Writing this review as proof of contact. All of your "Pay Online" links are not working, when I call your prompt says that you are closed at 1pm in the afternoon, and your 'Pay by Phone' States to go online.
I better not see a late fee on my bill! I've been trying to pay for a week.

The quick response from the EREC teams from the two days of severe weather across NW Florida was amazing. Hats off to them working in those conditions I am extremely grateful!

This is a fine power company. Before the storm today they had crews out address potential hazards to the power lines. I just thought this was pretty exceptional and wanted to share. Haven't lost power yet and feel confident if I did it would be long before it was back on again

They are the worse people to work with the disabled and low income. You receive a bill by mail get it around the 8th due buy the 15th and your cut off by the 23 rd. If you ask for arrangements the Lady in Jay gives you a hard time and only gives you til 2 days before the end of the month. They also cut power off on customers during the pandemic . What is really bad they own the Water Company

I have had a very tough time trying to clear up a problem with their website "errors". This frustrated me so much. Speaking over me asking me to repeat, telling me to go to the pay now... then asking me to reset up the ID information and password then transferred to another person as I could not get the email they sent to reset password or I'd that they just set up me with. On going through 3 people, and hanging up. Called back handed the phone to my husband to tell them it was OK for me to speak to they and set up payment to our account. I had a error 4 times on thier web site.

Today 3 men was scheduled to conduct tree trimming around my power service lines. They were extremely professional and easy on our lawn. Great job and thank you very much.

From EREC, I get my electricity, water, and internet. The women that work in the Jay office are polite, helpful, and friendly. Electricity is mostly dependable, although it can go out in storms with high winds. Water is reasonably priced. It seems to have some mild discoloration from minerals by time it gets to my taps. Internet is another story. I live in a rural area. I have EREC equipment for satellite dish outside and inside. Internet is spotty. Many times during high usage hours, it is not fast enough to download movies to watch on streaming TV. I have talked with IT for the company. I do use internet almost every day for usually several hours a day. But, I still support the Co-op. And have kept my services thru them. (from an retired nurse)

They helped me with my first surprise bill of 500 after last winter, by giving me a credit because I am a disabled Combat Veteran and never dealt with owning a home before. They help me understand if and when I am using to much power if I am so that I can not waste electricity.

On a regular basis I pass by an EREC building in Santa Rosa County… One day I noticed a sign that said “help yourself free mulch”… i’m always for free stuff! But I also noticed that the sign promoted being green. And I’ve always had an interest in protecting the earth… Maybe it was because I was raised in church and learned that that was one of the first jobs God gave people. Even so, I think this is a good statement for an electric company to make and support. Also I think that reflects well on the community. It always bothers me to see plastic bags full of leaves on the side of the road in front of houses. I wish I could do more to recycle limbs in my yard… But it is not real practical for many of us who live in town. It is really nice when a community cooperative assist us in doing something really good not only for now but for the future!

Update: ever since we have been charged the Solar Recovery fee, reliable service has fallen as we have had more small outages on sunny days, where there is really no apparent weather reason. These glitches are NOT good for electronics. I have replaced numerous surge protectors with EREC's service in the last 6 years, than I had to when I was stationed in various parts of the US and the World during my 37 years in the Navy!We went Solar to help power the grid, and to help defray the cost of electric, all with federal and state incentives. EREC and POWERSOUTH became so greedy, they now charge ONLY solar power owners a Solar Recovery Fee. This discrimination has been forwarded to the BBB, and to State and Federal representatives. There are about 65 customers who are solar owners in this EREC area, and we are the only ones being discriminated with this Solar Recovery Fee. This action only discourages people from going solar, even though their website states otherwise. Furthermore, reliable electric service has significantly declined since being charged the Solar Recovery Fee as we experienced more power interruptions on sunny days…..
