Manager was rude and accused my MOTHER of stealing after she paid her ticket with CASH.ITEMS WERE RUNG UP THAT WERE NOT IN HER BUGGY, making her "total" more than it should have been.BEWARE!!! Check your recepits here before walking out of the store!!!

Outdated and a lil pricey, but what do you expect for a small town? Staff make up for it though, always friendly!

Greer’s is a nice local store in Jay. It’s old school yet clean and well stocked. Some people who complain mainly transplant’s should realize it’s not Publix Or Walmart . Just a place where you grab stuff without goin all the way into Pace! Enjoy the friendly folks in our small home town ?

Never had a "bad" experience there. Sometimes the meat selection is not as good or abundant as it should be in my opinion. Overall it's a good Grocery store and in order. Has always been clean as well. Down home local people work there as well and gives it a personal feeling.

I'M ALL FOR SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES BUT WHEN PRICES GET THIS FAR OUT OF THE REALM OF REASONABLE ILL JUST DRIVE TO WALMART IN MILTON. ONE HEAD OF LETTUCE AT WALMART IS $1.58 VS $4.99 HERE; THE DIFF ON JUST THIS WILL COVER MY GAS TO MILTON.8.17.21. Temporarily closed bc of covid. Meaning, closed bc an employee got a cold or is sick from the vaccine.

I attempted to return cans of cat food my cats would not eat. The cashier said; “I’m not sure we can take it back because you’re cats don’t like it.” The lady in costumer service said; “We aren’t doing returns because of Covid.” To which I answered; “I’ll never shop here again because of Covid.” The employees at Greers handle every product in that store, if COVID is so utterly contagious, why is that not an issue? The real issue is obviously very poor customer service. They should have kept it in the return bag, I originally got from Greers, that the cashier touched when the sale was made. Gave me back my money, of course after touching the money and God only knows who else touched it. Put on a paper face mask, rubber gloves and tossed all of it in a bio-protected sealed container if they were that fearful. But at least they would have not lost a long time customer due to blaming a very poor decision on COVID.

This is what you would expect from a local grocery store. What sets it apart for me, is the kids carts in the store, the friendly staff, and Tanya sitting at the front of the store. She is a ray of sunshine and makes the shopping experience even better at the end of the shopping experience.
