Bad experience. Disorganized. Rude. Unhelpful. I went for a toilet and called twice and spoke to people and drove all the way there and was told “no one could help until Monday” despite many people being on the floor. Bad customer service.

Just left your store. No one there knows anything about plumbing! Seems that on weekends you have young help which is fine, but they don’t know much. Max is your best employee! At least 8 employees there and no one knows about plumbing!?! Really?

I stopped in to look for a generic part for my charcoal grill, they sell grills here and have a limited supply of parts in stock so I thought they might have something I could retro-fit. After waking the aisles I figured I'd run into an employee at some point and I did, after having a short conversation he insisted they didn't have what I needed so I asked him if maybe we could figure out something to get me by but he insisted I would need to go online and find the correct part, being I am visiting from out of town and had steaks thawing even Amazon couldn't save the moment. Well today "Ace wasn't the place with the helpful hardware folks" unfortunately although it is a nice little hometown store. After being a little disappointed that I wasn't going to find a workable solution I moved on. Fast-forward 10 minutes and a short drive up the road to Publix - I walk in headed to aisle 3 where they sell charcoal, chips and chunks of wood for smokers and voi· là there it is. I guess this Ace is more geared for canned solutions which is fine if you need a box of screws, a PVC fitting or a plunger. Nothing bad here was just hoping for a little unsolicited customer service and a friendly hometown helping hand so this experience was just okay...

Arrived for a trade show at ORC with one of the sponsor signs missing. A quick trip to the UPS Store to print a poster...but no way to mount it. They recommended KLI hardware to get some foamcore. Well one of the guys said that sounds like sign board and go ask Kureem. First Kureem said all that stock went back to the Coconut Grove store but he would look to see if there was any left. He walked me all over and just when about to give up he said he did have some luan and they would cut it to the size I needed if that would work. Yes! And... They had the spray glue to mount it. Problem solved! Thanks.

I am a bit of a weekend DYI guy. I like to figure out things and fix then I when I can. I have been to KLI a few times now carrying some part or piece of something, not knowing what it is even called half the time. “Do you have one of these?”, is the question I am often asking. Several times now I have asked a lady named Shafonda and each times she knew what it was and was super helpful. Once, when they did not have the item on the shelf, she special ordered it (a weird size light bulb) from another store and called me when it arrived. Really nice place. So far, they have had pretty much anything I have gone in looking for from lights to screening to fencing to screws to tools. Happy experiences. Thanks
