Dave Mingace is brilliantly techie, great fun to hang out with, and a first-class Linn retailer and upgrader. He was endlessly patient when I took in my LP12 for significant upgrades, showcasing and explaining the legendary Scottish company’s high-end components. His perfectionist service is reliable and fairly priced. MCS — which offers way more than just Linn, although that’s all I needed — is worthy of the highest recommendation.

Mingace was very helpful with my purchasing a new, factory original shipping carton for an older Linn Sondek LP12 turntable that my brother-in-law shipped to me from Florida to New York after my father passed away. In addition to sending all the materials needed, they helped my brother-in-law through the process of dismantling the unit and packing it properly. Great service and support! Thank you!!!

Unless you have limitless funds, and your home looks like the photos they've posted, this father/son duo are just in it for the money. After quoting a job down to the penny ($5198.07), they wanted an extra $1200 from me, "because it took longer than they expected." And this was after I removed several items from the bid, as well as them giving me a $200 military discount, to get us within our $5000 budget. What was the point of that, if in the end they could just charge me whatever they felt like. The red flag was on Day 1 when the father stated, "I can't believe Alex took such a small job, when we have $100,000 jobs we could be working on." That's like telling your date, "I can't believe I'm here with you when I could be out with someone so much hotter." Rather than finishing the final phase of the job, they've left me hanging for 3 months and now recently filed a lawsuit for $1200. Thanks for the military discount!
