After reading some of these reviews it confirms what I thought, after it became Truist everything went downhill. I had multiple accounts there and have finally made the decision to conduct my business elsewhere. The holds were excessive and unnecessary. Even when you prove the check has cleared they won’t release and the manager Donna is not helpful - might as well not be there. Doesn’t matter how much you have in your account which they would try to use that as an excuse but I always had enough to cover whatever deposit was made - excuses excuses… they will have no excuse when they go out of business. No way to do business. Bye Truist!

I had the worst customer service ever! Before the takeover (they call it a merger) from SunTrust bank we were receiving a free safe deposit box from SunTrust bank as part of a home equity loan that we had with them ages ago, and the safe deposit box that we never used.Since Truist took over SunTrust, they sent us a bill for $45 for the rental of said safe deposit box. Being that we are not using the safe deposit box, we would surrender the keys back to the bank.We moved to Vero Beach more than 14 years ago, and we are now more than 80 miles away from that branch in Jupiter Florida. Granted it did take me a month to get down that way to surrender the keys, and after spending $35 in gas round-trip, Truist bank demanded that I pay $7.50 to close the account because it was past the due date. The Vice President and Branch Leader Donna Carroll would hardly get out of her chair to speak with me on the matter! Really? Obviously, patrons and Customer Service really doesn’t matter in this day and age; the big banks just want your money!I’m glad I have no other accounts with them as I would surely move them to a smaller hometown bank and I would encourage everyone to patronize their smaller, local hometown banks!

Have been banking with BBT now Truist for over eight years and deposited a check on 5/1, and it has not cleared as of now 5/10, and they won't clear it for me until (maybe) midnight, and if they don't do it then I'm told I can file a report. I wrote the check from one of my other local in-state accounts and the funds were actually cleared out to cover the check on May 2, and at the most they can only hold it 7 business days. They collect interest on your money when they are holding it, so they don't want to make it convenient for their customers. Ridiculous. I currently use several different banks and they are absolutely the worst. I transfer several thousands of dollars into Fidelity and it is there instantaneously. I wire millions of dollars as part of my work and it arrives within a couple of hours for a $15 charge. None of the big money guys I've ever worked with in the past 20 years have ever used this bank BTW. Truist is large enough and the tech is there making these holds unnecessary, they just don't make the money off of you so they inconvenience you to do so.

Alex Rosario provided great customer service with explaining all the current offers/benefits and helping to set up a new account. I would definitely recommend visiting this branch!
