car had a flat tire and it was the weekend, so the car repair places were closed. Payless told me I would have to drive to Miami to get a new car (on a spare!). They are under the same parent company as Avis, but the Avis in Key Largo is independently owned, so they said it was up to him if he wanted to give me a different car. They took absolutely no responsibility for it. The owner of the Avis in Key Largo gave us another, very nice car under the same rental agreement. Couldn't have been easier and I was SO grateful. For that they get 4 stars, well deserved.

I placed a reservation for 1pm then called to confirm my reservation. I went to call the guy I talked to back to let him know I would be there at 1pm since this is when they close. He shut the phones off at 12:50 so I got the automated answering service who was no help. My husband and I get to the Avis and he man was inside finishing with another customer, who luckily for us was nice enough to give us a ride back to our hotel because the guy working wouldn't give us our rental bc it was 1pm and he locked the doors. I can't believe a company would be ok with having someone come get their rental then leaving them stranded all because it was an inconvenience to get out of work a little late. So now going forward I will reconsider rental a vehicle from Avis since this was the absolute worst experience and customer service I have ever witnessed and received. And anyone who asks about renting a vehicle I will steer elsewhere.

Beware. I had a reservation for a Camry or similar car. After I signed the the paperwork I was given a small Mitsubishi with only 1/3 tank of gas and door locks that had been disabled (later discovered). I put $20 of gas on the car but after finding the problem with the doors returned the car. The rental agent indicated he would cancel the contract and credit me the $20 for the gas. When I checked my account I found that I had been charged for the rental plus $36.71 to fill the tank. I am working with Avis customer service to resolve. This guy is a crook and not to be trusted.

Nash is unbelievably nice, and considerate. He helped my dad and I both multiple times. Can't say how much I appreciate him and his great service! Just treat him kindly and he will go the extra mile!

When I dropped off my rental, the doors were locked so I had to knock on the door for assistance. The employee then asked where I was parked, took my keys and told me I was good to go. No receipt was given.Two days later I received an unexpectedly high charge. They charged an extra day despite turning in the car three hours before the drop off time as well as an additional charge for fueling despite me prepaying a tank of gas with the rental (which I alerted the employee I had done).While disputing the charge with Avis, the customer service representative hung up on me after 30 minutes on the phone. When I contacted email support, they essentially said nothing can be done if you don’t have a rental return slip. Great system for taking advantage of customers and making extra cash.

I called in ahead of time to check if cars were available. The man at the front desk (bigger man, mustache and balding) quoted me 500 dollars for a week over the phone. I took an Uber over to the location & when I arrived he raised the rental price to 792 for the week. I checked online and the price was 362. I asked the man why he wouldn't honor the price listed online and he said we don't work with Expedia. I called budget and asked if they would honor the price they said yes then the man at the same desk so no I already booked the car. All in all the man was clearly being shady. Called over to the enterprise and they not only honored the price but they guy at the front desk was very nice & respectful.

As a longtime Preferred Avis customer, the Miami Avis counter rarely has our name on the preferred board. Seems to only happen here and it is always because they dont have our reservation ready. Been happening for 10yrs and we've given up.

THE WORST customer service we have EVER experienced. Nash missled us on a jeep rental and tried passing along a subpar SUV which is not what we were going for during Spring Break vacation. He lied, did not try to help in anyway possible to give us back the money we PREPAID. This location does not deserve to be in business. Save your vacation and use Enterprise where they actually have great customer service.

Wish the owner would've let us wait inside for our shuttle, which arrived 10 minutes after we turned in our keys, BUT, all in all, it was a good experience. Got the compact car we reserved, deposit came back onto my card 2 days after turning in the rental, pick up and drop off were quick and easy. Definitely a place that will meet your basic needs for a care rental

I don't give five stars lightly. Matt was wonderful right from the beginning. I actually had three rentals with him in 5 days. I first booked a convertible. Matt apologized, said he didn't have one in stock even though the AVIS website claimed there was one. Matt explained that the site isn't always accurate, but he would accommodate us with a Jeep. The Jeep actually better fit our needs and he gave it to us for less than it's rental price.I returned the Jeep the next day only to realize that the cab needed for the other activities we would be doing that day would cost as much as the rental. Matt gave no objections, didn't even have me do more paper work, just handed the keys back and said "have fun".The third rental was to get my family back to Tampa. We needed something large and Matt upgraded us with no extra charge. Service was impeccable and the communication good. Thanks Matt!
