Walked in from visiting on vacation and both my bestie and I are from different ethnic background and I felt SO uncomfortable here. They stared at us the entire time like we were going to steal things. Absolute mess of a shop. Things were piled on top of each other and they are very snobby and unwelcoming.

I love Tinky's. They have some very unique items and there is a wide range. I always visit around Christmas & when I need any gift. I can always find something.

I live in KB. It is always nice to go in. If in need of a present, I go there and get something thoughtful. There is plenty of options. I really like their coffee table books, in spite of their price. The home section is my favorite, the ornaments are tasteful, and nicely arranged together

Decent place to buy a gift without leaving Key Biscayne. A little pricey but the local convenience is worth it. I bought a picture frame for my Grandmother.

I am amazed to read such poor reviews. I have shopped at Tinky's for years. It has a beautiful selection of tasteful and well-priced merchandise. The salespeople do not hover or chat; they allow a customer to browse without intrusion; but are always available to help if asked. I have never encountered rude or unhelpful salespeople. I used to live on Cape Cod, with its many gift shops, and I find Tinky's to be one of the most pleasant and well-stocked shops I have found anywhere.

When you come into the store, not only are you NOT greeted, but the employees attitude is so bad that even if you saw something you liked, you will most likely walk out of the store without buying it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I don't understand why they even bother having a store if they do not want people in it.

I am a resident of Key Biscayne. Through the years I have bought many gifts for friends and family from Tinky's. I feel it necessary to mention that one of the employees is consistently rude and offers no solutions to accommodate customers. The employees's customer service skills is severely lacking. This is the third time I've purchased jewelry that is defective. The craftsmanship is below par and when I brought it to her attention she ignored and bullied me into leaving the store. This is no way to treat valued customers.

The employees, are rude and arrogant. Need I emphasize the fact that you are working in a customer driven industry, and choose a place to work, where u need basic social skills. I would have thought, given the area we are in, I would encounter some class. Normally, I walk into store and buy things I don't even need, but I was so turned off that I walked out with nothing.

Visited to purchase a gift for my daughter. The employees did not greet me or offer any assistance. I've never experienced such overt rudeness.Needless to say, I left and made my gift purchase elsewhere.

I am not into reviewing anything unless it is to congratulate someone for a job well done, and I don't believe in bad talking peoples businesses ever, but that all changed today. I actually opened up this account in order to write this review. I don't live in Miami, but for over 25 years this has been a "vacation" spot for me, and I am here at least 3 times a year. I always thought Tinky's was wonderful, not the friendliest staff (ok) but really cute things at good prices! The best little gifts. Also I'd like to say I buy there every time I am in Miami, my mother buys there, and I bring friends who visit us so they can take back cute presents for people back home. Today I needed 4 small gifts and decided to go to Tinky's in order to buy something. I found 4 key chains at $10.00 each- and when I handed them to the lady who was going to "wrap" them for me (their wrapping is super cute) she let me know all she could put them in were little transparent bags since they were not wrapping key chains. Since they were gifts I hesitated and told her to give me a second to think and see if I had the time to go buy paper, boxes, or gift bags, meanwhile feeling her rude stare down. I then proceeded to ask her, if they could please wrap the 4 gifts for me and that I would be more than happy to pay for the wrapping. I cannot describe the rudeness, stares, and whispers from the person who was "helping me out" as well as the two owners who were behind the counter. The truth is that there are plenty of places to purchase gifts in Miami as well as Key Biscayne (I really recommend The Island Shop where the staff is SUPER friendly) I decided it would be too much hassle to wrap the gifts myself, thanked her, and told her I had decided against buying the key chains. This of course did not come without getting a roll of the eyes :) which is perfectly fine... only I will not be shopping at Tinky's ever again.
